As the son of a senator, he keeps his nose clean, his conquest quiet, and an eye on his goals until he meets her. She makes him question all his previous choices and the many one night stands. As much as he doesn’t want it, she has the power to stain his heart the color of love.
Until... he learns something that has the power to destroy everything. And some truths are meant to stay buried.
This twisted unhappy love story will unravel two hearts that learn some secrets that tie them together may ultimately tear them apart.
This romance may seem like an average love story… but it isn’t.
Well it was going, fine. I didn't love it or hate it. It was ok and interesting, easy. And then it changed. Respecting the author's wish, i will not reveal too much but i 'll state one thing. THERE IS A TWIST. Not suited for everyone's likes.
Maybe, you 'll like it, maybe you won't. It's a very thin line between what it's right and what it's not, of course as a romantic at heart a can see some validation behind their choises, but considering the way things went i would prefer a tragic ending.
The characters are ok, with the exception of Gavin who was a complete asshole. I didn't like him at all and that's a first because i usually love the funny "best friend" of the main character and many times i find the secondary characters more fascinating, well not here.
Now about the main characters, Tade is a Commitment-phobe and Red is a sweet girl. Nothing more there. They fall in love and marry. But about the story, i will give a heads up to anyone who wants to read it.. Be prepared.
THOUGTS ABOUT THE BOOK
- Male POV, very interesting. - The prologue and the first chapter are a huge contradiction. Tade is like another person. - Many situations were too convienient for my liking. - Some mistakes, but it is an ARC. - I can not believe any girl at 2014 can be so oblivious. Who accepts drinks form a stranger in an underground boxing match?
ARC provided by the author in exchange of an honest review. Thank you!
This is a hard one to rate. I was enjoying this until the big twist...then I really wasn't liking it one bit so it's a 2.5 star to reflect the 3-4 star beginning and the 1 star ending.
I was attracted to this when I saw it was about a senator's son forced to keep his true identity secret from his classmates in a bid to protect his father's reputation. I was hoping for a forbidden/secret love story I suppose.
It started well as a typical 'commitment-phobe reforms his man-whoring ways when he meets the one' story. The pacing of their relationship was strong, they had great chemistry and the smut was sizzling hot. I was really enjoying my reading experience.
Then came the twist.
Yes it was forbidden/secret but, for me, it was too much. Just, ewww.
The writing in this was engaging and up until the twist I was engrossed although some sections were a little wordy for my liking. There were also a fair few spelling errors and incorrect words but as this was an arc, they may be fixed in the final version.
Twist aside, the pacing towards the end also seemed a little off to me. There was a lot of drama packed in but I was so horrified by the turn the story had taken, I was mainly just relieved it was nearly over.
I'm sure others will love this, it was mainly well written and engaging, but the twist made it an uncomfortable and icky read for me. Sorry.
I was given a copy of this to review by the author.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was one of those books that's kind of hard to rate and review for me. Tade as the son of a senator, he keeps his nose clean, his conquest quiet, and an eye on his goals until he meets her Reagan. This book started out kind of slow and I would have liked it if it was more erotic, with that being said I really liked this book and it kept me wanting more. Tade's Senator father has a skeleton in his closet and that skeleton came out in a big way. The book centered on two college students who met and fell in love and although neither of them talked about there families Tade because he didn't want people to know his father was a Senator, but the author didn't say why Reagan didn't talk about hers. When Reagan gets pregnant they get married without telling their parents who meet at their graduation. Coming form a big family that lives in a small town this almost happened to me with a (cousin) I went out on a date with. Anyway this was a good story the book had a few errors, but other than that this was a good story.
