Rate this book
In Oh, For the Love of God, Rev. John K. Antony explores five areas where the medium of sermons helps Christians encounter Christ with ease. The general themes of "Discipleship," "Fellowship," "Grace," "Self-awareness" and "Discernment" provide the external frame within which a portrait begins to emerge: the lovely Face of Christ. Oh, For the Love of God will help Christians of all faiths keep their eyes on the sweet prize of salvation.

This is a wonderful book, full of humor, insight, and encouragement, as well as strong direction for the Christian life. I am not Catholic and don't embrace many of the Catholic philosophies, but even though the author is a priest, he doesn't specifically write to Catholics. Anyone desiring a walk with the Savior might think about reading this. Really enjoyed it.

This collection of Father John's homilies is very good. He gives great, thought provoking and funny sermons. These little morsels of inspiration can be read over and over. Read one every morning and then go back and read them again when you reach the end. Even if you end up only doing a fraction of what the homilies ask you to do, you'll feel better about yourself and be a better person. Can't complain about that.

Awesome book! And I'm lucky enough to say that Father John Antony is the priest at my parish. :-D Pretty cool, right! Great spiritual journey.
