Another good read..

I didn’t like this book as much as I did To Steal a Highlander’s Heart. This one seemed to drag out too much with Finn dragging Catriona to him then pushing her away again. I got really irritating after about the 4th or 5th time. And I didn’t understand why Finn and Catriona had to get together at just the right time, why everything had to be in balance. Balance what?

And she still had not told anyone who she really was. No one found out she was Catriona until about 85%. And i

A historical romance novel with highlanders is sure not to be missed. My attention was caught with the premise of the book and the gorgeous cover. I was hesitant at first to read it because it was the second in the series, but was glad to see that it could be a stand-alone book. This was my first Samantha Holt book and it was a delightful read.

I very much enjoyed the story between Catriona and Finn. Catriona had to take her dead sister's identity and pretend to marry her sister's betrothed. Afte

This is Finn and Catriona's adventure with a little help from the Fae. Though this book can be considered a stand alone, I would suggest reading To Steal a Highlander's Heart (Highland Fae Chronicles)first as there were some elements I think would have added to this story.
The cover of this was nice and I think it fit the story nicely. I loved how the story was something different.Finn and Cat's chemistry is great and I really loved their love story. It wasn't just a simple A+B=C romance. I thin

A Passionate and Magical Highland Romance!

Passion combines with danger, faery magic and subterfuge in To Dream of a Highlander, another sensual Highland romance from Samantha Holt. I found it to be another super read from an author who never fails to deliver in whatever genre she is writing in.

Finn, who appears in the previous novel, To Steal A Highlander’s Heart, is a hero whom I very quickly fell in love with. Despite his jovial manner, this handsome warrior is still mourning the loss of his f

Sometimes a book just catches your eye. Sometimes, it's the cover, sometimes it's the author and sometimes it just says Highlander in the title.. For me it can be any of the three.

I was looking for a good book on netgalley and saw the work Highlander in the title and I found an excellent one. To Dream of a Highlander is the second book in Samantha Holt's Highland Fae Series. A delightful mix of sexy highlanders and one sneaky lit

My View: I was given an arc of this book. This was also my first Highlander book ever. This book can be read as a stand alone.

That being said I absolutely enjoyed this book! You go through both Finn and Catriona's points of view through out this book... If you have read Sam's books you will know that Finn was married once and lost his wife while she was giving birth to their baby girl he has vowed never to love again because he blames him self for Alice'

The cover is gorgeous and shows the highland background which follows the plot in the story, to me a cover is always key to grab the readers attention. This is another well written novel by this author in her Highland Fae Cronicles. The author has added together two different realms into one and made it into one amazing storyline. I love historical romance, and this one has a touch of fairies. We meet again a fairy named Teile who has been trying to go back to the fae realm but has to prove hers ...more

This is the second book in the Highland Fae Chronicles. It does stand alone, but I suggest reading them in order.

To Dream of a Highlander is the second book in this series. While I didn't read the first book before I read this one, I highly recommend doing so. This book can be read as a stand alone but the events that occur in the first book are referred to quite a bit, especially in the beginning. I actually plan to go back and read the first to get a better understanding.

Samantha Holt did a fabulous job in this book transporting you to Scotland; the dialog was accented just as you'd think would actually

5++ Stars!!

Samantha Holt is a very talented author. She sweeps right into her Highland world in To Dream of a Highlander. I felt as if I truly was apart of Catriona. When she was hurting, I felt her pain. When she was happy, I laughed along with her. The detail described in To Dream of a Highlander was amazing! I could picture the character's surroundings and feelings as if I was right there with them. Catriona is a very strong, sweet and caring lass who will fight to the end for those she loves

Magical! Samantha Holt is an author of historical romance filled with tenderness and adventure! I devoured TO DREAM OF A HIGHLANDER, it was fantastic from beginning to end! It was so captivating! I simply could not put it down; I had too much fun following Finn and Catriona’s journey! If you have read her other books, you will remember Finn, who is now a widow and vows never to remarry again. The story starts as Catriona escapes a mean Viking, who wants to rape her, during a Norse invasion and i ...more

Another Scottish win for Samantha Holt!

Hotness factor: This author never disappoints…

Tèile the green faery is back to her same matchmaking tricks but this time with Finn and Catriona. But Finn thinks that Catriona is her dead sister Katelyn. Did I mention that Katelyn not Catriona is betrothed to someone else? 13th century Scotland and their problems, right? Nonetheless, yearning and passion erupted between them only like Samantha Holt could describe it!

