Now first off I'm not a prolific review writer. However, as the author provided me with a copy I'll do a review. Despite the author's wish for an honest review this is actually one of the books I feel like doing a review on. I loved reading the Rift Rider. The surfer angle interested me a great deal. It's not something I've come across before. I loved how Mark wrote the book so that the protagonist was in an element which he found strange. If I remember correctly this is the first book in the se ...more

Fun and Imaginative

I picked up this book on a whim a few years ago. It sounded interesting. It sat in my to-read list all this time. Now that I have read it I wished I had not waited this long. This is an adventurous story that was a joy to read. Pick it up if it sounds interesting to you too. I don’t think you will be disappointed. It was a wild ride.

Note: This book has some adult themes so if that bothers you then avoid it.

Shelves: royally-favored
This copy of the work was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Usually, I would start off with what I like about a book. This is one of those few times where I am going to do it in reverse.

Wipeout (The Cons)

Cover concept
Although the elements of the story are on the cover, the visual isn’t exactly eye catching. Plus, it gives off the ambiance that this is tailored towards children when really the material is more adult than anything. I don’t have anything against abstract cover

Never quite lived up to the prologue.

There were several instances of misspellings, and I'm not talking about the British vs American English variations.

The main character's life in chapters 1 and 2 was a bit cliché.

The otherworldly elements, and hard sci-fi aspects of the story reeled me in.

All in all, I enjoyed it.

Exciting, funny and sexy. Spicy sci-fi not only for the wave chasers. A whirlpool of curious characters, accompanied by a load of adventures and saucy details sure takes one on an enjoyable humor infused ride. The harem scenes are priceless.
