3 Montgomery Interfering Stars * * *

Gah.... Families; can't live with them... and can't live without them. It can be so frustrating to be the baby sister to a group of domineering, stubborn men who only see you as their flighty, free spirited sis. It doesn't help when the woman in question has flitted from different jobs and locations without much planning...kind of a seat of her pants gal.

Summer Montgomery has a reputation of being irresponsible but really she just hasn't figured out what she wants out of life. Her last experience, though, is one she never wishes to repeat. She fell for a man... thought this was it, gave her heart and it turns out he was hiding serious ugly secrets. Never again....

William Montgomery feels his niece's pain... He is the Uncle to watch out for in this family... his stealth matchmaking ways have it pay dirt with his own children and now he has succeed with two nephews. He is on a roll. He has Summer in his sights and by sending her to the Portland location to learn about the business from her older brother Zach, he knows she will be in close proximity with his VP and best friend Ethan. All the elements are there for William to chalk another win on his matchmaking board, for these two have been interested in each other for years... but both never knew the other one was interested...

Oh, William can see it now.... and won't it be interesting... because the Montgomery men are terrible when it comes to their sister...and it will test Ethan... challenge him... once he figures out he has a chance with Summer. The question and hope Uncle William has.... is Ethan a strong enough man to confront the brothers and his best friend and fight for his true love?

We are the eyes and ears of this tale. We see the set up and then experience all the highs and lows with all of the characters. It is set in the affluent world of business with private planes, multi-million dollar deals and the demands all that can entail. The focus is Summer proving to all she has merit in the business world. Her time in Portland is positive except with her older brother Zach. He looks down on her efforts and discounts her. He is someone who is a thrill taker and is scheduled to go on a huge mountain climb in Alaska. Ethan has always gone with his friend but this time he has told Zach to listen to Summer and cancel. Zach hadn't healed fully from a leg injury and she wanted him to wait to do this climb. Unfortunately, he wouldn't listen and decided to go anyway. Words were spoken and feelings hurt. Summer leaves town and Ethan is sent to find her.

Ethan tracks her down and once he does, confronts Summer. He agrees Zach should not go...but they both know he will do what he wants... As they heatedly talk...their internal feelings for each other hits critical mass and they kiss... Both are rocked...both know this is not going to work out... He is Zach's best friend so it is the "no sister thing"... she knows her brothers have scared off anyone who has tried to have a relationship with her... so their time together is doomed... but for one night... they will defy everyone....

This story had a couple of story lines happening. We had the relationship of Summer and Ethan... we rooted for them... but it was frustrating because of a number of circumstances to prevent Ethan and Summer just declaring their relationship to the family. We also had Zach and his Executive Assistant Gabrielle. This relationship was hard for the way Zach treated her. We, as readers, knew from the beginning this was going to be the next book... it had all of the markings for it. I know it will be interesting to see how Zach redeems himself... and I do not think it will be easy.

The draw for these books is the idea of family and the cute uncle who loves to match make. He is a huge positive when he is on the page... I would really like to see more of him. We did see the other brothers and that added to the story. This had it's moments and the lessons learned were hard won.

As I said, I think Zach will have his book coming and I would be stunned if Gabrielle is not his match up by Uncle William.

Being the baby sister in a wealthy, driven, testosterone-laden family who thinks Summer is a delicate little puff of pink leaves her longing for the one man she cannot have. Ethan is like another brother/son in the Montgomery family, but to entertain ideas about Summer could prove lethal if her brothers found out. But life without risk is boring and Ethan is a thrill junkie, and, well, Summer is who he wants. Just.One.Night. She will be out of his system and her family will never know. Sure, and pigs fly. Their budding romance must stay a secret with the help of Summer’s best friend, her brother’s personal assistant and her personal “Cupid.”

When a tragic accident puts one branch of the family business in jeopardy, while the “boys” posture and strut coming up with ways to “handle” the situation, Summer outwits them all and saves the day, even after being laughed at for even suggesting her idea. But even Ethan, who she trusted with her heart laughed. Can she forgive him? Is Ethan the man she has always dreamed of or will he cower under the scrutiny of her family? Does she really need a man to be her knight in shining armor or has she found her inner woman and finally let her roar?

