Sam Taplin grew up in a beautiful valley in Yorkshire, where he dreamed of being a writer, and after three years reading other people's books at university he started writing his own. He's been doing it ever since. When he's not writing about lonely rabbits or inquisitive bears, he likes doing card tricks, writing songs and playing long games of chess by the fire.

I grabbed this with my hostess rewards and I'm so glad I did. This is such a neat little book. There weren't quite as many songs included in it as I expected, but it's still so cool! I was also hoping for a little more instruction on music than this gives. But it's the beginners level. I'm hoping maybe the older level book will provide a little more instruction on what the notes are called and such.

My daughter is 2, so she's not quite old enough to read the song and match the dots to play the tune in any sort of coherent sound. But she enjoys playing her own tunes and then listening to me play the actual songs. This is going to be a great book when she gets a little older to help her with matching and following patterns. It's super cool!

Another very entertaining book from the Usborne publications. It is made for playing ... you can stroke the keys on the book and make a song out those ... and you have specifics describes inside.
My little girl enjoyed for like 35-40 minutes - most likely when she will grow a bit she will enjoy it even more.
I do recommend it to everyone who likes piano and they got little children .... it is entertaining for them that is for certain.
Overall definitely worth the time.

Another winner! I wish this book had thicker pages, or better yet, waterproof pages so little fingers don't get the pages and keyboard dirty. Or tear them. Cute songs to play with colored dots. Simple instructions.

It's great that it have the correct notes, the right notes from the score of the songs, but it doesn't say anywhere for what age it is, or maybe I couldn't find anywhere. And the keys are not sensitive touch, it's so hard for me to press them, me that I did couple of years of piano and it hurts my hand after playing some songs from it. I couldn't imagine how a kid can press on it, really. I'm very disapointed.

Hard to press, discouraging for children.

Though nicely designed and nice songs provided

I thought this book sounded so cool during my Usborne party so I got it as part of my rewards. We gave it to our daughter as a Christmas present. While it's super cool, it's a bit old for her. Obviously I knew the part where it teaches about reading music would be too old for her now, but it's actually even hard for her to press the keys to get the sound. This book is probably better suited for an older toddler, maybe around 4. My daughter will be able to grow in to this though and I want her to have a music background of some sort, so this will be a good introduction (and maybe I will learn something too since I never had the chance to explore music as a kid).
