Hiding From Laughter

Rate this book
I should’ve never crafted drunk.

Ashton knew being too honest when putting ideas into their jar of fantasies would come back to bite him at some point, and unfortunately he’s finally reached that point. So…now what? How is he supposed to explain his slightly curious fantasies when he isn’t sure where to start?

Maybe he just needs better ways to avoid the conversation completely?

Micha knows his not-so-subtle partner is hiding something…probably something ridiculous, knowing Ashton…but he’s got to decide how long he’s willing to let the insanity continue. Eventually, Ashton has to say what’s on his mind, right?

When crafting leads to nervous confessions and laughter, tickling won’t be the only thing that brings them closer together than ever before.

Author’s This was originally in the Naughty November 2024 anthology under the Shaw side of things, but it’s been expanded and has been moved over to the MA Innes side. Ashton is curious about a lot of things, but Hiding From Laughter explores tickling that leads to a loss of bladder control and the little side he’s doing his best to ignore. This is a lighthearted, relationship-driven story about Ashton, who is regretting being a little too honest while crafting under the influence. His "jar of fantasies" has now led to an awkward situation where he’s struggling to explain himself—or maybe just avoid the conversation altogether. Micha, his perceptive partner, knows Ashton is hiding something amusing, and is waiting to see how long Ashton can keep up the charade before finally confessing. As their playful dynamic unfolds, their bond strengthens through laughter, teasing, and unexpected closeness.

This was a fun read and a mix of humour, nervous tension, and affectionate moments wrapped in a fun, personal discovery. Ashton was hilarious at times and Micha was careful and very thoughtful. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like D/s and DDLB dynamic.

This is a fun and kinky romance that has some really sexy scenes. Ashton is embarrassed by the things he enjoys, so it's a good thing he has a partner like Micha. These two make me laugh, but they also have some of the hottest scenes I've read from this author. It helps that they are an established couple who've already built complete trust in each other. I like the way they get frustrated but never angry, and I like that Micha pushes Ashton out of his comfort zone and into his desires. They are adorable together.
I enjoy the trip to the club, where we get to spend time with characters we already know and love. We also witness a scene between Micha and Ashton that leaves them satisfied and also curious about other kinks they should try. This romance requires a fan and a cold drink, and every bit of it is great!

I absolutely loved this story. I really enjoyed the shorter version and I was so happy to see it extended. These two were so cute and funny together and I really loved all of the cameos from this world.

I had so much fun reading this. I love that. We also got to see some familiar characters that I love. Connor is always a trip to read, but it looks like there’s a new sub that’s gonna give him a run for his money. I do hope we get to see scenes with them together.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed Ashton and Micha’s story. It’s a fun read with an established couple. Ashton is an emerging little who is an entertaining brat and Micha is his very patient Dom, Daddy, and brat wrangler. It was great reconnecting with Sawyer, Cooper, and Jackson

Fun read. Glad this story was extended.
Ashton should never drink because it leads to thing he's worried about. Micha always wants to give Ashton what he needs / wants even though Ashton is worried about it when sober. Fun read loved reading about other characters from previous books.

This was a delightful read because these two were already established as a couple. No insta-love, but no slow burn either. I loved how well they knew each other and were able to adapt to each other's needs. Micah was so encouraging and really helped Ashton become more himself.

Plenty of nego kink, coaxing & enthusiastic playful scenes. I'm not sure the non verbal aspect of being Little was easy to transcript (or completely successful) but kudos for trying to give it a try.
Taking what is "non mainstream" kinks & make them hot and relatable is hard to do.

Adorable!

I already loved Ashton and Micha in the anthology, but it was great reading more into their relationship and how they adapted to the additions of their relationship!

When drunken confessions lead to Micah getting to finally learning what he needs to from Ashton, their relationship evolves in the best of ways.

This extended version of the original story is a cute read as we get to see previous characters pop up in this story and these main characters blossom in the best of ways.
A lovely read overall.
