Fantastic book. The story of a kidnapping, basically, and how it effected all the people involved. Including the kidnappers, of course. Almost Stockholm syndrome-ish, but not really.

Meaningful, interesting and well-written. The kind of book I would like to write myself, and not be ashamed to have written.

An extremely memorable book that has been burned into my memory since middle-school, when my grandmother gave me a copy. The crime and kidnapping elements were intelligently crafted from the victim's view. I'm all for a film adaptation someday.

I found the story interesting but felt like there were a few gaps in it and the ending left too many open questions for me.

I quit because of bad language, which was a disappointment since the back cover made it sound interesting.
