Sena Morgan has just begun the voyage of a lifetime, but she’ll never reach her destination. A terrorist-launched EMP destroys the ship’s power and communication systems and starts a fire onboard, leaving thousands of passengers stranded in the cold, northern Pacific.

As food and water dwindle, strangers with a deadly secret are brought aboard the ship. Sena’s only hope of survival is to get as far from them as possible. At sea, there’s nowhere to run.

Sena meets a couple trying to get home to their daughter in a small town in Washington. Together they will face unspeakable challenges as they try to reunite with their families despite a terrifying new reality.

Written for all fans that love apocalypse stories, Voyage is a Young Adult survival novel that mixes an action packed story with themes of family, hope, and determination.

I liked Sena in this, although at times, she annoyed me slightly.
It was nice to see how Sena's journey, and Dee's journey were connected.

This one seemed to have a slower start than the first one, but when everything happened, it definately made up for it.

Overall, Another decent read.

What would happen if an EMP happened while on a cruise ship? Barr does a great job at a very realistic scenario in Voyage. I have already downloaded book 3 and look forward to continuing this well written series!

Can't wait for the next book

I love this story line and how it focuses on how the women and teenagers cope and pull it together most books set to this theme make the women and children out to be helpless or burdens to their men folk but my great grandmother was a share cropper who raised a dozen kids by herself on a small pie e of land she worked for a share of the crops and the little dirt floor two room cabin that she and all the kids lived in they had no power no running water and not much money but she worked day in and day out to. to clothe feed and educate all her children and her own siblings my grandmother never had to work quiet like her mom did but she brought what she learned to the next generation and then I picked up some of it from her and my great grandmother and great great uncle I miss them all dearly and although I don't have to use any of the skills they taught me I am grateful I know them in case I ever do need them and I'm glad this story line shows that women are smart strong and resourceful specially the younger generation because they are who will one day have to be strong enough to fix what saddle our generation has done

Quick read!! Page turner!!

I really like these books!! They are a quick read! Thrilling!! There is a hint of romance but nothing inappropriate so they are probably great for a teen or young adult!! I really enjoy her style of writing! Great story! I’m looking forward to reading the next book!!

Good read with a family slant

It's pretty standard for EMP books but I did enjoy it being more about family and pulling together rather than the constant good guy verses all the bad in the world typical story. There is conflict through out to keep it readable it just also has a nice back story

Cozy Apocalypse

These books have a sweet naïveté to them. They are a lovely respite from the events of these troubling days. If that’s what you’re looking for you’ve come to the right play. Rock on Ellisa Barr, you’ve brought joy and warmth to this old geezers heart. Thanks!

I had read the previous Powerless Nation book and enjoyed it, so I decided to read this one. The plot sounded very interesting- an EMP while aboard a cruise ship. Overall, it was a good book, but there were many times when the author added some very interesting characters or scenarios and next thing you know we are on a totally different topic and never spoke of it again. This book had so much more potential, and could have been so much better. Would I still recommend it? Of course. It WAS good. It just could have been even better. Hopefully the next book adds a little more excitement (and possibly even a little romance).

A great follow up to "Outage"

I read "Outage" first and it was so good, that I downloaded this book immediately after finishing the first one. They both are really well written. MS Barr is an excellent story teller and makes you feel as if you are right there experiencing everything with her characters. Although I really hope none of us ever have to experience a nuclear explosion. These stories really make you think about what could happen and what our lives could be like if it ever did. I hope MS Barr continues with this series.

Loved it

Was nice to read something that made you feel good at the end of it . It wasn't something that you had to do anything except enjoy the entire book and be glad that there are good people around us . This is the second book I read of hers and I will read them all. That was the only disappointing part is that the new one won't be out for a few months please make sure that I get to know exactly when it comes out. I couldn't put it down and I read it all in one day.

I thought this was a wonderful sequel to a really good first book in the series. In this sequel, we here about a girl called Sena, who is on a school trip with her class, on a cruise ship, when the EMP strikes. Naturally, this sends the ship into a sense of chaos, and we follow Sena's story from there.

I loved the link to the first book, and also enjoyed the idea that this book can also be read as a standalone, as things get explained from different perspectives.

Captivating

Ellisa has a spell of magic in narrating the story from different angles while keeping the reader glued. Ted & Claire are the perfect example of caring/foster parents while on other hand, felt pitty for Sena what she went through being left out without her mom. Buy happy to see, she got adapted by Ted & Claire and she deserves it.
How you treat other's does come back in a way to reward you was proved from the interaction between Sena and Angel (Sassy).

This book was even better than her first! Loved everything about the story. It sucked me in and didn't let go. I had to force myself to put it away each night. Well done Ellisa!!
Each character was well thought out and the story was especially well plotted. Ms. Barr did her homework and seemed to know exactly what she was writing about. So believable! Well paced, well written. Again, well done.

I was disappointed. I have wondered what survival skills would be utilized on a cruise ship and this author totally skipped over all of it. Then 5 weeks in a raft and no learned skills and only a small fight over water. The whole book seemed like it was just trying to get to the final destination and glossed over all the hardship along the way.

VOYAGE

This is the second book in this series and it picks up from the first but this time with Dees parents and how life happened with them on the ship. I recommend that you read the first book before reading this one that way you know what exactly is going on with the world they are living in...

This was an interesting continuation of the series, with the protagonists stuck on a cruise ship rather than on a farm. I have to admit that that kind of survival scenario is less interesting to me, but the characters were good enough to keep me reading and the end was very satisfying.

Good read

I've really enjoyed this series. Short and not as dark as some books in this genre. The main characters bring hope that people can work together.