Light and fluffy, low on angst, high humor and romance, Meant for You by Samantha Chase makes the perfect summer read, all year round! Ms. Chase has created a fun read with just enough over-the-top caveman attitude to get under your skin while dishing up just enough romance to make you sigh.

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca via Netgalley for the free review copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

Did I like this book?

I was hoping that this book would give me a title to add to my "wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am" shelf, you know, something light and fun, with some swoons thrown into the mix. While I did get that to some extent, I ended up quite disappointed overall.

"Meant for You" starts out quickly, with the main couple admitting their attraction quite early on, but the following three quarters of the book seemed to really drag. Summer and Ethan are okay characters, but the constant back and forth between them drove me near to tears. It was obvious from the get go that they cared about each other, but the continual hiding of their undefined relationship simply dragged on far too long.

I also really disliked Summer's family. I think the men of the family are supposed to be these take charge, alpha types, and while I suppose some people will find these types attractive, to me they were much too bossy and domineering. The way they dictated to Summer really pissed me off!

The setting could have been a real draw for this book, but I don't feel like it was emphasized enough - the potential of the Alaskan wilderness was never realized, with boring conversations at the hospital and hotel overshadowing what could have been some real action and adventure. I've been to Alaska before, and it's absolutely beautiful, but I never once felt like I was escaping there through reading this book, and that was such a wasted opportunity!

Will you like this book?

I suppose if you're already a fan of this series or author, you might enjoy "Meant For You". Otherwise, I'd say steer clear. There are better contemporary romances out there.

Will I read more by this author?

At this point, I'd have to say no. This particular series revolves around the Montgomery family, and considering I didn't like any of them from the glimpses I caught in this book, I have no desire to go back and read the other titles.

Meant for You is the fifth installment in Samantha Chase’s Montgomery Brothers series. In this outing, William Montgomery is still matchmaking and his free spirited niece Summer is his latest project. He convinces his brother (and Summer’s father) to send Summer to the Portland office to work with her brother Zach in the hopes that her longtime crush on Zach’s best friend (and company VP) Ethan Reed will lead to love.

Summer has been trying to find her niche for quite some time and the rest of her family views her as flighty. The family does not take her seriously and when she begins working with Zach, he does not give her any worthwhile projects. Nonetheless, she shines as she works in the various departments and she is well liked by the other employees. Summer and Zach have been quarreling over his next thrill seeking adventure and to keep the peace, Summer takes off for a weekend retreat. Her overprotective brother asks Ethan to make sure she is ok and Summer seizes the opportunity to act on her attraction to Ethan.

Ethan is a great guy but because of his loyalty to Zach and the Montgomery family, he has decided to ignore his interest in Summer. He is laidback, easygoing and not eager to rock the boat but when Summer makes the first move, he finds it impossible to resist her. After their one night of passion, the two go their separate ways, but when they unexpectedly run into one another while playing tourist, a push from Zack’s assistant and Summer’s friend Gabriella Martine is just what they need to spend some quality time together. Away from the prying eyes of Montgomery clan, Ethan and Summer enjoy getting to know one another while indulging their desire. Both are aware of the potential problems awaiting their relationship when they return to their regular life, but they decide to live in the moment. Unfortunately, the real world intrudes when a crisis brings the Montgomery family together and the couple decides to keep their romance a secret.

The relationship between Summer and Ethan is sweet and there is no denying they share a real connection. But as soon as they are reunited with the rest of Montgomery family, trouble begins. Neither is willing to come clean about their romance and they are forced to sneak around to see one another (which is completely ridiculous considering both of them are adults). Summer’s brothers are overprotective to the point they are insulting to both her and Ethan. The family’s reaction to Summer and Ethan’s relationship is incomprehensible considering that he has been treated like a family member for twenty years.

But what is the most astounding is the patronizing and disrespectful attitude that the Montgomery family displays toward Summer. They unfairly blame her for another family member’s decision and they treat her like a child. She is forced to prove herself over and over again and despite her efforts, they refuse to take her seriously. The utter disregard for her feelings and complete lack of faith in her professional abilities is appalling and absolutely infuriating. This part of the storyline is incredibly frustrating and completely unforgivable despite the story arc's resolution.

Despite a few issues with the rest of the family, Meant for You is a lovely romance and a nice addition to The Montgomery Brothers series. Fans will enjoy seeing Summer find her happily ever after and Samantha Chase’s intriguing glimpses of Zach will leave readers impatiently awaiting his story.

