When veterinarian, Dr. Carly Tipton, takes a new job in the tiny farming community of Lunar Falls, she expects to build a new life for herself. She expects to meet new people and have new experiences. Maybe she’s even expecting a little adventure. But what she’s not expecting is to fall head over heels in love - not with the town, and certainly not with its ruggedly sexy ...more

I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.
This book shocked me and amazed me all at the same time. We start off with a Carly, who is the new veterinarian in the tiny little town called, Lunar Falls. There she encounters a little more adventure than she wad looking for when she left her home town. Carly discovers some of the Lunar Falls secrets along with some of her own that she didn't know existed.

Gabe is the towns, hot, sexy Sheriff. Who happens to

This is my favorite Lashell Collins title to date. This book was a risk for the author (although that’s not apparent in this novel for even a split second). Somehow Collins writes as though she’s been writing paranormal for her entire career. Funny enough, though, one look at her backlist will prove that paranormal is far outside the realm of anything she’s ever written. Yet here she is—pushing the limits, discovering new and hidden talents, and proving once again that there’s really no ...more

WOW! ... The talented Ms. Collins is such a gifted storyteller & delivers an exciting, must read new work, once again!! ... In the past, I have mainly read fiction, always contemporary romance & suspense, so I’m guessing this is considered either paranormal or urban fantasy? ... But, thanks to this captivating book, I am now a fan of werewolves/shape-shifters ; ) ...

This entertaining, unique storyline stretches the imagination with both villains & likable characters that are well

An excellent book all on its own, however it is only book one and I WILL read the rest of the series. Ms Collins is an skilled writer, keeping the attention of the reader as she weaves a story of love, loyalty, deception and secrets.

Carly took the job of a lifetime, moving to Lunar Falls to join an established Veterinary practice. She had no plans to fall for the sexy sheriff and all the secrets he held. However, Gabe's plans didn't include her for many reasons and they both were in for the

Awesome Take on Shifters!

This story is another take on the mysteries surrounding werewolfs. I enjoyed this 1st book of the series, very riveting and enthralling.

There is much bias in the world of were's as Carly soon learns. It is not only between ethnic people, but it certainly is very real in this world she never even imagined existed before moving to Lunar Falls and falling in love with Gabe. Sheriff and Grand Alpha of The Moon Hunters he teaches Carly things that she would otherwise think

What a story! I have never read anything by Lashell Collins before and this was a great way to get to know her work. (Though she typically writes straight romance from what I see, you could not tell that this was her first foray into the paranormal world.)

I wish I lived in Lunar Falls, just from the descriptiveness in the book. It sounds like this beautiful magical place, a place where you can take off on a hiking trail and just be one with nature. I just recently discovered that I enjoy hiking

This book Starts out with Vet Carly Moving to Lunar Falls. She instantly falls in love with this little beautiful town! Every where she explores the more she falls in love with it. Even with the rumors of Werewolves and a sucide that happened at her new home.
One day at the dinner she sense a someone that sends chills and tingles throughout her body. She turns around and see's a gorgeous Sheriff staring right at her. Then she gets up to leave and trips and he catches her. From that moment on Her
There was something about the golden glow to the moon that intrigued me about this cover. Then I read the blurb and my interest was piqued. A town called Lunar Falls and we have shifters, an alpha and a pack? I immediately went with wolves. And I was correct. But they don't label themselves werewolves, they are are Moon Hunters. Hiding in plain sight in a town that celebrates it's "werewolf" heritage.

Right from the beginning I was sucked into the story. Carly is a vet who has recently moved to

My favorite type of character is found in this book. The hot, sexy, alpha male, who just happens to be a shape shifter. YUM! I can never get enough of this type of story. Lashell Collins hits the nail right on the head.

While Carly comes to town clueless, it is quickly given away that Gabe is not just the sheriff of Lunar Falls, he is so much more. He is a strong, protective, and sexy male; who is also the head of his pack and the 5 other packs in the area. I loved how he knew before he saw her

APB Perspective Review :

These books are so good , I thoroughly enjoyed reading them . This author puts a fresh spin on the Werewolf tale but it's not what you think. I first thought there would be a problem between the white Alpha and his black mate but that's not the case is these books . The dilemma is about being mixed or full blood ware , it's about fighting for what you know is right even when others try to make you do something wrong. It's about a love so sweet a passionate that you

Carly is a vet who moves to a small town to get out on her own. Once she arrives inLunar falls she feels an automatic ones of home and belonging. In a diner she's bumps not he sheriff and feels an instant attraction.

