Being born rich, Taylor Hudson had it all from money, beauty, and social status but behind the glass door lies a vulnerable young woman seeking the affection and love from her parents. In all honesty, she is a young woman who just wants to be loved and so when she meets Levi, he became somewhat a game to spice up her boring and lonesome life. Is it love, lust, or loneliness that brought a blue collar thief and the spoiled daughter of the town’s wealthiest families together? Levi is masquerading as the new handyman in an effort to find the safe that holds millions of dollars in the Hudson mansion. Taylor is the seemingly shallow and self-centered teen beauty who dares to taunt Levi with her body, while letting him know how lofty her position is. Like opposites, they are attracted to each other in an animalistic and carnal way, but the ...more

:: 4.5 Stars for the Perfect Betrayal ::

WOW. I really enjoyed this book. I read it in one day! It was the perfect mix of love and betrayal. What really caught my attention (and kept it throughout the book) is the fact the love can conquer all. Money doesn’t always mean everything, and sometimes love can come about even in the strangest scenarios. T

Unfortunately, I could not get into the book. The main female MC was not pulling me in. She immediately came off with no redeeming qualities, which turned me off from reading more. The background of the characters should have been developed a bit more within the first few chapters, mainly Levi's. The lack of chemistry between the two main MCs was painfully obvious

I have had the same issue with character and plot development with this author before.

21-year old Levi Russo is the new Head of Maintenance at the Hudson mansion. But his new job is only a cover: in fact, he's mapping out the whole house in search of a safe containing over $15m. When his mission turns out successful, he'll be able to divvy up the money with his Boss and his 2 friends and partners, and make a run for it.

But he never expected Taylor Hudson t

Taylor seems like the typical spoiled little rich girl. She is the girl that all girls strive to be and all guys want to sleep with. But she doesn't seem to enjoy being that person. She doesn't want to date who everyone thinks she should date, she doesn't want to be seen and not heard by her parents and she doesn't want to fall for the maintenance guy. Sometimes things aren't as they seem but sometimes they are.

Perfect Betrayal was an OK read.

After reading Held Against You, which I LOVED I was sooo looking forward to reading Perfect Betrayal so it makes me sad that I didn't get the same enjoyment from this book.
I struggled to get into it. The storyline was OK but I just didn't feel the love/connection between Taylor and Levi. This left me feeling disconnected with the story and thus affected my overall enjoyment.

I enjoy Season Vining's writing and I'm looking forward to her next book.

I love Season Vining's writing, and if you haven't indulged in it yet, this book is a perfect start. Levi and Taylor are stinking hot together and I love the added dynamic of the the twisting plot. The sex scenes are STEAMY and the action doesn't stop. LOVE the banter between the friends.

The inside man. The spoiled rich girl. A love/hate relationship with sparks flying left, right and center. Perfect Betrayal was a rollicking good time, complete with an edge-of-your-seat heist, a seduction that neither party expected to become more, and an ending that’ll make you smile…

Levi knows what it’s like to grow up with no money and very little in the way of prospects, while Taylor knows what it’s like to have the world at her fingertips, but not what it’s like to be loved by her distant

I requested this as an ARC because the blurb sounded good and the cover was cute.

This could have been a winner, really, I get what the author tried to tell us with this book. But the implementation was not successful, I mean not in my opinion.
I didn’t feel anything for Taylor and Levi, there was no chemistry, no lust, no tension. The rich girl and poor boy cliché didn’t work the way it could have. Taylors BFF Reese was an annoying bitch, who whored around with married (older) m

When I first started reading this book, I wanted to close it and stop reading.. I absolutely did not like the main characters. Fortunately, since I had promised to review it, I continued anyway. I was very happy that I didn't because I found that I could not put the book down.

It's no secret that I have enjoyed both of Season's previous books immensely. There is something about her story telling that pulls me in from the very first page and never lets go. Her books always leave me with a book hangover and, Perfect Betrayal is no exception.

One thing to note about Season's writing; she slowly peals away the layers of her characters and plot. I am always on the edge of my seat anxiously waiting for a twist

This story begins with Levi posing as a maintenance man to gain access to the exclusive Hudson residence. He and his crew know that Mr. Hudson keeps millions of dollars in cash in that house, they just have to find it. With the house mostly empty for the summer, Levi is confident he can get in and out with no complications...that is until he sees Taylor, the Hudson's daughter.

Taylor is spending the summer at home before going of to Harvard to start her new life. She just wants to have fun, and a

Whoa! Vining definitely turned-up the heat in her third novel, The Perfect Betrayal. If her first book was G rated, get ready for restricted admission!

