While this book is pretty, I do not believe the author did any research. Butterfly misidentified, butterflies do not hang by a single thread of silk, chrysalis was called a shell, overdramatized the fear of tent caterpillars.
There are several scientific words explained, but many were left out that should have been included.
It is especially important for a child's book to be correct. They should not be led to believe false information.

I loved this beautiful living book about butterflies and moths. The illustrations are realistic watercolors, and there is a lot of information in children's book.