This is a wonderful love story about Ethan and Summer. Summer grew up with four alpha male older brothers, overprotective older brothers. Need I say more? Summer has been trying to figure out what she really wants to do with her life as far as her career. Her father and uncle send her to the Portland office to learn more about the business. Ethan works for the Montgomery Corporation with his best friend Zack Montgomery, Summer's older brother. Both men are a bit of adrenaline junkies.
Zack and Ethan are planning a mountain climbing trip and extreme mountain climbing trip one that Zach is not physically up to due to breaking his leg earlier in the year. Summer has been trying to talk both men out of going on this trip because she has reservations about whether Zack can handle the climb. She succeeds in talking Ethan out of going; however, her brother Zack, headstrong as he is, refuses to cancel the trip and goes. Unfortunately, Summers reservations about something bad happening, come true, there's an accident on the trip and Zack is severely hurt. Summer's father blames her for not talking Zack out of the trip summer blames herself as well. Ethan steps in and defends Summer and tell her father it is not her fault, he couldn't talk Zack out of going either.
Her family and Ethan have little faith in her as far as the business is concerned and when a problem comes up between a major client and the Montgomery corporation Summer offers to step in and meet with the client. Zach and Ethan both laugh at her suggestion, hurting summer.

I am not going to go any further into the story and give anything more away but it is a great story if you like contemporary romance novels this one is for you.

I want to thank that galley for the ARC of this book. It has a no way influenced my opinion of this book, I loved it thank you great job Ms. Chase all the characters were well-developed the scenery outstanding, again great job!

This book was a fun, entertaining and steamy read. I enjoyed seeing Summer and Ethan acknowledge their feelings and open their hearts to each other.

I loved it when Ethan and Summer were together they were happy and it was nice seeing them interact with no one around them, "his arousal was snug against her bottom and she purred with delight. "You're insatiable," he murmured against her throat and then began to kiss her there." Ethan is quite the character he's more at ease, and himself when he's around Summer, "focus, woman! You wore me out and now I need protein or something to get me through the night." At times I was more interested in Zach and Gabriella so I'm really looking forward to their story.

William Montgomery is at it again matchmaking for his family. This time it’s his niece Summer in his sights and family friend and Vice President of Montgomerys, Ethan Reed. The sparks definitely fly between them especially when Ethan realizes she’s all grown up and not a little girl anymore. There was chemistry and between the sheets hot moments but it was all kept a secret since the Montgomery family never approved of any of Summer’s boyfriends in the past. Watching them sneak around and she be his dirty little secret wasn’t fun to watch especially since neither one would let the other know if there were real feelings between them or if this was more of a vacation fling. They never seemed to be on the same page about whether they should let the family know they were dating especially once they found out her brother Zach and his climbing team were stranded on a mountaintop with potentially severe injuries and couldn’t be reached by rescuers until a weather front passed. Seeing the family come together to wait for news and how they each handled it was interesting especially since Summer was considered the flighty one. Seeing her get in the others faces but still not always be taken seriously was heartbreaking. Gabriella, Zach’s executive assistant, who was also there, was behind the scenes calm but still showed her moments of weakness and concern. It was nice to see how she and Summer had bonded even though they only knew each other a short time and each was the friend that the other needed.

There were family and friends, reminisces, sorrow, fear, anger, hurt, disbelief, laughter, tears, heartache, lots of loving, romance and love. The book takes place in North Carolina, Oregon and Alaska and the descriptions were vivid and made me feel that I was there. Once again, Chase set the stage of what was to come with the prologue and gave nice closure with the epilogue. I for one hope there are more books in the series since there are more Montgomery cousins that William needs to find mates for!

Chase is a fairly new to me author since I’ve only read books three, four and five in the series along with a novella between books three and four. I will read books one and two in the series, Wait for Me and Trust in Me to see how William got started on his matchmaking for two of his own sons. I also look forward to reading other books that she has written. Her books will definitely be added to my always growing TBR pile!

Favorite Quote: But somehow, the image of a teenage Summer and the woman she had grown into brought to mind two very different kinds of knots. Back then, it was a fleeting feeling – more of a whimsical wish. Now? He was drawn to her as a man, with all the feelings that went with it. If it weren’t for his friendship with Zach and his closeness to the entire Montgomery family, Ethan would have acted on his feelings for Summer as soon as she became an adult.