This book had my emotions twisted in a good way, I think. It was slow to start, but as it developed, I really enjoyed the story and chemistry between the two main characters. Until the twist happened. Then I didn't know how I felt. I knew how I was suppose to feel, but that's not what I was feeling. You'll understand more once you read the book. I enjoy a book that brings out emotions in me, that makes me feel what's going on and this book did that for me. All I can say is "the heart wants what it wants" and I'm happy the book ended as it did. Although something tells me inside that it's not right. Sorry my review is all over the place, but that's what makes a book worth reading, right????
I can't give this book zero stars, so I'm giving it one. The dialogue was ridiculous, needs proofreading, pointless plot, and the characters aren't believable. I'm not going to give away the big reveal. Although if you're smart, you'll figure it out early. I'm just going to touch on some reasons I disliked this book so much.
1) Tade's mom sets him up with sex partners. That is just weird and disgusting and in no way adds to the story, and it only adds to my disgust.
2) Slut University. I'm not sure where the author drug these skanks from, but let me start with Camille. She meets him at a party; he walks off from her twice, once to go dance with another chick. Then he walks her home, and she's all "Sex, oui?" What. The. Fuck. Then the two drunk hobags he and Gavin encounter in the park barely speak to him and proceed to say, "Let's play strip poker and forget about the poker." And then strip each other down. I. Just. Can't.
3) Tade and Raegan's "relationship." This chick is like, "no, take me out and seduce me so we can get each other out of our systems?" Why didn't she just fuck him? Why would you spend time with someone first if you want to get someone out of your system? And if you wish to get him out of your system, why are you all like you're not going to win? I'm not a one-night stand. So you're trying to trick him into a relationship???
"I'm the one girl unwilling to give you the time of day." Ummm. But you did give him the time of day. And you badgered him into taking you out with the promise of possibly having sex.
"I didn't want a girlfriend if that meant she was free to see whoever she wanted." If she were your gf, she wouldn't be seeing other people; therefore, it's not a viable reason not to want a gf, and it makes no fucking sense.
And now they're getting married cause she's pregnant. Holy monkey balls. What a responsible decision. "You're it for me." Really???? This is batshit fucking crazy. "If you don't love me now, you will in time. I will do what I have to to win you over." Okay, except what if she doesn't? Then you're trapped in a one-sided marriage with a fucking baby!!! Not to mention that, for the most part, the allure of these types of novels is this unshakeable bond between two people. Not the haphazard way these people come together and "fall in love." It's unbelievable, uninteresting, and definitely not sexy or swoony.
"You have to stop," she said, "because I'm powerless against you." When I kissed her ear, she said, "This is wrong."
I sang in her ear, "If this is wrong, I don't want to be right." So fucking cliche. And disgusting, incidentally.
Then to prove how much he loves her, we've got these texts between him and Camille. "I'm in town. Hoping to hook up." "Can't. Spending it with my fam & my girlfriend. Maybe next time." Wouldn't this be the appropriate time to say I'm with my WIFE?
Then let's take a moment to ponder his actions in the delivery room. "I rubbed my brow, unsure what to do or say. I turned to the window to see if my family heard and caught Camille's lethal expression. She stormed off, and I shook my head at Red, confused why she would say these things. Of course, I've seen shows where women were portrayed as lunatics during childbirth. Maybe there was some truth to that. I followed after Camille. Even though I didn't want a relationship with her, she did deserve the truth." So your "wife" just had your baby, and you brought one of the women you've been fucking after you separated to the birth of the baby, and when the random chick gets upset, you leave your baby mama to go after her? Sounds like true love to me.
4) Their disgusting and not even remotely erotic sex life. Dry humping on the boat????
"It didn't take long before her orgasm squirted in spurts into my mouth. Greedily, I swallowed all of it." Uh gross. I read books all the time about girls swallowing, and it's cool. Not for me, but it's kind of hot in a book. There's something about it coming from a girl that just grosses me out and therefore is not something I care to read about. Just no.
The sex scenes aren't interesting. It's like shit was just inserted because there's supposed to be sex in this book. They aren't fun or erotic, or sexy. They're just meh. And kind of gross. And did I mention not sexy????
