Very interesting book about the remarkable frost fairs that took place on the Thames in London between the 17th-19th centuries. The book is illustrated with contemporary paintings of the fairs, with descriptions of what is happening in them. It makes me wish I could have been there to join in the fun. This is an excellent informative book for anyone interested in the fascinating frost fairs.
