A review of the whole series since they're so short

At first I found the books mildly entertaining. It was a decent enough plotline and the set up for climax was good. However, multiple problems kept me from enjoying this. One, repetitive descriptors. Everything about her man is meaty--his meaty hands, his meaty balls, his meats a$$. You get the idea. The worst though, at least for me, was the sex described in a biologically impossible way. A man cannot "thrust his c -ck deep into my clit" nor can "my clit muscles fully enclose around his meaty tool". Impossible. The dialogue was awkward as well. "Oh, Markus! .You lick me so good. I want your thick tool" etc etc. This was a no go for me.

Into the Wild

I found this story to be extremely enjoyable, kept me rooted till the end.

Big girl finds herself wanted by 2 extremely hunky wolves, that is something that I fully enjoy because model type beauties are always the ones to get the hunk.

Kristen is thrown into a world she only thought existed in books. She was bitten and will turn into a wolf tomorrow and now she must choose between the 2 Alpha brothers Marcus and Dorian to be her mate and she only has a minute to do so. She is very tired of being used by bad boys, so she chooses the good boy looking wolf Dorian and soon realizes the error of her choice.

Marcus and Kristen want to be together, but what will happen now when Dorian shows up after sleeping off his drunken stupor, to get his woman.

I can't wait for book 2 in this series to see what happens.

This book was very well written and this is the authors first book? Great work Kate, this looks to be a great series, can't wait to read them.

To call this a "book" is being overly generous. Stories like this honestly irritate me to the extreme in that they are set up to drive additional purchases. Setting aside the fantasy aspect of the "book" I also found the heroine to be unbelievable. She accepts a completely bizarre set up with barely a shrug of her shoulders and "picks" her "mate" in less than a minute because a stranger told her too.... Yeah, don't think so. Then she throws over her "mate" for his brother and behaves in a completely unrealistic fashion.
This is really a slightly over developed short story with ok sexy time.
I got this for free from Amazon and feel like I might have over paid.

The beginning started off really slow and I couldn't get into the story. I didn't like the heroine or the Lycan side of the story. It ended with a cliffhanger, as most serials do, but I have no desire to read on. I think some readers might enjoy the book but it wasn't my cup of tea.

I'm not exactly sure where to start with this book because there are so many things that I personally didn't like. I suppose it is best to mention that this is my personal opinion about the entire series, not just this one book. While others seem to enjoy it and others do not, my personal opinion is that it could have been better, needed more and is not something I'll be rereading. As a warning, there will probably be spoilers.

The plot was extremely weak with little to no action and repetitive descriptions that left me cringing as I forced myself to turn my e-pages. There were so many things that bothered me. It started out okay with our slightly chubby camp leader dealing with the rich girl who tanned and the cute boy who gave her attention but was definitely more interested in the one putting out. That seemed realistic enough, but then it sort of went downhill. We're introduced to the bad guys who have no name but our characters are so doped up on drugged alcohol that they are unconscious for most if not all of it. They do not know what happened to them and who doesn't figure out that they've been bit in the neck? This is really the only time that we see who our potential bad guys are and all we know is they are monsters who kill or turn young girls that have no 'home' to go back to. Then our camp aids are expected to bond and mate happily with their chosen wolfman. Sure, there are some arguments but suddenly everyone is chummy chummy and 'rutting' as much as possible. It's not very realistic.

The characters were very two dimensional with weak and repeating descriptors. It made it difficult for me to fall in love with any one character, protagonist included and it also made it hard for me to hate any of the antagonists, which were plentiful. The dialogue was utterly painful and unrealistic. Some of the things that were said just simply would never pass through someones lips willingly. The dialogue during any and all sex scenes in the entire series were repetitive, unrealistic and reminded me of really bad acting in porn.

It's not the worst series I've ever read. While the writing style lacked tone, voice and characteristics that allowed me to fall in love with any part of the story, I was reminded that it has potential. With better care, a proper plot and climax, well thought out and planned characters, this story has chances. But where it is now, it's like the literature version of a b-movie. I forced myself to finish all six parts of Kristen's story but I have no desire to read anything else in by Kate Kent. Perhaps after my poor brain and eyes heal from this disaster, I'll look at some of her more recent books and see if her writing style has improved.

