I received this book free through Goodreads giveaways. This was an informative book chock full of tidbits. It was written by the editors of Men's Health Magazine and includes information on many topics, such as health, fitness, nutrition, finances and some DIY projects (even on how to build a snow fort I kid you not!) Some of the topics addressed can apply to women as well as men, especially the sections on fitness and finances. I suggest this book to all the men in your life. ...more

This book is set up like a compilation of magazine articles that come out of "Men's Health." It is chock full of tips and strategies to enhance self improvement, something we could all use a dose of. As my detractors snicker, speak for yourself (LOL). Everything from health to money, soup, to nuts is covered in a format that can be overloading but never dull. Anyone who implements all of these plans will be set for life or at least certainly occupied in the process. ...more

Wow, super, amazing, awesome! This book has everything I needed to plan my future, and even more.
You have a lot of examples how you can make your life better with just simple things like adding some spinach to your food or how to keep yourself in a good shape while you're not in the gym.
+1 star for DIY projects where you have great templates for improving your life.

Saw this at an endcap at the library and consider it a waste of time. There are a couple things that are wrong with it. First, anybody who does any research will know the phrase "correlation does not mean causation." Second, when claiming facts from research, one should then cite the research so that the reader can validate it. The author(s) does neither and frankly, much of what they write is quite suspect.

What is troubling is that they make political statements, while claiming not to make pol

An excellent compendium for life improvement. Written in brief and actionable snippets, it covers all facets of life. Certainly some of the tips are easier or more practical to implement than others but overall, a very worthwhile collection.

Глядя на книжный рынок, интернет-блоги и прочие медиа-пространства, я начинаю подозревать, что сейчас каждый, кто научился хотя бы правильно отжиматься, тут же решает поведать об этом всему миру. И не просто так, похвальба – мол, смотрите какой я крутой, могу отжиматься! А вот прямо со всеми подробностями и деталями. Неплохое пособие по самомотивации, самолечению и прочим само-.

Больше всего понравилась последняя глава с различными проектами самосовершенствования. Меньше всего - ориентация автора на американский upper middle class+, которую можно было бы смягчить при переводе и на продукты, лекарства и прочие возможности жизни в США, хорошие, но малодоступные на пост-советском пространстве. Ну и ряд положений книги к 2020 году успели устареть...