He was too loyal.

He was too afraid to rock the boat.

He was totally screwed.

Oh how I love the Montgomery’s and I Especially lived Ethan and Summer together!

Being the youngest Montgomery and the only girl in the Family is No Fun. No one takes you seriously and no matter what you do - they always see you as the baby or the family. Summer Montgomery may not have taken the panther her brother’s and father thought was the best for her life but working with her brother Zack and trying to test her toes in the waters of the family business has not been the easiest cake walk for her. First off her brother Zack seems to have no faith in her at all when it comes to what she can and can’t do and then there’s the temptation of Ethan Reed.

Ethan is her brother Zack’s best friend and the object of her crush since... FOREVER. Ethan has always loved Summer, even if she is 6 years younger. He would love to be able to date her but he knows the father of the Montgomery Brother’s and doesn’t know if it would be worth it - Until Summer makes a move and Ethan forgets... all his worries.

Summer is everything he always wanted but the two keep their relationship a secret - especially after an accident brings the whole family to their doorstep.

I loved Ethan and Summer. They were perfect together. Summer is sassy and spunky and just what Ethan needs.

Summer is my favorite Montgomery

The previous books had mentioned Summer but as very flighty and just in passing...this book, her story, will completely change that perception of her! She rocks! I love how her journey leads her to standing up for herself in love and with family. I was not the biggest fan of Ethan for much of this story, but by the end I appreciate the journey he went on to become who thought he should be...and how he concludes their story for this book is pretty
Sweet🙌🏻😻

This story also builds more on the differences between William and Robert, but also shows Robert starting to think about how his children feel about him. Williams persona is fantastic and I love how with each book it develops even further. SC has created another family and series that is full of dynamic personalities that come together as a full and loving family, but also relatable bc nothing is perfect and everyone has their own concerns, struggles, triumphs and emotions. Fantastic read and I love their story!

William Montgomery sets another one of his matchmaking plans in motion when he suggests that his niece Summer relocate to the company's Portland, Oregon office. Summer's father, Robert is not too thrilled with the idea at first but agrees to let his daughter learn more about the family business. Meant For You is the fifth book in Samantha Chase's Montgomery series. It's a delightful, well crafted, character driven romance. I fell in love with the four main characters: Summer, her brother Zach, Zach's best friend Ethan and Gabriella, Zach's assistant in the first chapter.

The Portland office of Montgomery Enterprises is in turmoil. Company president Zach Montgomery is about to leave on a mountain climbing trip when he learns that his sister Summer has left Portland for a weekend getaway. Both Ethan and Gabriella remind Zach that he and Summer have been arguing non -stop about business and whether or not Zach should go on the mountain climbing trip. Zach, who refers to Summer as a "corporate Barbie", assumes the worst and suggests to Ethan and Gabriella that flighty Summer has gone away for the weekend with a boyfriend. Ethan offers to find Summer while Zach gets ready for his trip. Ethan locates Summer at a rustic retreat and discovers that her date is actually her puppy, a three month old pug named Maylene.

Ethan realizes the depth of his feelings for Summer. He realizes that he has kept his feelings for Summer to himself for fear of not being good enough for her or her over protective family. Ethan decides not to go on the climbing trip with Zach and chooses to spend time in Alaska to sort through his feelings. Summer and Gabriella decide to vacation in Alaska as well. I wondered if Gabriella was working on William's matching team as the three of them end up staying at the same resort. Gabriella encourages Summer to take a chance and explore her feelings towards Ethan.

Each one of the characters is appealing and I loved that the author had four strong lead characters in the book. The focus was on Summer and Ethan but each of the characters were well developed and played an important role in the story. I adored the character of Summer Montgomery. She is a warm friendly person who observes people and gets to know them on a personal level. This is an asset in a corporate environment which her older brother Zach chooses to ignore. Summer has many strengths and is trying to prove herself and find her place in the Montgomery family and in the family business. Zach is an independent risk taker who is used to being in charge. He dismisses Summer and her suggestions because she doesn't agree with him. Ethan is struggling to figure out who he is. Is he independent, a risk taker or just Zach's friend and follower? Gabriella is a fabulous character. She is smart, organized and a loyal friend.

