I work as a professional cake decorator and bought this book to keep at work as a flower reference. Great pictures, good explanations of the steps for each flower, and it even has a few cute tiered cakes at the end of the book. I only wish the authors had listed the flowers alphabetically instead of by color or had included an index.

This is a decent reference book but I agree with another reviewer's comments that the organization could be much better. Had it been indexed and alphabetized, this book would be much easier to use. The photography is poor. I think better lighting would have made the flowers not look greasy. Some flowers I did not recognize at all and some flowers (particularly those with more dimension like irises and fuchsia) would be better served done in fondant.

Love this book. Besides the how to for the flowers, there are also lots of tips and information that even a beginner like me can understand.
The directions for the flowers are clear and easy to follow, with great photos. I also like the organization of the flowers: the authors have sections based on the flowers’ color.
I will be making some buttercream flowers in the next week, and I will be using this book as my guide.
