This was so interesting! Seeing the rescue from Kiernan’s point of view! I didn’t know I wanted this until I got it. In the main series it makes it seem like he just has to blink in a few times, and then succeeds. This short story makes me appreciate the rescue a lot more!
I’m glad the whole splintering thing was explained more in this. It happens a few times in the main series, but this really goes into it.
It was also nice to see Jess again.
And that’s it. Aside from finishing the comics, this is the last new thing to read in the CHRONOS world. I’m so sad!

As a huge fan of Rysa Walker's Chronos Files series, I was thrilled to read a story from Kiernan's POV/s of his rescue of Kate from real life serial killer H.H. Holmes during the 1893 Chicago's World Fair. I always wondered how Kiernan pulled it off, but never imagined it as trippy as it ended up being. (Time trippy, actually!) Rysa pulled no punches in this wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey storyline. Loved it!

A great quick read!
I love all of the Chronos Files books, but it’s great to learn more about the story from different perspectives!

Author Rysa Walker continues Kiernan Dunne's story with this shorty story about how a splinter (a temporal splinter) comes pops into his room and tells him that in 25 days he will attempt to save his love from the evil Holems. But besides telling his younger self that Kiernan also gets the splinters memories and he remembers Holems shooting him. So Kiernan takes the warning to heart but still goes back to 1893 where there are many many splinters and there he then tries and tries to save Kate. But at one point he dose makes a sound to distract Holems but Kate here's it instead and is splashed with acid. He then travels back a few more minutes to undo what had happened. This is a great time-travel short story and I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter in this series. I highly recommend this story for all science fiction and time-travel fans.

The character of Keirnan was one of my favorite characters of this series; so I was excited to see a short story about him! I wish this story was a little longer in length! The author explores the concept of splinters (which Simon explains in the original series) and it is a very fascinating concept. I loved s of the seeing more of Keirnan's personality and his love for his Kate. This is a MUST READ for fans of the Original CHRONOS files; and of course all of Keirnan's fan base!

Good short story
It was interesting to see the events at the end of the first book in the CHRONOS Files series play out from Kiernan's point of view. He describes trying several times, and it is interesting to see how he used himself to save Kate, and faced disappearing. Time travel can definitely give me a headache.

This short story fills in another interstitial event from the Timebound and Time's Echo storyline; and, this time it's again from Kiernan's point of view. Walker's ability to create suspense even when the reader know the outcome is front and center. And, it fills in details for both Timebound and Time's Echo. A very worthy addition to the Chronos Files.

This was a good travel back in time to see a key moment in the first book seen from another perspective. A must read for fans of the series.

Well, have read most in the new anthology already. Not sure it is worth buying any more piece meal. But it was fun to read about a portion of Kiernan's story!

Splinter is a short story by Rysa Walker that fits neatly with her Chronos Files stories, Timebound, Time's Edge, and Time's Divide. Possibly a stand alone story. Hard to decide as I have read (and enjoyed!) the three. If you read as a stand alone you will be wanting to read the other three!

Great short story (very quick read!) about a small but important part of the trilogy. I have enjoyed the stories from Keirnan's perspective. This gives you a little more information on the effects of time travel.
