Cara Quinn wants her own happily ever after, not just those she thinks up for her characters and plot lines. When her neighbors and their bratty children move away, Cara wonders what type of new neighbors she might get. Will they be just as bad as the first? Or will a gorgeous younger man that’s into her take up residence?
She gets not one, but three.
Lovers for years, Teak, Cyprus, and Aspen can't help but be excited to meet their new neighbor. Cara is exactly what they want to complete their family. Now they just need to get Cara to see things their way. After everything that has happened to her, Cara doesn't want to jump into anything with the trio—hesitant to ruin their friendship she treasures.
Aspen, Cypress, and Teak go out of their way to woo Cara. They do everything they can think of to help her, but are reluctant to fully let her in. But their good intentions backfire and they may not be able to find a way out of their mess.
When Cara learns more about the trio, will they be able to ever have a chance at being together or will they all remain broken?
Erin is a born Chicagoan who decided to state hop a bit, given she works from home. She currently resides in Georgia with her pup, Lord Vader Flynn. With an eclectic and addictive personality, there isn’t much that doesn’t interest her or she won’t pour herself into if it catches her fancy. She has always been interested in the darker aspects of life and mythologies—especially vampires, shifters, the occult, and anything paranormal.
To date, she has published more paranormal books than she can keep up with the characters for, in different genres with dedicated readers who await each release to her numerous series under any of the three Flynn names she writes.
Really liked the guys in this book and the poly relationships. However, the reuse and recycle of the dogs death and the annoying neighbors from the first book with zero explanation had me confused and questioning if I was reading about the same character from the book 1 of the series. So either that was a mistake or a plot hole on the writing side of things, not sure, but it threw me for a loop and I had to lower the rating for that.
These are great little novellas but I'm a bit confused about what the premise of the series is. I just reread the series description which didn't help clarify anything and made me wonder what I am missing. Book one and two had suspiciously similar main characters, but every author can lean into certain personalities, so I didn't question it... Until book three where it became obvious every story has the same main character, named something different, falling in love with different paranormals. Even the parents of the main character[s] have the same personalities from book to book. This would make a great choose your own adventure, but as sequential books if is confusing. Oh well.
Ended really fast though. I've read nearly everything by this author now, and I'm assuming this was an earlier series. It's my least favourite of hers. There was a whole lot of potential character interaction that was left unexplored and the initial "problem" was a surprise with little to no build up, so, initially it seemed like an extreme over reaction. She was going bankrupt? What? When? Why? That was really poorly developed. I'm a huge fan of Erin's books, and this won't stop me from buying the 4 that I've not read yet. xx
😲😳😲😳 Absolutely fantastic !!!! This book had it all !! Funny😂😄 crying 😥😣, and so much love 😍😘 !!! Definitely recommend this book. I read all 3 in two days. I couldn't put this series down. But, now gonna try and at lead 4 hours of sleep because I gotta go work...
I didn’t mind this story at all - the FMC and the three MMCs were surprisingly relatable, and I liked a lot of the dynamics and realistic drama between them. The ending felt a bit rushed, but that’s pretty common with standalones. Overall, it was a nice, quick read from an author who usually writes much longer series, and I enjoyed it.
Shocker when you find out what paranormal the boys are but it was so much fun to read. Sad the series stopped like any junky I need more, I'm impacient that way. Can't wait to read more.
Thoroughly recommend this author. All her series have strong characters & detailed plots. Genuinely cant put them down until I finish all the available books.
Another fabulous story by Ms. Flynn! Cara is a writer who is alone and believes she is fine with it. Then along come three hot new neighbors. Teak, Cypress, and Aspen was looking at a house one day and saw Cara. She looked lost and in need of healing, who better to do that than they! I love the back story we find on the guys. I can't go into it without some major spoilers, so I won't. The love that blooms is intense as is the intimate scenes.
I am really enjoying this series. I cannot wait to see what comes next!
