Atmospheric Harlequin Intrigue with heroine Cora Shelly hiding at Midnight Castle, where she has been employed as chef (on Midnight Island) from a murderer before she has to testify against the sadistic killer. She becomes attracted to her employer’s stepson, Jake Mackenzie, who has some secrets of his own. But what will happen when the killer escapes before his trial and goes in search of Cora? A fun, suspenseful story with a sweet heroine, a brooding hero, and a ghost haunting Midnight Castle.