All of us are different in our own way. Some of us are skinny and tall, short and husky, even curvy. So enters Kristen into the picture, a BBW with luscious curves, brown hair, and brown eyes. Over the summer, she works as a camp counselor, but on her last day, something strange happens. Kristen along with two other counselors are celebrating their last day, when all of the sudden, they feel very woozy and pass out. Later, they wake up in a community different than what they've ever seen. The leader informs them of what happened, and their lives are changed forever. Now, Kristen must make the biggest decision of her life, who she wants to be with for the rest of her life. Will she choose Dorian, the one with white blonde hair with golden eyes, or Markus, with his exciting golden eyes and brown hair? Will she be able to deal with the change that will take place? Will she make the right choice, or realize she made a huge mistake?

Kate Kent did a brilliant job in writing this book. The details, the story line, everything pulls you in and captivates you, you don't want to stop reading, EVER. This book is perfect for all types of paranormal lovers out there! 10/10, I absolutely loved it!

Hot and steamy, this short part one will have you fired up in no time. After spending the last two weeks as a camp counselor for kids, Kristen is ready to go home, especially happy to leave co-counselor Beverly behind, so when all the kids are gone, and the boss asked them both to stay and clean up and complete the paperwork, she wasn't too happy, until Todd decided to stay with them. After the work is all done, and they decide to hang out around the camp fire, their happy to find that the boss has sent them a couple of nice big juicy steak with all the trimmings and a thermos of moonshine, and seeing that Todd wasn't supposed to be there, Kristen was all too happy to share. Little did they know the devious plans behind this supposed gesture of kindness.
A lot of action packed into such a short episode, that you won't want to put it down until you're done, left hanging for part two. What will happen to them all? Will Kristen really have to choose and stick to her choice, even though her choice had been persuaded for another's personal reasons? Will she finally find happiness after loosing her family at the young age of twelve? Can't wait until the next episode to find out!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Kristen James was working as a camp counselor for a couple weeks in the summer. The night before she is supposed to head home, Kristen and the other camp counselors are attacked. When she wakes up, she finds out everything in her life has drastically changed.

She now must choose between two sexy men, Markus and Dorian to have as a protector, guide, and possible mate in just a few minutes. Has Kristen made the right decision or has she missed her chance at being with her soul mate?

I really enjoyed this book. Kristen is just a college girl trying to get through life best she can and live her dreams until everything changes. She is scared, confused, and attracted to both Markus and Dorian.

I loved seeing how Kristen dealt with everything. Yeah, she had her moment of freaking out, but she did try to make the best of it. When she has to make a decision on who she will be with, I felt bad for her. She had only a few minutes to decide, so she went with what she thought was the best option.

I would definitely recommend this book! Note: It is the first in a series.

I loved this book. I liked how it was different from a lot of other shifter books I have read. It did bother me that the pack after taking these people out of their world expected them to just except the changes with no problems, plus make such a serious decision as to pick a mate right there and then, without time to get to know them at least for a few hours even!
Kristen has to pick between 2 brothers and while she finds both of them to be sexy as hell, she is more drawn to Marcus but he also kind of scares her with his temper. She has to make a decision right then and as she looks into the crowd the woman shifter who helped her as she woke up points towards Dorian, so that is who she chooses... did she make the right choice? How will she handle living with a man she doesn't even know. Plus she faces her first change. The book was great and I look forward to reading the rest of the series!!

Kristen has finally made it to the last day as a leader on a two week camp, she's hanging out to get home, to get away from the creepy guy who runs the camp and the bitchy girl Beverly, who has occupied Troy, the nicest guy there's time. After a big night of drinking, the three of them awake in pain surrounded by semi dressed men and women. The day gets more bizarre when they are told they are now part of a werewolf pack and must pick a mate. Kristen is chosen by two guys, and is forced to make a decision immediately on who she wants.

I was given an Authorized Reviewers Copy and chose to voluntarily read and review this book, and I loved it so much as soon as I finished the last page of this book I purchased the whole series.
If you enjoy shape shifter and paranormal stories, or girls that like the bad boy type romances, you will enjoy this book. I can't wait to finish the rest of the series now.

Overview: Kristin has just finished her camp counselor job for the summer and is hanging back to clean up with Beverly and Todd when the camp owner drugs them and feeds them to a pack of wolves. A second pack, in need of child-bearing aged women, save them and bring them into their home. Upon waking, Kristin learns that werewolves are real and two have chosen her as their mate. Under the gun to choose now, she picks one with the assistance of a natural pack member. Now she is regretting her choice as the first night of her turning is upon her and he is nowhere to be found.

