4 - "Knights don't kiss like that. Devils do." Stars!

The New York Saints series literally has gone from strength to strength since its beginning. And the third book in the series offers some serious rivalry in contention with book two for my overall favorite so far.

”I’ve always found team sports more enjoyable than solo ones.”

Mal Coulter is the third and final new owner of the team to get his story. Whereas Lucas and Alex were visible in each other’s books, the author kept Mal a little more elus

Raina, an experienced dancer and burlesque club owner, is hired by Alex Winters to coach the cheerleading squad for the New York Saints, the Fallen Angels. Malachi is one of the three owners who deals mostly with ensuring security for the team and the stadium. Apparently, Raina finds herself and her club being target for some misdemeanors, including graffiti and fireworks at her club, as well slashed tires on her personal car. Malachi takes protecting others very seriously – with Raina as one of ...more

I'm horrible at being the organized, responsible person when reading smexy books like Lawless in Leather. Ah well, I can finish packing tomorrow. Btw, the title of this book really does not fit the book BUT IT WAS HAAAWT.

As you can see, Lawless in Leather is book 3 in the New York Saints series, and the first book I’ve read by Melanie Scott. Although I picked it up in the middle of a series, it can be read standalone and wasn’t difficult to follow. The writing wasn’t anything special or unique; nothing about the writing of Lawless in Leather grabbed out at me as special to the genre. The attraction for me? The smexy characters and the intriguing story line!

MY HEROES! It was SO good to be back in the world of The New York Saints and read about Malachi! This is another one of those series that even tho each book stands on its own, you REALLY should read them all. These guys, my heroes, are bonded by a love of baseball, but specifically, their love for The New York Saints. Many moons ago, these three guys played for The New York Saints. They were playing down a path of stardom and then one day it all blew up in their faces, literally. And they became ...more

Lawless in Leather is my favorite New York Saints story! Mal and Raina were both awesome, flawed but willing to walk the walk to make a relationship possible!

Mal is the third co-owner of the New York Saints, a last place NY major league baseball team. He also rides a bike and is ex-military and a former player. Of course. He meets Raina, the choreographer for the new cheerleading troupe. There’s alot of things that happen, and in the midst of it all, romance.

The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between

In this sexy contemporary romance, third in the New York Saint's series but easily read as a standalone, we meet Reina and Mal. Though having a cheerleading squad for a baseball team might be unorthodox, when Reina is hired as their choreographer she's excited at the opportunity to earn some extra money that will aid her in keeping the burlesque bar she owns. Meeting sexy club owner and security expert Mal pushes more buttons than she wants to admit. He's got the bad boy vibe that's gotten her i ...more

Mal is a former baseball player who has bought an awful baseball team with his two best friends. When his friends decide to bring in some cheerleaders to bring up attendance. Reina is the dance instructor they hire to lead the cheerleaders. She owns a burlesque club and needs the extra money. Reina and Mal have an instant connection but they both have reasons for not wanting to get involved with each other. There is a really good storyline with some suspense and drama. This was a very enjoyable sports romance. I loved the two main characters, Raina and Mal. I thought they had great chemistry together! I also really enjoyed the premise of the book. There was a bit of suspense, and I liked having that brought into the story. I'm looking forward to more in this series. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an ARC in return for an honest review.

First of all it was the incredibly sexy book cover that caught my attention. Then when I read the prologue and read ‘training a cheer-leading squad for a baseball team & burlesque club, an ex-army, motorcycle, security, tough guy & former bad boy & bad girl, well right there I knew I had to read this book!

Well that sexy ex-army, motorcycle riding, tattooed bad boy turned good is Malachi Coulter, a former ballplayer himself who had just bought the worst baseball team in the major leag

This is the first book i've read from the author and it will not be the last. After I finished, i did read previous book in the series The Devil in Denim, Angel in Armani, but so far this book is the best in my opinion.
I do so love the both the hero and heroine characters, not only the are strong individually but totally combustible together. The story continues from previous book as this 3 friends just bought the worst team in major league not for profit but for the love of the game. Malachi i

Mal is the one owner of The Saints that has been more elusive in both of the previous books. Less information was given about him and so we get it all in this book.

Mal is a serious kind of guy, but he knows how to have fun, however he has a very protective streak and a wish to help save the world, hence his army days.

Raina is an ex professional dancer who now owns a Burlesque club and has been

Lawless In Leather was an enjoyable read.

I really enjoyed this book. Some of the drama was little much but I still enjoyed the storyline.
The main characters were likable and very relatable.
I loved seeing Mal and Reina try and fight their attraction for each other, but once they got together it was very hot and steamy, they were perfect for each other!

