Moments of Being

Rate this book
Moments of Being homes in on, and isolates, a series of particular 'moments', lived, imagined or dreamt. Evoking a range of emotions and tensions, they lay bare the tenuous nature of experience - the pleasures of discovery, the pitfalls of communication, the pressures of modern living, the relief or consolation of escape. The poems, mainly in English, though occasionally in Italian (and French), demonstrate a love of, and feel for ambiguity, ellipsis, wit, humour and irony, with images and resonances drawn from both the English and Italian literary traditions.