Both the characters and the storylines in Meant For You held my interest. I read the book in two afternoons. The story was well paced, contained great dialogue and the romance was well written. I enjoyed the story, especially the ending where Summer surprised every male Montgomery! Yay!

My Thoughts:

Meant for You by Samantha Chase was a slow read for me. Initially, I was really excited to read it, because I enjoy the whole friend falling in love with his best friend's younger sister trope. Not to mention, that the summary sounded interesting and I liked the book cover as well.

However, I was disappointed with this story. The main reason being that I had a huge difficulty when it came to caring about and connecting with the main characters, Summer and Ethan. I really wanted to love this story, but I just didn't buy into the love and passion between Summer and Ethan. I need to feel the emotion in a romance in order to be drawn in, and care about what happens to the main characters. I didn't get the case of the "feels" like I wanted.

Supposedly, Ethan has had feelings for Summer for a long time, but not acted on them. In the story, his character came across as cowardly and whinny. He's always thinking about how much he wants to be with Summer, but doesn't do anything to prove it until the very end of the story. Summer is the one initiating the relationship, while he enjoys it behind closed doors, because he is too scared of what her family will think. He came across as not having a backbone, and I wanted him to make more of an effort.

Also, the secondary male character's, Summer's father and brothers didn't take her seriously, because she was a female. They constantly belittled her previous job choices, didn't respect her opinions, were overbearing, and acted like she was a child. For the most part Summer allowed this treatment, even though she was frustrated by it. Unfortunately, I was bored by the story for the most part.

My favorite aspects of the story were Summer's Uncle William, because he was a mastermind matchmaker. I found his character enjoyable and entertaining, although he played a very small part in the story. I also enjoyed, secondary character, Gabriella. She was strong, independent, intelligent, loyal.

My Rating:

I give, Meant for You, by Samantha Chase, 2.5 Falling In Love With Her Brother's Best Friend Filled Stars!

This book was not for me, whatsoever, and I won't be making further entry into this series.

The first basic problem to note is that it was terrifically dull. I dozed off three times before I'd hit page 20. The characters are having sex every few pages, but it always fades to black, leaving the book feeling choppy and repetitive. Even worse, the book spends several chapters dwelling on the rescue and recovery of a character I loathed, so it felt like a waste of time.

Worse, though, was that this book is unmitigated sexist, misogynistic BS packaged for sale to women, which... WHY?

With the exception of 1 (maybe 2) male characters, everyone in this book is an offensive dick who clearly thinks of women walking, talking, annoying, brainless vaginas - presumably talking, though they never bother listening to them.

Not pleasant.

I find the foul and, frankly, perverted obsession that these brothers have with their grown sister's sexuality disgusting, and the interference of alphole bros in their sister's sex lives remains one of my least favourite tropes in romance.

If the heroine wasn't such an infant in this book, she'd cut ties with everyone in this book (with the possible exception of her uncle and Gabby), and the "HEA" would be her making a new life, free, elsewhere.

I am leaving this book DNF at page 280 or thereabouts, shortly after the non-entity "hero" declares his love for the heroine to her male relatives (keepers, really) before even discussing it with her, as if they are transferring a deed or title to a possession or land claim, rather than establishing healthy and rewarding relationships. Gross.

I have another novel from this series out from the library, but it will go back unread. Return to You, the book for brother James, has no appeal for me. I will not waste another moment on this family or its series.

These are the romances that really make me love reading. They are simple and follow a pattern. Some might even accuse them of being predictable and boring, but they are the perfect read for a lazy weekend. The kind of book I like to pick up when I need to escape from the real world but am not really looking for a story that will stir up too much emotion in me.
I kind of adored Ethan, even though I wanted to shake some sense in him when it came to his fear of the Montgomery brothers and their view on his feelings for Summer. Buck up dude and don't let your friends bully you out of happiness!!
Speaking of the Montgomery brothers, what's up with them and their old school need to protect Summer from any and all men, all the while treating her like a preteen who doesn't know any better. It seems to me, they aren't exactly in a position to preach about acting responsible, particularly Zach. I think the only person who pissed me off more than Zach was Robert. Even when he realized the error of his ways, he didn't exactly come across as redeemable. I could probably write a page long review of the Montgomery brothers and their misguided male chauvinistic ways yet, somehow, I still love each and every one of them. As a matter of fact, as much as I enjoyed the relationship between Summer and Ethan, I found myself more intrigued by the relationship between Zach and Gabriella. Hopefully we'll be meeting them in the next book. :)