For me the New York Saints series keeps getting better and better. I'm enjoying Melanie Scott's writing and I'm looking forward reading mor

Awesome read!! This entire series has been great fun to read and this book doesn't disappoint! Mal Coulter, the third owner of the NY Saints, is a bad boy at his core. He's worked hard to put those tendencies behind him but Reina Easton, Saints cheerleader coach, calls to his inner bad boy like no one else. Mal can't believe Alex wants cheerleaders for a baseball team but he's out voted so now it's his job to keep everyone safe.

These books are well written and the characters are vibrant and real

I think I actually liked this better than Angel in Armani

I liked that the heroine was so put together. I think it was a bit too "slight of hand" to focus on her ex and then - bam - not - but it was interesting to see Mal go into ... crazy mode [and out of it]

I like that Melanie Scott writes strong, developed heroines. Planning on reviewing this at the blog.

This is book 3 in the New York Saints series, but it could be read as a stand alone - but why would you want to miss a minute of the hotness trio? The first two books are Devil in Denim and Angel In Armani.

I have loved this series since I first stumbled across them last year. And since I first started reading them, I have always felt that Malachi Coulter's story is going to be the one I really really loved.

And I was not wrong.
The Devil in Denim

All her life all Maggie Jameson has wanted to do was run The Saints when her father retired. She’s worked every day since she was a child to help the team. The last thing she ever expected was her father to sell the team out from under her. Alex Winters has always loved The Saints so when the chance came, he and his three friends jumped to buy the team. It’s a dream that they have always shared. Maggie allows Alex to convince her to stay and help The Saints but she can’t stop f

It seems as those Ms. Scott has saved the best of the terrible trio for last. In Lawless in Leather, Malachi Coulter gets his girl – whether he has time for her or not. As a former army-man turned security consultant, Mal is in charge of beefing up security at Deacon field to insure the safety of players and fans alike. If you have read the earlier books in the series, then you know that Mal’s past makes this task of the upmost importance and because of it he’s been putting everything he has int ...more

My Review:
Every single installment of this series has been good...and this one was no exception.

This book featured the final of the trio of friends who bought the New York Saints, a down on their luck Baseball team. Malachi made his fortune through the build-up of his security company that he started after he served as a special forces dude in the military. All these guys in this series are alpha and protective, but Mal is even more so...thus his choice in careers. He protects people for a livi

This great new story from Melanie Scott is a winner on all fronts. Hot sexy scenes with cool, fresh new characters who cover all the bases–they’re smart, funny, attractive, and they’ve been around the block. What’s not to love? This is the third book in the series, but I didn’t feel like I missed a thing in this book about a burlesque dancer and a hot, ex-military biker who both need to learn about love and letting go.

This was a very sweet story where two people that have instant chemistry but they seem to dance around each other. That changes the moment that their lips meet for their first kiss.

This is the third installment to New York Saints and finally Malachi Coulter is getting his story and he is the last of the owners to find love. His best friends are happy with their soul mates and in his head he is not ready for that. But the moment that he sees the Saint’s cheerleaders that changes because their cho

Loved this story!!!! There it’s got it all, alpha male, strong and feisty female, great friends, suspense, and of course lots of romance.

When she is offered a job as the dance coach/chorographer for a major league baseball team she takes the opportunity though not tot

Malachi (Mal) owned a baseball team, The New York Saints, with his two best friends, Alex and Lucas. They each tried to pitch in, doing their own part to make the team bigger and better. Mal took care of security which was becoming a nightmare with all that needed done before the season started. Including keeping the new cheerleaders safe. He wouldn't stand for anyone getting hurt on his turf. Baseball never had cheerleaders and didn't need any now either. Especially that sleek, little redhead w ...more

This was the first book I’ve read from Melanie Scott, and most definitely won’t be my last! I loved the story line, and fell in love with the characters. Melanie does an amazing job of not just connecting you to the main characters, but she also leaves you feeling like you know all the secondary characters as well!

Reina has to be one of my favorite female characters out there. She’s extremely independent and full of fire. She doesn’t put up with any crap, and gives just as much as she gets. But

Two things we know about baseball is there is "no crying in baseball" and absolutely no cheerleaders...or is there?

Raina Easton is not afraid to step up and do the unthinkable. When New York Saints baseball team offers her a job to coach their new cheerleading team she knows that she can not refuse. The publicity can help her new burlesque club and the check is great. This should be a cake walk...until she meets Malachi Coulter