Sheriff Gabriel Masters feels Carly before she arrives at Mother's diner. She is his. He knows it and feels it. But she's human and he really doesnt need that distraction right now.

As they run into each other more and more in the small town their attraction only grows and Gabe

3.5 stars.

So, this book was a real surprise!

We have, of course, some cliches - that are almost mandatory for any good "imprinting-werewolf-romance" novel: there is the love at first sight; the reluctance; that silent urge to be with each other.

And, of course, the family drama. Now, this is the part where things get interesting.

Lashell Collins constructed the Moon Hunters (as shifters in Lunas Falls call themselves) society as a group where marriage is more than happily ever after or political

So I first learned about this book from a weekend blog hop that myself and Ms. Collins both participate in. Before that I'd not read any of her books, but the snippets she provided during the blog hop caught my interest. So much so that I broke my rule of not reading a series until all the books were out because I hate HATE having to wait to find out what will happen next.

I'm glad I didn't wait! I enjoyed this story immensely. The chemistry between Gabe and Carly was sizzling. Nothing better

I have been reading way more than my share of werewolf, and shifter books lately, and for the most part, they have all been well written. This book is no exception, not that I needed another series to start reading, but really plan on it after reading this book!

Carly is a veterinarian that has moved from her home, across Ohio, to work for a small practice in Lunar Falls. She brings her wolf-dog hybrid, and moves into a small, charming cottage. It’s not long before she hears about the woman that

This was a most intriguing story the characters are well developed you feel that you know them. Dr. Carly Tipton has just come to town and setup shop as a Veterinarian in a small family business and she has just bought a beautiful house and she has met some nice people the nicest and hottest would be the Sheriff Moon Hunter Grand Alpha Gabe Masters is one big handsome man and he and Carly seem to be meant for each other as soon as she falls into his arms. I give this 5 stars. Gabe and Carly's story is full of mystery, betrayal, grief, love, secrets and of course some pretty hot sex. Carly is the new vet in town, Gabe is the sheriff of Lunar Falls and he is the GrandAlpha of the five were packs in the state. The pack law of mating only pure bloods, is creating trouble for Gabe's packs. He along with others in the packs are being pressured into arranged couplings with mates that they did not choose. Carly has come to Lunar Falls to set out on her ...more

This is the story of Gabe and Carly. Carly is the new vet in town and Gabe is the sheriff. Gabe also happens to be the Grand Alpha of the five were packs in the state. The chemistry between Gabe and Carly is off the charts right from the beginning. But she's human and he's a shifter. Which of course leads to a boat load of troubles. This book has it all hot steamy sex, a mystery, emotional angst, irrational behavior, betrayal and love. It's a good first book to a series and yes there is a ...more

I have mixed feelings about this book.

Carly is a vet and she takes the position at the veterinarian clinic in Lunar Falls. Most of the book is back story bringing the reader up-to-date on how Carly arrived at Lunar Falls, meeting Gabe and becoming mated to him. Gabe is the GrandAlpha of the 5 packs in Ohio and the Packmaster to the Lunar Falls pack. The book ends where is essentially began finding the dead body and discovering what happened.

I'll start the next one and see what I think then.

Perfect Title

This was an interesting story of the Town of Lunar Falls, with a title that is perfect as well. With the cast of characters in this book and all the hidden secrets, this is looking to be a great series. Carly moved to town for a new job but is discovering more things about her family as well as the towns secrets. Gabe has just discovered his mate in Carly and has to find a way to keep her safe and keep his position as GrandAlpha. Highly recommended book if you like shifters.

Secrets of Lunar Falls

As I stared this book I had never read any of Lashell Collins books but I am so glad I decided to try it .She is a very good writer and brings things around beautifully. Her characters are a well rounded group and as you read on you see a different kind of shifter story. If you like paranormal and would like something a little different I am sure you will enjoy this book.

Superbly written, what a fascinating story. A no holds bar story of very believable characters, keeping you interested until the last page and wanting more. Gabe and Cally are such realistic characters, the author makes this book so believable they seem real.
Can't wait to continue reading the rest of the series.

What a riveting story. It kept you hooked from the start. Who is she and why does she feel such a pull here? And the sheriff, why does she know when he is near? Jealousy and racial tensions make up most of this story. And it is very good.
