I’ll start off saying that dystopian is not my usual reading choice. However after reading Numbers collide I may have to rethink that at least as far as this series is concerned. The story centers around Legacy and Kole a princess and a pauper who have fallen in love in the midst of a civil war that has thrown their country into chaos. As Legacy fights her brother for control and to save her people from his appalling rule, she must also contend with self doubt, her loved ones falling ill and running a resistance with some radical ideas for true change. Dystopian maybe, thrilling absolutely!
I truly enjoyed reading this book. It’s a fascinating story that drew me in from the beginning. Legacy is a wonderful protagonist. She’s thrust into a position she doesn’t want, nor does she feel really qualified for it but she cares for her country and her people and wants to help and so she soldiers on the best she can. She is very relatable. Kole is strong, stubborn and fiercely protective of Legacy. While she deeply cares for him she doesn’t tolerate his overprotectiveness which adds a bit of levity to the story. I think there’s a bit of something for everyone action, mystery, romance all mixed together in a world gone mad with a core of resistance trying to bring back stability.
I received an ARC from the author. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.

This was a wonderful, yet to me, unexpected way of ending this series but I still loved it! Once I started reading I just couldn't put it down! Action and a love story all while trying to make things "right in the world" get me every time! I voluntarily received and read an ARC for an honest review.

3.75 stars. I really enjoyed this series. And I enjoyed in this book seeing what happened. But as it went on, I felt like it had less and less of the interesting premise that attracted me to the series. It still had interesting and real characters, but the larger conflict felt more Us vs. Them, rather than about the rating system or the other things that divides the sides.

The story was a good wrap up to the series with some action and a touch of romance for the young adult reader.
