Galloway is pastor of the largest small-group driven congregation in North America and in The Small Group Book he tells why it is necessary to make small groups a big priority and how to make them work. The book gives tips for new churches and renewing churches with longstanding traditional ministry styles who can become excited about cell-group life if the foundations are laid properly.
A really great book if you want to begin small group ministry. Only caveat is that I think we've moved into seeing closed groups work better now than open, but it comes down to the goals and discipleship process for your particular church.
A practical book on how to start and run small groups from a church. Helpful, but sometimes it was too specific to the writer's church experience for my liking.