5) The maybe baby. I cannot stand when babies are just thrown into a story like that's all we need to have a successful romance/erotica novel. Two people meet, fall in love for some mysterious reason, have an unplanned pregnancy, and bam, they're married and live happily ever after. Nu-uh. It ain't that easy, sister. And we get TWO pregnancy scares in this one because our leading lady is too fucking stupid to follow medical advice. And like one pregnancy scare wasn't enough for her to be like hmmm I really don't want a baby so let me be responsible.
Then there's this: "Are you happy?" she asked.
Great. Another question that had no good answer. "If you are." This is after he finds out she's not pregnant. So a girl that's your first real gf and that you've slept with once has told you she's not pregnant and you're happy if she is??? You want a baby with a stranger that you don't even have a stable relationship with? This kind of thinking is what got 16 & Pregnant going. Please put birth control in Pepsi/Coke. I mean.....seriously?????
6) Note to the author. Please remove notes from your book. Two separate times, the publisher's notes are left in the book, and that's just awkward.
7) Harvard.....or Cambridge. They couldn't seem to decide which college he was going to. The whole book talked about him going to Harvard, and then it seemed to be interchanged before settling on Cambridge.
"I really wanted to ask her to come to Cambridge with me." The following paragraph, "Then come with me to Harvard." Way to be consistent. What the fuck x's two. They're not even in the same fucking country!
8) Gavin And what exactly is Gavin's story? He's all like, "let's go to the lake house, and you tell me everything," and then he shows up at the end of the weekend, and we're told nothing. Pointless to the plot.
9) The ending. "Um, Oxicondin, sleeping pills, over-the-counter ibuprofen, and heart medication," she recounted by memory. A quick Google search would've shown that it's Oxycontin. And since when does anyone use ibuprofen in a suicide attempt????
And, of course, miraculously, she wakes up after they're unplugging her from the ventilator. Ugh.
I just recently read Forbidden. It touches along to the taboo subject matter that is somewhat addressed in this book. In Forbidden, the story made me sympathize with the main characters and say, why the hell not??? They've been through some shit, and they're not hurting anyone, so go on and be together. This story didn't. I was just like gross. I mean, other than they'd been together for a couple of months and gotten married and gotten pregnant like morons, they should've parted ways after the big reveal on the story twist. Nothing in this story made me think that anything about them, individually or as a couple, justified their relationship. I didn't root for them, and I wouldn't have been upset if they split up and never saw each other again. Or if she'd have actually died at the end. Actually, I think that might have been a better ending. There was no passion behind this relationship, and as a reader, I couldn't connect to the characters or keep from rolling my eyes. I almost quit reading this book at least four times. But I figured fuck it. I agreed to do an honest review, and I can't do that if I don't finish it.
In the end, I feel like I wasted a night reading a book that sucked instead of one of the 100's of books t genuinely wanted to read. This book is garbage; I'm not sure why everyone else loved it so much. I'm sorry if this offends the author, but perhaps it can help you for your next book. Better luck next time!

Wow! That went in a completely unexpected direction, and as weird as it might make me seem, I liked it! This was absolutely unique, original and unlike anything I have EVER read before, and I LOVED the writing. The story is great, it has a great pace, the characters are amazing with each of them having their own drama and problems (I want to read Penelope and Gavin's story!!)and the twist is epic! The intensity of the love between Tade and Reagan is completely off the charts from start to finish! Echo White had me going through every emotion, and believing in second chances for even the most unlikely scenarios or couples.
Having gotten an ARC there is obviously going to be spelling errors and maybe some minor changes in the final copy, but I was blown away at how well it was written and how amazingly new this story is. I honestly don't think I would change much except maybe a sequel (hint hint). I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick, good read this is a different kind of love story than you're used to reading, with some serious steam. I will be purchasing a copy when it's released and will read it more than once I'm sure! Great job on your first book Echo White, I look forward to reading more from you in the future!
