It is twenty-something pages of short stories with not short impact. I've read some of these online over the last year as I became more familiar with shorter stories. As I see them now all collected together in a book, I realize they’ve been serving as the standard by which I judge all flash fiction pieces. The stories in this collection demonstrate that Tatiana is a driven author and that she is committed to reporting back from wherever that drive takes her with unapologetic hone

Some of the writing is vague, or difficult to understand initially but it never got in the way of my enjoying the stories and seems to have been done intentionally to force a slower, more intentional reading style. I found myself rereading passages, and in a few cases whole stories, multiple times just to savor them again. The book and stories are extremely short, but each one packs more punch than it might seem at f ...more
