It’s only when her niece comes to visit that excitement finally comes back into her life—along with a mystery she could have never predicted.
This contemporary powerful clean and wholesome women's saga second chance romance is page-turning with strong characters who are captivating and realistic, and world-building that is majestic with vibrantly colored sunrises and sunsets painted across the skies with beautiful Cobble Beach to escape and imagine your feet covered in soft sand with the sun beating down on you. This is a heartwarming story that has heartfelt emotions that will have readers needing Kleenex or Puffs to wipe the tears are they threaten to stream down their cheeks. There is a second chance romance for Dawn and Liam as they navigate through life after facing obstacles in their lives. Liam Gains guards his scarred heart by focusing on his five-star hotel, and his daughter, Lila. His ex-wife betrayed him, making him have no interest in another romance. Their journey is enthralling and adventurous as they begin navigating through secret passages, deciphering cryptic clues, and discovering love in the darkness of shadows, one of Liam's mother's heirlooms disappears, a phantom their is to blame. This is a story of intrigue that is engulfed with shenanigans and romance intertwining to uncover the mystery to the treasures hidden within the Summer Inn and discover what is beyond together. This book is breathtaking and alluring as Dawn and Liam work along side each other to track down the elusive phantom thief that will have readers on the edge of their seats from the suspense. This author, Amy, is extraordinary and knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with the Summer Inn on Plum Island/Cobble Beach and a second chance romance that is sure to take readers on an exhilarating ride into a world that is majestic, emotional, and unforgettable.

Is a sweet clean later in life, small town, mystery romance with a touch of suspense and no cliffhanger.
Some of the lines I really liked ----- “Maybe Sally wasn’t your one but the one you needed at the time,” ----- “Finding someone I can trust and that I know loves me for who I am as a person, not for who my family is." ------ “Always keep the ones you love close to your heart.” ----- Harper had slept in Dawn’s bed a time or two, and while Harper got a good night’s sleep, Dawn was always pushed, slapped, kicked, and used as another pillow by her niece. -------- ‘The shadows grow long, and so too does the list of unexplained misfortunes since the new walls rose. I fear what was meant to be a bastion of respite has become a harbor for darker deeds, unseen yet deeply felt.’” ----- “My father always said that pulling up your sleeves and showing your staff you are just as invested in getting things done as they are in building a good rapport,” Dawn told him. “He believed that it was imperative that as a boss, you knew what it took to do each job in the company.” ------
Who's behind the thefts at Summer Inn? Who's behind the kidnapping of Dawn? These and other questions will all be answered.
I love Dawn said Liam's story and highly recommend it. The books are all stand alone, but I recommend reading them in order. I can't wait for her next book to come out. I received a free ARC and this is my honest opinion.

I love all things Amy Rafferty and this does not disappoint, this is book six of seven in the Cobble Beach Romance Series. Almost everyone is on vacation from Plum Island for three weeks; except Dawn, Liam, his daughter Lila, and Aunt Betty. Dawn plans to get some writing done, on The Cobble Cove Mystery series. Prior to taking a shower she takes off her antique Cartier watch belonging to her grandmother. When she goes back to get it, it's gone. She calls Liam about it, but they can't find it. He tells her about others having things missing; the original hotel had been said to haunted, is their a ghost? Dawn's niece Harper comes to stay with her for awhile and makes fast friends with Lila. We have to mention Tiger, a cat they find injured on the side of the road. Liam makes Dawn an undercover manger; looking into the stolen items from the Inn, could it be an employee? As Dawn is using the mirror in her suite, she bumps it and it moves. She looks closer and notices their is a hidden passage behind it. She calls Liam right away and they go to check it out, they find some old journals and some maps. Is this how the thief is getting into the rooms to steal things? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I can't wait for the next book in the series!!!

Everyone had gone on the 3 week "Familymoon" to Europe. Dawn was pretty much alone on the Island except for Aunt Betty & Uncle Sam, and her friend Liam. So she planned to catch up on her personal writing, that she did on her own time. Taking a shower, then ordering dinner before she got settled in for the night to write. She went to the nightstand to put her watch back on. It WAS GONE!!!! She searched everywhere. It was the watch her Grandmother had given her (a vintage Cartier watch, yes worth a lot of money but more in sentimental value. She called the front desk and Liam appeared.
Well where is this leading???? We all know with Amy , no one knows till "The End."
Loved this on.

The Summer Inn at Plum Island is the sixth book in the Cobble Beach Romance Series and features the story of Dawn, a screenwriter, her niece (Harper}, and Liam, a single dad of a daughter (Lila} and manager/owner of the Summer Inn. A mystery arises as various items disappear at the Inn including Dawn's family heirloom watch. While Liam and Dawn set upon finding the thief, Harper and Lila take on a secret project of their own. This well written book is a wonderful read with its amazing characters, mystery, a rescued cat, past relationship difficulties, and a second chance at love. The final book in this excellent series is The Bodyguard on Plum Island..

This is book 7 and you won't be disappointed.
Dawn is finally going to write some ideas for the series. When she looks in her bedroom she finds her heirloom watch is missing. This act sets off a series of events that leads to the mystery of who is stealing hotel guest stuff and why.
Added into the theft is the arrival of Harper, Dawn's niece.
The mystery part of the novel revolves around the thefts, a kidnapping or two, explosion of a boat.
There are new characters introduced to Plum Island - Harper- Dawn's niece, Wade and Ben - Dawn's brother and best friend, several other people from Dawn's past.
The connection between Liam and Dawn is there and is being helped along by Lila and Harper and Aunt Betty.
This is a fun read with a mystery to solve and a love story yo explore.

Another great book in this series. It really keeps your interest. Loved the story and the continuous twists in the plot. The H and h are continuously facing challenges and figuring out what is happening and why. Besides the H has his daughter who is involved in the story along with her new friend, the h’s niece who has come to visit for the summer vacation. The story keeps moving with these 4 characters, and they all get involved in the story. Recommend this book to anyone who loves romance and mystery together. Enjoy the read and I recommend the previous books in the series.

Author Dawn, finds herself in lots of drama. Being the victim of hotel thefts, she works with Liam to try to get to the bottom of the mystery. Her niece, Harper and Liam’s daughter Lila set on a mission to try to bring Dawn’s writing to life and serve as matchmakers for Liam and Dawn.

Kidnappings, security, the arrival of Dawn’s brother complicates the situation. Who is responsible for the thefts? Will the kidnappers be revealed? What will happen to Tiger, Mrs Peter’s wealthy cat?

Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.

I’m not ready to leave Plum Island so I’m very happy to know we’ll get one more book. This series has been full of mystery, romance, questions, interesting characters, plot lines that interfere with sleep, and more than a few twists and surprises. Will one more book be enough to answer all our questions. or will we NEED more? The books will make you wonder if family money is worth it. I enjoyed Dawn and Liam’s adventures and look forward to the next adventure.

Amazing! Exciting! Suspenseful! I just finished the Summer Inn on Plum Island. The three descriptive words I used to begin this can't really describe how wonderful this book was. It was definitely another page-turning book. Amy has a way about her that draws the reader in and doesn't let them go until the last page. Dawn Vanderbilt and Liam Gains did just that in this book. The mystery and suspense behind their story keeps you glued to the book. This was another smash hit by Amy Rafferty.

Full of action, death threats, continually. Constantly changing story line, one has to keep on their toes to not miss an important clue. Amy has quite the imagination, again. I love following her books as there is always a thrill. We must not leave out the love interest also, in all the melodrama. Very good read.

A really good story. I would have given more stars, but there were too many errors. Better proofreading is my suggestion.