Book 2 of the Highland Fae Chronicles is Finn and Catriona's story. Finn is a widow and has vowed to never love and marry again. For her father, Catriona is pretending to be her deceased twin, Katelyn, and preparing to marry a man she does not love or even like. She loves Finn but doesn't think he returns her feelings. Can the green faery work her faery magic and make this match happen?

It was good and a good continuation of the green fairy's tales! I love that Lil fairy, she doesn't let much get in her way of match making. Overall this was a great story of what ifs and second chances of being happy and finding ones soul mate in the end! Finn I liked him in book 1, although he was hard to get much of a read on in the first book. He was just Finn! Nothing more nothing less! "TO DREAM OF A HIGHLANDER" by Samantha Holt. Ms. Holt has done it again! "To Dream of a Highlander" is an action-packed, romance-filled story that keeps you turning page after page. I never miss a book by Samantha Holt. Her stories have it all. There is passion, secrets and revenge. Add to this a touch of Fae magic and you have a tale that had me hooked from the first page. This is the story of Catriona and Finn. She is a pawn in her father's political game and he is the valiant warrior sent to save her. Their attraction is powerful and their romance is very emotional. They are destined to be together but there are many problems they need to overcome. I love the magic of th ...more

Catriona's twin sister has died and now she must pretend to be her in order to save her clan. Her sister was betrothed to the vile Laird Gillean. Instead of rescuing his bride to be himself he sends Finn Mac Chaluim to do the job. Tèile, the green feary who has been banned from her tribe for her mistakes, must make Finn and Catriona fall in love and marry. What a job that will be since the two are set against ever marrying.

This book was just too cute. I could not put it down.

Exciting fun read. You get action, deception, and completeness. I thought I had read this author. I had no idea that I had not. I decided to read this book not knowing it was a series. Yes I had all three on my Kindle. This can be read as a stand alone or in the series. Which I will now do. The story was so good, and you rooted for both tho0ugh you also wanted to slap some sense into them sometimes. Would you do the same? Would you walk the same path? I don't know but the story was well done and ...more

I like both characters a lot, more than I did Alana and Morgann in the first book. The story is sweet and reads well. But there isn't much else to it. It doesn't deserve 4 stars even though I did enjoy reading the book. It has what I like in my lead characters. But as a book it really isn't that outstanding.
If you have a few hours to kill and do not want to invest too much in a book, this is it. It still reads a lot better than some books with raving reviews out there.

Whenever I read a historical romance from this time period, I often wonder how the human race survived when women were treated so abysmally. One of my theories is covered quite nicely in To Dream of a Highlander. We survived with a little supernatural help from the fairies. A green fairy named Tèile to be exact, who has been exiled to the human realm to make a match between Catriona and Finn without circumventing fate and causing untold havoc with her magic. Poor fairy didn't have a clue as to h ...more

A very interesting, easy read. I loved the romantic torture that was played out between the characters. I was thrown alittle by the fading of the green fairy, I'm not sure she really needed to be involved, but her own story could be a interesting and exciting read. Was gutted that a main character was killed off, I really liked him and was hoping his story would be next.... Not to be. Looking forward to reading the second instalment of the highland face chronicles!

Good story but kind of hard to follow the forced scottish accent. The fairy aspect was an add in that explained the o so convenient happenings that went on. The main character is a fainting frail damsel and her hero is conan the barbarian scottsman. Its a quick sugar coated story that's fun. Much like a harlequin romance its a feel good quick read. A fun read for the romantic

I love highlander romances. They are probably my favorite romances to read.. Samanthas story will not disappoint you. She does a wonderful job writing her books. I loved reading Finn and Catriona's story. Its a love story about second chances with some magical thrown in. I would recommend this book to highland and fae lovers.
Samantha Holt has done it again!!! This is a great steamy historical romance!

Some of the things I love about these books is how easy it is to connect with the characters. From the very beginning I was rooting for their HEA. I love the dialogue with the Scottish accents.

Nice quick read

I enjoyed this book from Samantha Holt. It was a nice highland warrior romance with a hunky hero who saved a lass from a brutal viking and then saved her again from a forced marriage to an old, mean and greedy laird!