I’ve said this a thousand times: Any book that quotes one of Shakespeare’s golden three (McBeth, Midsummer Night’s Dream and the Tempest) in the first ten pages to foreshadow the book’s theme has my attention. Throw in spontaneous quotes from one of my main men, Whitman or Emerson, and I have high expectations.

Grrrrrr....I am so frustrated right now....

I wanted to love this book, I swear I did. The premise sounded awesome and I loved the cover, however I just couldn't get into the story inside. Told in third person (which I hate), there is a real disconnect with the characters. They are extremely flat and their personalities are all over the place. The main female, Taylor, and her BFF Reece are obviously Cher and Dionne from Clueless just with different names. They are your stereotypical shallow, vain

This story started a little slow, but by Chapter 3 I was hooked. The characters couldn’t be more different. Levi didn’t grow up with money growing on trees, but he was loved. Taylor has access to anything she could possibly want, except the affection of her parents. The age difference put me off to start with, but Taylor is surprisingly mature for her age when you get underneath the spoiled brat that she shows everyone. Levi does his best to stay away from Taylor, but some th

I really wanted to like this book and to a certain extent -- I did. However, there were some pacing, development issues that took this from potentially being a really good story to a just okay story.

The story centers around Levi and Taylor -- two people who couldn't be anymore different. Taylor is the rich spoiled brat often ignored by her parents, while Levi is the "bad boy" from the other side of the tracks who's working at Ta

Taylor was hard to like at first. She came off as a spoiled, rich brat with a "poor me" mentality. She was ignored by her family and lonely except for a few close friends. So she consoles herself with her money. I liked her more later when she started to show some vulnerability and a little more personality.
Levi plays guitar and recites poetry. He can debate Romeo and Juliet and fix just about anything. So pretty much the perfect guy. But he's working as a maintenance man in order to rob the hou

I fully expected this to be a toss away book just a little fun to pass the time but I was surprised.

The writing is actually good and despite planning to skim it I got caught up in the story. I'm a sucker for love overcoming class and complex characters that are more than their stereotypes. The ending while obvious was still sweet especially since Levi chose honor over what he wanted. There were good bits of light humor, emotional moments and suspense.

My complaints are that Levi was too manly m

I thought this book was fantastic! I do not normally read romance but was recommended this by a friend. The writer manages to weave an interesting tale amidst all the romance. I honestly should have seen the twist but honestly it caught me completely by surprise. I found myself laughing out loud at the character Suzanne. She reminded me of my mother in law, who also says crazy things.

I know I say this a lot, but I REALLY did not expect like this book so much. But I did. I really did. So... a little back story. I know I've talked about this (a lot) too, but I've come to find out that a huge number of New Adult book follow a formula these days - you know - two ridiculously hot main characters (plus points if the guy is all tattooed and just screams bad boy), lots and lots of sex, off-the-charts chemistry... and an earth-shattering secret that will pull them apart (for a while) ...more

It took me three weeks to finish Perfect Betrayal. To some, this may seem like a little or short amount of time (just chock it up to life getting in the way). To others, it may seem like a long time (like what was I doing this whole time). For me, three weeks raises the question: why did I keep trying? WOW. Where do I begin to explain how much I enjoyed reading this book! I absolutely loved the fact that it was the perfect combination of betrayal, lust, and love. In spite of all the drama and conflicts this book is a true example that love can conquer all. And even though money is an important part of life, it doesn’t mean anything at the end if you aren’t truly happy. The characters in this book were truly amazing. I have adored the previous books I have read by Ms Vining, and while I liked Perfect Betrayal, I didn't love it like I have her other books.

I am not saying that this is not a good book. I liked the story, and I liked the male MC Levi, but there was just something about the female MC Taylor that I just couldn't connect with. It's hard to put my finger on what it was though. I have been thinking about it for a couple

Perfect Betrayal was a story that took me a couple of chapters to warm up to as it starts out fairly slow as we’re introduced to the players and the plot. As it begins we’re introduced to our slightly unlikable lead female protagonist, Taylor. Taylor is your quintessential poor little rich girl when we first start out, she is obnoxious, entitled and just a little bit narcissistic but as the story unfurls and circumstances alter and shift so too does Taylor’s perspective on life and indeed hersel ...more

I know when I pick up a book written by Season Vining it's going to be good. Her writing is consistent and always engaging. She manages to infuse intensity into words that evoke lasting emotion. I know I'm going to shed at least a few tears while reading but I'm alright with that. It just means I connected with the characters and story.

Perfect Betrayal is the story of Taylor and Levi. They're an unlikely couple. Taylor is used to getting what she wants except from her parents and Levi