~Arc kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.~
After reading "Sins of the father" I'm feeling confused. The writing was okay but sometimes it wasn't very smooth. I loved that the story was told from a male POV. I had some trouble with the plot. In the beginning I didn't know where the journey would take me... "Boy, who doesn't do relationship, falls in love with super nice girl." But after a while I liked it... but then...
I like to think that I am an open person but the plot twist shocked me! That's why I had a lot of trouble with the end. The beginning was a little bit slow and random and the end a huge shock.
I think this book should come with a big warning.
All together I liked reading this and it wasn't your normal "bad boy fell in love with good girl". But you need a strong stomach for this book.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is a great read. I was blown away and didn't see that coming! I think I went through all emotions while reading this. I can't wait to read more from this author. I really like the plot and there is so much chemistry between this young couple.
ARR #61 given by the author via GR's Fifty Shades Support Group, in exchange of honest review.
“Why do you care what my name is? You’ve never noticed me before.”
A contemporary romance. Uphigh family. Senator son. Erotic descriptive smut scene. Prosecutor-to-be sailor. British-accented American. Virgin. Driving BJ. Open-air rowboat lake sex. Breath play. Twisted situation.
Red has an attitude, self respecting. Tade also has an attitude. He is not swooned the few first time seeing Red. More to reality than a common romance novel. I love their strategy to catch each other. It certainly has a character.
LOL, this is a new way to describe cunnilingius, ".. as I probed her éclair to lick at the cream filling." This book is like walking contradiction. In a part, it amazes me of their sturdy characterization in self respect area. On the other part, it is bathed with a few here and there over-prepared romantic scene, downward to muuuch cheesy.
"It wasn’t like every guy didn’t hope that a girl he was really into hadn’t been touched. Every guy wanted to be the first and then, at the same time, didn’t want it. There was a responsibility and consequences when bedding a virgin." I dont see this one coming, is it a spoiler? I think this fact only will heighten the anticipation of a reader. A plus point. So no, i am not including this to spoiler box. Yes, i agree with Tade. I just assume she is not.
And.. the first time is something that should be a perfect example of how to write it as close to reality. I found a lot author write like this, the hero first prepare the girl by loosening her up using his finger, then when the penetration finally took place, the hymen is still intact. Well. There is no way the hymen would still intact if he fingered her to the brink, even only using one finger. Then, even if the girl already wet. It would not make the initial penetration easier, because the wet part is behind the hymen. The barier breaking would be on the dry area. So it would take several attempts, or simply once but rather forcefully. I am proud to say that this book has a defloweration scene close to reality. At least to my reality, lol, sorry TMI.
Lol, even the condom accident. How come the author could write something so realistic like this? I bet it from own experience. Yeah.. you know, sometimes, in a case that a condom already been used in an intercourse quite a long time, and u still want to go again, u should be careful of the possibility for the condom to tore. The excessive friction made the latex fragile. Better change it, than sorry. And agaaaain, soooo realistic!
I dont know.. do authors not know that there is this wonderful solution named "morning after pill"? Oh, in fact it comes up right after i wrote this. But it is funny to why the other author seems forget about this magic pills.
Hmm.. the mysterious Gavin. Will he and Penelope get their own book?
Okay, here's another cheesy bitty, “Why is it that red lip goop you wear looks like war paint on any other girl but on you it’s like forbidden fruit.”
And this one is original, “I’m in like with you, Tade.” “I’m in like with you too, Biscuit.”
Darn, the confession to the whole group when Reagen caught him up. It is the best solution possible for problem like this. Perfect! And Reagan reaction too.. mature, really. Not overdramatic like other novel usually do.
Wow! The news, didnt see that one coming.
The creativeness in sex throughout this book never failed to surprise me. The kinkyness cames out of nowhere during the most normal scene. It is a fresh breath for the story.
