I have read fivve books in the "American Chronicles" by Robert Vaughan.

So knowing of his good work, when I found a single volume historical novel by him I grabbed it. I was NOT disappointed!

Richard Prouty was Mr. Vaughan's ancestor. But not enough real historical records existed to write a biography. So the author wrote a historical novel based on his ancestor's life. Very realistic, well written and a good plot. The descriptions of early Colonial America are great.