Review: I love it. I hate that it is so short, but can't wait to read the next book! It keeps you on your toes, wondering if she made the right choice and if she is going to stick with it. It's full of suspense, comedy and steamy.

Excellent

I love to read any thing about wolf shifters. This is a excellent start, I started to read this story and I forgot about the time it's just that great. I am so impatient to read the next installment of this series, if the second part is in any way as great as the first part I know that I will not be disappointed I will be excited about reading all of the parts of this series. If you are a fan like myself who just love all kinds of shifter romance this is one for you to read, I really enjoyed this part.

Short

It was short and very fast moving. I actually dislike women like this chick. Letting someone away your decision only to regret it and try to back out. Don't know if I will read the second book.

Short but sweet. Camp counselor drugged and bitten then turned into wolfs. Another wolf pack fights and takes them in? There is more to it if you want to know more grab your copy and your favorite drink and turn the world off.

This book was ok. The concept was good but needed much more then what the storyline gave. I think this book would benefit from being one novel instead of a bunch of novellas.

I really enjoyed this story. Most girls want to be wanted I hope….But it is awesome to be wanted by Alpha’s…
Kristen had to face a world of werewolves with no fault of her own when she was bitten. The Lycans saved her but she had to accept becoming a wolf and add on their dying lineage. The night before she was to turn, she had to choose between two Alpha Brothers Markus and Dorian to be her mate for life. Although Markus and Kristen was attracted to each other from their first meeting, she chose the good boy this time being that she has had her share of bad boys. But not too long after she realized that she has chosen the wrong brother Dorian, who is a drunkard.
The male mate is supposed to be the protector. However, when it was Kristen’s time to change to wolf form, her mate was nowhere around. But Markus was there to support her through her first transition. The short time they spent together, the chemistry was everywhere between them. The two want to be together, but Dorian walks in on them and demands for his brother to turn her over to him!
Short and sweet!
I can’t wait for the next book to see if Dorian straightens up to keep his mate.

For being so short Craving the Alpha was actually quite enjoyable. It could had been more complex with bigger struggles and emotional depth. However considering of how short the story was I pretty much got the best of what I could get from the story.

I had wished for a more emotional turmoil since Kristen and every other campers life turned upside down in a matter of one night. I hoped there would had been resistance and that they hadn’t accepted their new way of life right of bat, especially being basically forced to accept a mate. These and the a bit too vulgar and detailed sex scene were my biggest issues with the story, but at the same time I do understand that being written as a short story there weren’t enough room.

I do believe that this idea and plot could have been really amazing had it been given the right length by depth, complexity and development. And by making it a full length book the personalities and characterization could also had improved a lot more too. Still, it did manage pretty well as a novella too and I am actually thinking about reading the next installment, which tells a lot about its intrigue.

Kristen James got a job at a summer camp as a counselor she had no idea how that would change the rest of her life. Only her and two other counselors are left to clean up and finish paperwork. They are attacked and taken. They learn that they were attacked by weremen and rescue by another clan they have all been bitten. Kristen is picked by the two future alphas of the clan. Now she must choose which one she wants. She chooses in part because of one of the woman who was with her when she woke up. Did she choose the right one? Things get more difficult for Kristen and she develops deep feelings for one of them. I enjoyed this book and want to read the rest of the series. I can’t wait to see what happens next between Kristen and the two future alphas. I will I like one guy over the other however I am eager to see how things play out.

Liked it but....

Kristen and her fellow counselors find themselves in a tricky situation. They've been drugged and bitten by a rouge pack of lycans. Now they are expected to choose a mate from and live happily ever after with the pack that saved them. Easier said than done, especially when you might have chosen the wrong mate. What's a girl to do?

This is part one of a steamy serial story. Despite liking it, I don't think I will seek the remaining chapters (acquired years ago and just digging it up) unless there is a complete edition. The editing leaves a lot to be desired.

**I voluntarily received an Advance Reader Copy of this book**

Summer camp councillors have a new criteria to meet. Good breeders. Oh, and sign me up! This first drama filled episode was something I really sunk my teeth into.

As in any good series, the cliffhanger at the end left me wanting more!

Kate Kent is one of the better paranormal romance authors, with the ability to fill in a backstory that you can truly visualize. I have read this series out of order, but I never forgot her characters or the events that led to their particular pairings. I recommend this series for anyone that wants some meat to their romance.

Wonderfully Steamy Werewolf Romance

In this first part of the series, I really enjoyed it and felt that it captivated my interest and had some solid character development. It definitely peaked my interest to read part 2.