NO. THE TWIST. Beautifully placed, perfectly told.
“I meant my vows about “better and worse.” And I remain true to my words of loving you unconditionally. I’d rather spend an eternity in hell for loving you than to end up in heaven without you.”
Liz? Katy? Who is the real name of Reagan's mother. At first, Tade's father call her Katy.
I love the ending! How all of this wrapped up as a tragedy. And have a little to do with being a Senator son. For all i know, it could happen to a common people.
And another twist at the epilogue. I love this type of ending. Giving me both experience, the tragedy and hea. Overall, i enjoyed reading this. Despite the slow beginning, like the author said this book rellies on the element of surprise. Especially towards the end. And what a surprise it is!
I received a copy via FSSG for an unbiased and honest review.
For me this romance between Tade, the son of a US Senator that has to fly under the radar, and Red aka Biscuit aka Reagan started with real promise. Tade's in college and has left a string of one night stands in his wake, all the while being mindful that they knew the score up front so as not to harm his fathers candidacy if he runs for President in the future. I found him a likeable character, likeable, not loveable. The same went for Reagan, the girl he fell for on first sight who made him want to change to be with her. For me the story flowed well and had a plot twist (spoiler free) even though I had deduced this before it was revealed. Had the author left out the prologue I may not have worked this out and would have preferred not to. These are the reasons it lost three stars for me:
1. The whole story seemed rushed. It could have been expanded to give us a longer book to really give more detail into Tade and Reagan characters and their blossoming relationship to have me routing for them. I wasn't really bothered if they were going to have a HEA at the end of the book. I felt like we were rushed through some of their meetings and didn't have a chance to feel their love growing. 2. Gavin and Penelope. I'm not sure why there was all the secrecy around their "relationship" or Gavin's past, but it grew a little annoying for me that it was constantly brought up and yet never resolved. If there is a follow up book and it all comes to light in that, great, but maybe less reference to it in the first book would help. Or the author should state that this is the first in a duology, trilogy or series so that we know there will be revelations to come. 3. I couldn't believe that the woman Tade claims to love has just given birth and instead of standing at her side to celebrate and comfort her after such an ordeal, he leaves her to go and comfort an upset ex-girlfriend. I don't know any man who values his life who would do this, it seemed totally out of character for me. 4. I appreciate we were given an ARC copy, but it shouldn't have the editors / publishers notes still left in on two occasions (that I spotted). (There were some spelling / grammar errors, but as it's an ARC these should be sorted before release so these didn't affect my rating). 5. The plot twist/s. I really admire the author for bringing up such a controversial matter. Incredibly brave. It seems to me that the book was written with the aim of making people really think whether love can really overcome anything, what would they do if they were in that position. If not for that reason, maybe it was put in there to shock. Either way it left me feeling incredibly uneasy and perturbed, so for this reason if there were to be a second book, I personally wouldn't want to read it I'm afraid. 6. I would have liked to have had a better emotional reaction to this book, to be willing for the Hero & Heroine to make it, to feel their pain when they were having troubles, to cry at the happy or sad events, but I didn't. Again I feel that maybe it's because the book felt short/rushed that I just didn't have time to get attached to them.
Overall I would say that the author shows great promise with her writing, this book however, from the first enjoyable chapter, just really wasn't for me sorry. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read and review.
ARC provided for an honest review. This is another book I'm having a hard time rating. First, no offense but I hate the cover. When I first saw it I immediately fell into the whole "don't judge a book my it's cover" motto. I'll start with the blurb and go onto my thoughts about this book.
Blurb:

This twisted unhappy love story will unravel two hearts that learn some secrets that tie them together may ultimately tear them apart.
This romance may seem like an average love story… but it isn’t.
