~~2 IT WAS NOT THE WRITE STUFF FOR ME STARS~~
This book was clearly not for me. The cover was the first thing that caught my attention and the other thing that drew me in was... it was free. :)
It was rather boring and I'm not sure why I finished it. The only thing I can think of was that my OCD kicked in and I couldn't not finish it. I did notice that there's a second book in this series, but I think I'll pass on it. Just wasn't my cuppa.

In the latest from Tiffany King, we see a sexier side to her writing as we experience a story of a bright, quirky, yet insecure writer fall for the good-lookin’, ab-toting gorgeous cover model. This story is a coming together of two people living two very different kinds of lives, finding each other under unlikely circumstances.
Nicole spent her days and nights pounding the keyboard of her computer, putting stories to paper in hopes of continuing to live her dream. She was best known as NS Blake ...more

Okay, okay. Normally, I don't read New Adult. Hell, I didn't even like myself in my early 20's, why would I want to read about someone else's mistakes?
HOWEVER, I LOVED THIS BOOK! Loved it hard. Probably because Nicole reminded me so much of myself at that age. Although, I'd been married for 3 years by the time I was 22. (Yeah, I know. I started way young.) I liked that Nicole was a real person. She was flawed and insecure but still pretty damn grown up for a woman in college. She might be naive ...more

I am really getting into these books where the literary world that we know and love is at the forefront of the plot. I have often wondered what happens behind the scenes and I am loving getting this insight. I always wondered whether any of these authors fall for their cover models but throw in a 22 year old virgin author and you know that the fun factor is going to be huge! Thoroughly enjoyed this book and despite a reading schedule I have dived into book 2...oops! (full review to come)

Best Tiffany King book ever! Add to that the New Adult genre and I was so sold.
Gorgeous blue eyed Alec is the cover model for Nicole's new book. She really should have changed her clothes before she went to the shoot on the beach. Fresh from her writing cave, she was one hot mess. Her awkward state and his sexy good looks had her fumbling right into the waves. Guess that wet t-shirts is gonna show him she not wearing a bra. Could her day get worse? Oh, it could.

I'd give this one 3 1/2 solid stars. This one was a harder one for me to rate. On one hand I liked the story, but when I compare it to Tiffany Kings YA books, especially 'Wishing For Someday Soon' which is one of my favorites, this one just falls short.
One thing I normally love about her characters is the way she writes her boys. But in this one the main character, Alec, does something SO incredibly horrible in the first few chapters it made me lose all respect for him (even though the scene in ...more

I absolutely adore this book.
Nicole makes me look normal and that's hard to do :p
I laughed.
"My legs had as much substance as cooked spaghetti. If he wouldn't have been holding me up, I would have fallen at his feet in a puddle."
I cried.
"The emotion I was feeling for him were as foreign to me as the Creole dishes we had eaten for lunch. Not to mention, it was too soon. I could be setting myself up for the biggest disappointment of my life."
I got pissed off.

It's no secret Tiffany is one of my favorite authors. So why in the world I waited as long as I did to read this... I don't even know! This book really sets itself apart from most other romances, because of how much I could relate to it! Well, not the finding an incredibly hot model part. Our main character is an indie author! As a blogger, I've worked very closely with several indie authors and had the immense privilege of hanging out with several of them this past summer at a conference!

Refreshing! A palate cleanse for your literately tongue. Tiffany has created a witty yet romantic story that will keep you laughing while you swoon. Nicole and Alec are adorable and even though their not so adorable meet and greet would leave any woman cringing, you can’t help but fall for both of them.

This was just okay for me. It started off really good, I instantly liked the heroine. I liked all of the characters. There were some funny moments but it quickly got boring. Nothing really happens in the book and the heroine's thoughts were long winded. I found myself skimming, looking for just the convos.
Overall, it was alright. It was free so I won't complain too much. It's rare that I get a free book and actually like any of it. It gave me something to read while I was looking for somethi ...more

This book was not as good as I thought it would be. I got my hopes up too high and was let down. I'm not saying it was bad, it just left me a little disappointed. It was funny and fun and I wanted angsty and sexy. It also bugs me when the guys a total buttwipe and the chick still can't keep her panties dry. So anyways, proceed with caution. :) ...more

Okay, okay.
It seems that I'm the only one who didn't like that much this book.
These are my reasons...
First of all, I HATE when the heroine's so weak! I hate it!
Alec would say "go there" and there she'd go, he'd say "come here" and then she'd come. Why did the author make her this way? Why?!

Second: Alec was an asshole. Fine, I'm exaggerating, but still. I actually dislike him from the first moment. There are some assholes in other books, and yet they make you fall in love with them, somehow. B ...more

For many years now I have had a serious Author Crush on Tiffany King (It's okay she knows)
When I read the blurb, I wanted to read this RIGHT THEN! I love the whole concept of the story. I mean, come on you have a virgin and a hot guy, what could go wrong?
Then I stopped .... a virgin? .... a hot guy? .... hasn't this been done a million times? I became worried that maybe this was going to be too 'cookie-cutter'.

ARC in exchange for a honest review...
Tiffany is one of the first author's books I fell in love with because of how fun and sweet her stories are. I have lost count of how many of her Amazing books I have read and will continue to read as long as she keeps writing.
We have Nicole who is quirky, awkward, and can be quite clumsy with an awesome sense of humor. She writes novels filled with romance, steam, and schmexy times but sadly she is lacking all these things in her own real life until she me ...more

From all of the high reviews, I know I am in the minority. I wonder
if I read the same book.
I found her writing very tedious and instead of moving the story along it just made me feel disconnected with the characters and plot.
Overall the story just seemed to be so immature.
The main sticking points I had with the story were the continuous
use of derogatory names by Nicole and Olivia.
Why the need to call each other slut bags, and whores ?

I just adored this love story. It was cute, funny, and steamy. There were definitely some serious notes I didn't see coming at all, but best of all was the completely awkwardly adorable heroine that I totally related to. (I especially love the ode to Potter with a cat named Severus...Hehe)

According to Amazon, I originally one-clicked this novel on November 27, 2014. That was so long ago, wow! Finally last weekend, I was in the mood for a novel with a
virgin romance author trope
and dove in.

Okay I loved the premise of this book and thought it would be a favorite of mine. I was so wrong. The first five chapters the author tries so hard to be funny it's painful to read. However after that the book got really good and I thought it had redeemed itself. Then... spoiler... at 70% it comes out he has a kid! A freaking kid from a one night stand that turned crazy! This story went from good to not so good actually.
When I started reading it, I was really into the story. No not just because of the six-pack on the cover (though I have to admit, it might have caught my eyes for a minute there), but because the plot seemed quite even though a little predictable. I really liked Nicole's character and voice (I really liked her self-deprecating, sarcastic comments), the writing style, the pace of the story, ...more
