I was really excited to start reading this book. I don’t read a lot of Medieval based books so I was really excited to read this one when I heard about this one. Based on the description I was expecting something really different than what I got but I am really excited that it didn’t follow my expectations because I think I would of been rather disappointed.

Anyways, I really liked the way this story was set up. It starts with a young girl receiving a book on her birthday and we then

Elise's Choice is an appealing tale revolving around medieval life, mostly taking place in the village of Petheralm. Elise is a farm girl who wants nothing more than to tell stories. She weaves her tales to the delight of her young audience whenever she gets the chance. Elise lives at home on the farm with her mother and father, and they all work very hard, day in and day out. Her childhood friend, Anton, is the only one

Rachel Stiber, author of “Elise’s Choice,” creates a riveting tale of strength, power, and love. The reader is transported to a distant land of peasants, healers, and royalty. Petheralm is a charming, close-knit village of peasants that care for their own. The Enchanted Forest, which surrounds Petheralm, protects the village from unwelcome guests; that is until a handsome, charismatic stranger is injured in the woods and quickly instills himself into the villagers’ lives. Anton and Elise grew up ...more

Elise's Choice is the debut novel by Rachel Stiber. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the writing and interesting storyline set forth by this pleasing YA romance.

The story opens with a young girl on her birthday. Celeste is thrilled when her grandmama hands her a book. The books shares the tale of Elise, Anton and King Ludiford.

Elise and Anton are simple people

I love a good fairy tale, happy endings and sweet romance. My 1 stars is partly because I believed this book to be something very different. I thought it was a fairy tale retelling or a sweet romance. I was also surprised by the length. The writing was well done, but a little too much repetition. The author tells a good story, but I kept wishing it was shorter, that the story could have been told in a faster way with a lot less detail. I almost put it down at one point thinking it had to be the ...more

This YA is written in such a way that readers of all ages will enjoy. It is quite lengthy. The perfect read for those rainy or cold days you want to cuddle up with a book. I always love paranormal romance, although I am not a huge fan of historical. Stiber does a fantastic job with her imagery and truly makes the story come to life.

I like the story line. Stiber creates an interesting story about peasant life. The enchanted forest is interesting and shapes the lives of the towns peopl

I loved Elise's Choice. Rachel Stiber did an amazing job of bringing her characters and settings to life. Despite their faults and shortcomings, they triumphed and succeeded through all the twists and turns of the story. Ultimately, a choice was I didn't see coming. Now, I just hope Stiber is almost through with the sequel because I can't wait for the saga to continue!