This is told from the H's POV (Tade). The story starts off with the typical college boy looking to get as much "P" as he can with no commitment. He spots a beautiful redhead (Reagan,"Red" "biscuit") and approaches her to get the brush off. He finally convinces her to let him take her on a date making her fully aware that he doesn't do girl friends or date for that matter (this is "special"). She has trust issues after a long time boyfriend cheated on her and wants to make sure Tade is honest with her after she's seen his playboy ways. After a few dates and some jealousy between the two of them they decide to become official; some how Reagan has changed him and he wants to be with her and only her.
I liked the h but really didn't like the H or his best friend (Gavin) at all. Quote from Tade "Unfortunately she wasn't that skilled." Really? You would want her to be? Then when Tade moves on (literally) to law school, I find his choices disgusting and despicable. This story to me started off with the same old college romance up until about 75% through and then the twist comes. Now I can't tell you what that is but it's a doozy. I loved the fact that the author wasn't afraid to take a chance with this book, but I guessed the twist early on. I asked my husband based on the facts given in the book and read him the prologue if he thought I was right and he agreed so I think with a little cutting of some facts and maybe even change of title the twist would be better. I also feel in the editing process you need to look at things a guy would say since this is coming from the H's POV and "cray cray" isn't something I personally have ever heard a straight guy say. I really don't think the prologue needed to be repeated as the reveal was about to come out. There were also a lot of editing errors but this was an ARC so hopefully that is changed for the other readers.
Final thoughts: Loved this concept! Loved the twist! I just thought it could have been executed better. Gavin and Penelope, (Reagan's best friend) I found irrelevant to the story, (unless they are getting a book) I was just confused by them. This is a tough one for me I can't seem to form a good opinion on it but if your not afraid to dive into something a little dark and steamy then give this book a try and tell me if you could guess the twist. Please respect the author and leave it out of comments to not spoil anything for future readers.
So, this story starts of with Tade, the lead male and his friend Gavin, pussy hunting in a bar. Tade's eye is caught from across the room by a red headed beauty wearing cherry red lipstick, and although she glances his way, she doesn't pay much attention. After asking her for a dance and her not showing any interest, Tade's goes on his way. Then he sees her again at a party. And still she's not interested. Eventually though she does succumb (funnily enough as he doesn't really chase her, but maybe that's why..... )
I don't want to give any spoilers to this story, so my descriptive part of this review will end there and I will go on to say what I thought of this book.... I kinda liked red/biscuit as she was named by the H. She had a wholesome quality. Wasn't too keen on Gavin the H's friend. I was really enjoying the story and, aside from lots of grammatical error (this may be due to it being an ARR) it seemed to flow pretty well. Then suddenly, BAM! - THE TWIST- I did actually see this coming but kept telling myself not to be so silly. Funnily enough, the story had drawn me in so well that even with the twist not being my thing, I had to keep reading to the end. I can't really say much about this story without giving the game away and much as it's not my thing at all I still give 4 stars.. 3 for the beginning and 1 for the rest after the twist. This really isn't your "normal" romance even though it dupes you into thinking so. I'd say Bravo to the author for taking the plunge with this.
I’m not sure how I feel about this book. I have actually postponed writing this review as I was trying to sort out what my thoughts were regarding it…I think the book had great potential. Let’s start with what I did like about the book: the story was told from a Male POV which is always refreshing to read and the story was not your typical love story.
The twist left me feeling dumbfounded and I’m sure that was the intention of the author. I think with the right execution, I would have been able to wrap my mind around it but there were several things in the story that just didn’t do it for me. There were several times where I felt that the H did not handle the situation the way a person that is total in love with the h would. Knowing how h feels during certain parts of the story would have helped the reader connect with the characters more but since this was told from the H’s perspective, I can see how this could be challenging. For those who are a stickler about cheating, the H did technically cheat. The H and h were no longer together at the time but they were not officially broken up – as a matter of fact, the H was in control and chose not to take the step to make it official. Also the scene during the birth of their child rubbed me the wrong way.