I absolutely Love this series! I really enjoyed reading Meant for You, Samantha Chase is the best! This book is about Summer Montgomery all she wants is to be taken seriously by her family!! Also, as much as she wants that she wants her brother's best friend, Ethan. Summer Montgomery has a reputation from going to one job to other so Her Uncle William Montgomery (AKA Matchmaker) see that she want to show her family she can be good for the business so he sending her to the Portland location to learn about the business from her older brother Zach, he knows she will get close with his VP and best friend Ethan.
Ethan Reed has hided his love for his best friend Zach’s little sister Summer Montgomery for a long time! He doesn't wait to risk his friendship with Zach.. Zach is not happy with have his little sister in Portland all they do is fight so when Summer takes off Zach sends Ethan after her! Well let just say a lot happens in a night away from prying eyes Ethan and Summer have a night together!! Read this book to see What happens after that NIGHT!!!

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads

Samantha Chase's Montgomery Brothers series takes a slight turn here, as finally it is a sister that gets to benefit from William Montgomery's matchmaking ways. He is on a roll after succeeding with his three recalcitrant sons, and two nephews. But Summer's biggest problem is one of her own brothers, who plays the best friend can't have sister card, much to William's dismay.

Of course, we get to watch the whole romance being set up, get blown away and then set back on course. The journey is fun, passionate and frustrating, and there is definite foreshadowing of the next Montomery to fall under the spell! I liked watching Summer's character grow and develop as she was converted from flighty to feisty, and the difference that some support made to her success.

Looking forward to Zach getting his wings clipped!

Loved it. Meant for You-#5
Summer Montgomery might not know what she wants, but she's tired of her family not giving her a chance. Her brother Zack is the worst. She is trying to stop him from a big climb. The best thing for her to do is just leave. The last person she expects to see is Ethan Reed, Zack's best friend. He's climbing with Zack, but for some reason he followed her. He explains that Zack was worried about her. She doesn't think so. She has always had a thing for Ethan. It won't happen since her family won't let any man get close to her. At the springs something happens unexpectedly.

Ethan Reed is nervous after being with Summer one time. He works for her father. Zack is his best friend. He'll be killed after they find out.

An unfortunate accident arises and everyone is besides them self. Now Ethan knows he has to hide his feelings for Summer, and can't let anyone know how much she means to him. Once it's out of the bag well it can go either way. What will happen between them? One person in the Montgomery clan surprises Ethan.

Highly Recommend this book, and the ones before. What an amazing series.

The Beautiful and eclectic Summer Montgomery is the only girl in her family. She has three older brothers, who needless to say are very protective of her. No guy is ever good enough for her. Summer has had a huge crush on her brother Zach's best friend Ethan since she was little. So when the opportunity presents itself she makes a move for Ethan and shows him how she feels about him.
Ethan is an only child and has known the Montgomery family since he was a kid. He is also the Vice President of their Portland office. He has had feelings for Summer for a long time, but was unaware of her feelings for him. Not that he intended to act on those feelings because her family would not be happy with him.
So Once Summer makes her move on Ethan they have to decide if it should be a one time thing or if it was something worth fighting for.
This book is so sweet. I loved the characters and the story line. It is also a great intro to the main characters for the next book I'll Be There.

I love Summer Montgomery and Ethan Reed. Summer is probably my favorite Montgomery. Summer Montgomery is this independent woman who is trying to break free from her male dominated Montgomery influences. All her brothers want to do is protect her while all she wants is the freedom to explore and make mistakes on her own. She takes off one day after an argument with Zach about his reckless plans and her brother Zach sends his best friend Ethan after her to make sure she is safe while Zach of course goes off on his own thing. Ethan has loved Summer for a while now, but does not want to ruin his friendship so he keeps her at a distance. Summer has other ideas and starts breaking down his defenses one by one. This is a courtship you do not want to miss. Want to know how Ethan handles Summer? or rather how Summer handles Ethan? This is a great book filled with humor, and is a good summer read!

Disappointed.

