Meanwhile, as Dr. Kian Barret works with his engineers to expand the size of the station, he is brutally attacked, leading to a series of catastrophic events that could see all the station inhabitants lost in the vacuum of space.

Penny de Byl is a professor of computer game design and development, artificial intelligence, animation, and educational technology. She has been awarded numerous awards for teaching and research throughout her twenty-year career. She has a PhD in artificial intelligence and computer game character programming.

I love this series and think Penny de Byl is one of the best SF writers emerging today. I won't go into chapter and verse about the book but say that my favourite aspect of Penny's writing is how she manages to ground her characters in near future settings with believable technological advances which she really brings to life. It makes me think that her future world/worlds are possible and really get the imagination going.

I have a short list of my favourite SF writers and this talented lady has just joined it. This is my second book in the series and I wasn't at all disappointed. The storyline was enthralling and had me hooked very quickly whilst the SF elements are dealt with in a way that they feel very believable.

I really enjoyed this book by Penny de Byl. It is the second book in the series and it is equally as great as the first book. What draws me to Penny's writing is that she is so descriptive about nature, technology and the world of science. It is hard to find that in today's writing. You can tell that she has a deep knowledge of her subjects and the way that she writes about them is highly enticing. Her style of writing just draws the reader into the story and the plots are so great. I liked this second adventure and it included many of the characters from book one. I normally don't like reading series, but this series flows well together and keeps your attention on the book. I'm a huge fan of her books and I am eager to see what she will put out next. Highly recommend The Chaldean Legacy.

This was a good book, it was very easy to read and I liked the main characters. I haven't read the first book but that didn't hinder me reading this one. The author has a way of describing high tech ideas, gadgets, and theories that are totally believable and I could see done in the far future.

I won't spoil anything, but the premise of this book is interesting and thought provoking. It looks like there is a third book, I'll probably put it on my list to read, I would like to see what happens to the characters next.