I commend the author for exploring a taboo subject, and would have accepted and enjoyed the story more if I could connect with the characters better.
**Received a complimentary copy in exchange for honest review**
Unexpected, jarring, romantic, thought-provoking … you will get all of that with this story. Echo White takes us into Tade's world, his dad is a Senator so he has to live a "clean" life and stay out of the press. He has developed a one-night stand policy but then he sees Red (aka Reagan) and his world shifts. Reagan has Tade's number, she has seen his many conquests and he has never noticed her but all the sudden Tade is everywhere she is. Can Tade show her there is more to him than the reputation he has created? Is Reagan willing to let him into her heart?
I loved Reagan's unwillingness to just bend to Tade's desires. She is strong and feisty, just what Tade needs in his life. Tade really is a great guy but has had to deal with life under his father's career so his choices aren't always the best given the box he has lived in. The 2 together really work to bring each other out of their respective shells. There are several twists and turns that I didn't expect and might put some people off but the story works and is amazing as we watch 2 individuals figure out what is important and how to fight for it.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The story has a fantastic premise, and most of the book was very well written. However, it stills needs some editing on spelling, sentence sintaxis, etc. There were some parts that were tedious and somewhat repetitive, but it kept my interest. The only problem was at the beginning, it was a little boring and it seemed to be going nowhere. I liked that Tade was not a rebellious son of a Senator, merely a young man determined to live his life on his own terms, not under the shadow of his father. He had a nice relation with his mother. His friend Gavin has murky moments that I guess will be made clear in a sequel. This tactic of leaving plot lines open to resolve later was transparent. Reagan was not very well developed as a character to me, I didn't feel a connection to her, maybe because the story was told from Tade's POV. The twist towards the end was a real shocker. I think the author handled it brilliantly. Actually, the second part of the book was better written than the first part, it was more logical and credible. And I liked the ending just fine!
This was just okay for me. The flow of the story was hurried to me, and didn't develop the characters well.
This story is about a rich kid, Tade, whose father is a politician and he keeps a low profile because of that. I guess because he wants people to accept him for himself and not use him. Also so that nothing negative damages his father's reputation. He meets Reagan, or Biscuit, the nickname he gives this girl at the college he attends, that he just can’t forget about even though he doesn’t do relationships.
He falls hard for Biscuit and they do begin a relationship, then the twists and turns begin that I can’t talk about because it would give away an important surprise part of the book that the author request not be shared. All I can say is its a doosy.
I appreciate being given the opportunity to read and review this book.
The beginning of the book was captivating. I was immediately drawn in by the author's descriptive writing style. The story of Tade and Reagan was so interesting in the beginning. Tade, son of a senator, was attending a smaller college to keep a low profile. No strings relationships were his choice to keep girls and life less complicated. He sees Reagan has to have her but she's the one girl that doesn't make it easy. He makes an effort and tries a different approach with her. The relationship and chemistry take off from there. I was almost confused at the title until we get to the meeting of the parents. The story kind of just started phasing out for me. I could never imagine being in that situation. I was not expecting that at all!!!!! If you're for something with a fresh, unpredictable approach give this a try.

Wow oh wow I totally did not see the twist coming at all and loved it, this book was slow to take off for me at the start i didn't fully click with the characters, but but the end I was fully invested and couldn't put the book down I was crying real tears, the author had me believing it was all happening to one of my best friends and my heart was broken into pieces and i just had to keep reading I couldn't put the book down in the end, i think the fact it wasn't your normal everyday romance novel is what i liked about this book in the end I really wanted them to be a family even though it goes against what I believe its a very thought provoking read.
3.5 stars After reading Sins of the father I was left feeling very confused. I was really enjoying the book and the blurb really caught my eye. I thought I was in for a great story. It started off great, but then by the end I was left completely confused and just having no idea what the heck happened. The story was fast paced and the characters were good and easy to connect too. The story was very unique, esp nearer the ending. There was however a lot of spelling and grammar errors throughout. I had very high expectations from this book, but it just wasn't for me unfortunately. I'd defiantly give the authors books another go in the future though as there was potential there and I'm sure her writing will get better over time.