I began this book with high hopes. It didn't take long before my primary feeling was disappointment. I felt the heroines family was unbelievably cruel to her most of the time and she was so beaten down she accepted and expected this treatment. My impression of the hero is that he was weak willed, dismissive of the heroines abilities and indecisive. I wanted the heroine to get a backbone and the hero to grow a pair. (I know that's crude) Frankly, my idea of an HEA for this story would be for the heroine to ride off into the sunset without her family AND the hero. Nothing on earth would tempt me to read the next book in this series. I believe the next one is about the heroines older brother, whom we met in this book, and he is characterized as a nasty, nasty man.

A great story that is not only a wonderful romance between Summer and Ethan but also a story of family and all the joy and anguish that brings. Summer Montgomery has always seemed a bit flightly but really she's just been trying to find her own way in a very male dominated family. Not always the easiest thing to do. Ethan has always known there is more to Summer than her family gave her credit for and although he was wildly attracted to her he's never acted on it for fear of losing the friendship he has with her older brother. Until now.....

Definitely a book I recommend.

The plot was okay but I legit HATE her family. They are chauvinists and treat their only sister like crap. I was actually angry as I finished the book.

Samantha Chase Meant For You is one of my favorite friends to lovers romances. The Montgomerys are rich and powerful but also super protective of little sister Summer. Her lifelong crush is Ethan Reed, best friend of her brother Zach. When circumstances throw these two together their attraction is discovered to be a mutual one SQUEEE!! I loved them together! I also wanted to throat punch Ethan for making Summer feel his dirty secret afraid to acknowledge to her brothers and father.

A devastating accident brings the family together in Alaska and soon Summer and Ethan's romance is discovered by Summer's brother James. Well his reaction in a nut shell is why Ethan knew he couldn't ever act on his attraction to Summer and why they couldn't find out about them.

Summer has had enough of being coddled, seen as less than and never taken serious. If Ethan doesn't want to stand up for her then she will do it herself, with the help of fierce Gabriella!

Loved the turn of events and how it all worked out. Summer was a strong female who deserved someone to fight for and for others to see her as smart and very much a force to be reckoned with in the Montgomery business.

NOW- while most will see Zach as a JERK- ok he was- I am so intrigued by his behavior and what has led him to be the way he is. I cannot wait for his book. I cannot wait to see how Gabriella puts him in his place! : )

Nice story. It has a bit of a grandpa (uncle, actually) matchmaker in it, but mostly he just arranges to put the couple in each other's vicinity. The hero is a family friend who's gone to work with the heroine's brother, and the matchmaking uncle got her sent out to work with them. The story opens with the hero and the brother getting ready to head off on a climbing expedition in Alaska, but the heroine can't be found. She's been arguing with her brother about the trip because the leg he broke skydiving last year still isn't quite healed. The hero goes off to talk with her, talks about taking risks in life, so she kisses him, acting on the crush she's had on him for years. And since he's been crushing on her since she came to work with them, it sparks things right up. And that kicks the story off nicely. There's angst involved in her massive mostly masculine family, there's a disaster to deal with, and it's a good story. I liked it.

Warm, gorgeous love story

Ethan and Summer have over each other for ever, through childhood crushes, sneaky longing looks when the other wasn't aware. Ethan out of respect for her brothers, his best friend her older brother, didn't make a move. Summer grew up into an amazing independent woman, Ethan could no longer resist. A change of heart about a climb with her brother brings an opportunity to get to know Summer and Ethan falls deeper in love. Summer couldnt remember not loving Ethan, but spending time with him while her brother made the climb, hiding their attraction and new relationship from her family when her brother was hurt, the emotion and a chance to prove herself with a client lead to a lot of people recognising what Ethan already knew. Will they, won't they, gotta read it you love it!! These Montgomery's fall hard, and it's a joy to read

Out of tragedy comes love. Summer had always had a crush on Ethan, her brothers best friend. But when tragedy strikes and Zach is injured sparks fly between Summer and Ethan. Will Summer's family get in their way? Will The two end their relationship in order to save face with her family? This was a heart wrenching tale of finding love at the worst time. The characters were so honest you could feel their joy as well as their happiness. Samantha Chase has a way of bringing out the best in family drama with every story. This is one story I highly recommend and cannot wait to read more in this series.
