Eden was just a normal girl nothing special really. Her mom got a great new job so they moved to D.C. and she was going to go to school at the school her mom got a new job at. She was worried about starting over and didn’t really want to leave her best friend. Her friend was very encouraging telling her everything was going to be fine. Plus she was going to get to go to school with the first son Andrew Wellington. She talked about how hot he was and that maybe Eden should try and snag him. Eden ...more

Eden Warren is just a normal small-town girl on a scholarship, who happens to catch the eye of the son of the President, a hottie named Andrew Wellington. Eden tries not to be impressed, being well aware of all the negative publicity surrounding Andrew. As Andrew tries to make her believe a tiger can change his stripes, Eden feels more and more drawn to him, much to her dismay. Yes, this is a truly interesting, rather sweet story of first love, in the beginni

First off, thank you to Tara Tolly and Goodreads First reads for providing me a copy of this book.

I have to admit, once I picked up this book, I didn't really put it down.
From the first page to the last I enjoyed it! I wish it didn't end where it did! I had no trouble connecting to Andrew and Eden, they completely stole my heart from the beginning!

Hoping to read another by Tara Tolly soon!

I received this book for a fair and honest review. I fell in love right along with Andrew and Eden. This is a fantastic story. I felt like I was right there with them. Eden was scared of Andrew at first, because of the tabloid stories, but once she met the real Andrew things changed. Then how to you feel about the end of the world? How would you prepare? This is a must read book.

This leaned a little too heavy on the teen romance side for me. The first half was fairly predictable, but the second half drew me into the story more. It is a solid story for a first book.

The typesetting was terrible in the copy I read.

First Sun is Tara Tolly's debut novel and it is impressive. It is a young adult romance novel with a side of science fiction. For those readers who enjoy stories about falling in love and the sacrifices that go along with finding true love, First Sun is definitely a novel the deserves your attention.
I identified with Eden as she was trying to find her way in a new school, a new larger city and then falling for the "wrong" boy. Most readers have probably experienced something similar to Eden and

Who wouldn't want to date the presidents son?
Eden. That's who.

She's new to D.C. and the First Son (Andrew) has his eyes on her. However, he's been dubbed by the tabloids as First Disaster for his partying lifestyle, something Eden's just not into. He insists he's changed, but has he?

The first half of this book is the sweet love story of Eden and Andrew. The second half? Well, that's where things turn dark. Because Andrew and his father are hiding a very, very big secret.

Wow! I didn't know what to expect when I started this book, but I am really glad I read it! Andrew is the president's son who after losing his mother became pretty much a bad boy. Eden is just your average small town girl who moved to D.C. to attend school where her mother got a job. When she meets Andrew, her opinion of him is not very good. She of course had read the tabloids and saw his bad boy persona. But as she gets to know Andrew, her view of him changes, as does her feelings. When a huge ...more

First Sun starts out as a well-paced, but fairly conventional young adult romance. Girl-next-door Eden finds herself going to school in Washington D.C., and trying to deny the attraction she feels for the President's son, whose wild antics nearly cost his dad the most recent election.

But Tara Tolly throws the changeup about halfway through the book, and the stakes get much higher.

The relationship between Eden and Andrew is realistic and loving, but with just the right amount of conflict to make

I truly enjoyed this book because of the two story lines that came together, which made it much more than I had originally thought the book was going to be about. It mixes a young adult romance with a tiny bit of science fiction, I guess you would call it. (I usually do NOT like science fiction, and wouldn't have picked up the book had I known, but this book is different.) Both stories seem plausible, and I had no problem suspending disbelief. I love the characters Eden and Andrew, and hope the ...more

This is a great love story in the midst of an impending devastating event. With the end of the world only a couple months away, Andrew and Eden must face the options they have to save their love. But will love be enough in the end to save them or are they both part of a grander plan? Great job by Tara Tolly in writing a book that you will not want to put down. I can promise you will finish this book wanting more! Very well written with believable and lovable characters. -Chell

A breath of fresh air! What an interesting combination of storylines. The characters were authentic and had organic thoughts and fears. The only drawback I saw was one incident I won't name for fear of spoilers, but I felt it was not needed. It went overboard in my mind and turned the book too fanciful but I loved how she ended the book. Bravo! ...more