I finished this book two days ago and I wanted to let myself marinate on it for a while before writing my review. The story of Tade and Reagan was just okay for me. The writing was decent and the story flowed well. I do wish I had more information about why Tade never noticed Reagan before. I was hoping that maybe she underwent some sort of major transformation over their years at school. Anyhow, I was hooked after a few chapters and wanted to see where their relationship was heading. Soon enough the ending hit me and I was speechless. I had an OMG moment and I wasn't sure if it was a good or bad OMG. I still don't know a few days later so I'm going to have to just give this an okay read.

We meet Tade Astor, who is in his last year of college and will be continuing on to become a lawyer. Tade doesn't do relationships. Every woman he's been with he's told them straight on, what he expects. It's not until he is out with his best friend Gavin, that he sees a woman that catches his eye. Everything he believes in gets thrown out the door when he meets Reagan Abby.
I thought the book was good. There were some things I disagreed with, but continued to read. I also felt the story between Tade and Reagan felt a little rushed. Overall it was quick good read.
I really enjoyed the story, until the end. The ending was shocking but overall, love makes you do crazy things.
A senator's son, falling for a girl that he shouldn't will shake your soul and leaving you thinking; "What just happened."
It will leave you questioning what you just read and if its something that is even possible, is it even real but we all know the answers. It crosses some barriers but the story up to the twist will capture you and leave you breathless at times.
So all I can say is take some caution when thinking about reading Sins of the Father because that title should give you some insight of what to expect.
I read this book in one sitting and absolutely LOVED it. The intensity of the love is off the chart! My heart was pounding from start to finish. I was choked up and crying the last few chapters. This book is totally unique, unlike anything else I've ever read. It tore through all of my emotions. It's an impossible love story with intensely strong emotions. I recommend this book to all especially those who believe in second chance like me. It has one if the mist wonderful endings ever! I believe this us the authors first book. Well, 5 stars for her, I will be looking for more from her.
Wow. I absolutely love every bit of this book. Wish I understood Gavin and Penelope relationship. But Tade and Reagan was amazing. I liked how they met and he knew her as red and she never told her his name so he called her biscuit. This story still has my heart beating and in tears. Tade never wanted a girlfriend. He was only into one night stands. Reagan wanted a boyfriend. A complicated relationship but love is the only thing that keeps you going. Thank you for the amazing read.
This book was given to me for an honest review by the author. I will start out by saying this is not your typical love story. So if you want the typical love story this book is not for you. Now to me, I loved this book. It had several twists and things happened that I never would have thought were going to happen. This kept the story interesting. There were times my emotions were mixed but it kept me interested in the story. This story was different but I like different!
Received ARC for review...I was very interested in the story at first and really liked the male POV. But as the story continued I didn't feel the connection between them that much. Since we don't know what is going through her mind, some of her actions were totally a surprise, but not in a good way. Im still not sure if Im happy with the ending of this book. I believe it had more potential. Thanks anyway for the opportunity.

It was hard to rate this book. It certainly had great potential and reading the blurb, I had expected a better story. The writing style was okay for me, I loved the characters. They could have been better developped, though. The ending came as a total surprise that really left me feeling confused. All in all, this was just an okay read for me.
I really liked this book. I couldn't seem to put this one down. I loved the characters of Tade and Red. They had wonderful chemistry!! I really enjoy reading from a male's point of view. Great love story. It was certainly a book that kept my emotions all over the place!! I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I can say it did invoke a shit load of emotions lol The shock of this story totally changed my mind about this book. I would have rated it a 3 or a 4. I didn't find that Red has a bunch of personality in the story. That was disappointing to me. But the Shock of the story reduced my rating A LOT
