"I stared at our entwined fingers. His, calloused and stained with color. Mine, nails bitten to the quick and scarred. We had lived two parallel existences yet somehow fate brought us together."

To the outside world I’m a normal twenty three year old woman - brown hair with caramel colored highlights, gray blue eyes and French manicured tips. What they don’t see are the ma

“I had an impenetrable barbed wire fence wrapped around my heart….My untrusting nature was a second skin. Andrew wasn’t going to change that.”

Oh, me feels! I really LOVED the depth and versatile diversity of Jagged Love!!

For me, it emoted themes of unconditional love, trust, the destruction of drug abuse, family, and sensation of longing to have a home to ca

Jagged Love is a standalone New Adult Contemporary Romance told in first person point of view from the perspective of the heroine, Haven. It’s a story that chronicles two people with similar, yet different pasts that they must navigate and face before being able to find happiness, both with themselves and each other.

This is the first time I have read a book from this author and after Jagged Love I will definitely be reading more from this author. Jagged Love is written so well that I was pulled into Haven’s story right from the first page. I felt the character. Haven was easy to connect with and I found her relatable. I demolished this book in one sitting. I felt both characters pain and happiness from their current and past lives. Jagged Love is told in Haven’s POV and fo

What can I say about Haven and Andrew?!?! I loved these characters!! Haven comes from a background of a drug-addict mother and an absent father. She grew up having to take care of herself and with the determination to keep from falling victim to the life of her mother. Haven works hard at 2 jobs to save money so that she can get herself out of Detroit and get away from her past. Andrew grew up in the best of homes, rich, smart, creative, he has dabbled in a little bit of everything. When they me ...more

So, this is going to be a very short review, because the book was short and because I don't have much to say.

I had some expectations when I started reading this and they weren't satisfied. I felt that through the whole book everything went fast: the dialogue, the relationship between the main characters, the past uncovering and unwrapping of dark secrets. I felt nothing, no emotion, I wasn't eager to find out, I couldn't ge

I love this author. She has a way with words. One of the things I truly love about her books is the pace. There is never too much detail to drag you down and slow your pace. I love the stories and characters she creates. It doesn't matter what their story is, you are instantly hooked.

As for this book, it is no different. I was instantly drawn to her characters. I loved the writing style and couldn't put the book down. Another thing I love about this book... the ending. I loved how it ended happ

I received this for an honest review... This was an enjoyable read.. I found myself hooked into the story... Haven has had a hard life of watching her mom go from man to man and finally dieing of an overdose when Haven was 23. She now is working 2 dead end jobs to make ends meet. She meets Andrew when he saves her from a customer who gets into her face at her coffee shop job. Andrew is a local artist who has money.
This for me was an enjoyable read and one I definitely enjoyed.

The story of Haven and Andrew was raw, heartbreaking and I loved every minute of it. Haven and Andrew both had horrific pasts and even as they tried to overcome them something kept pulling them back playing with their minds and their decision making. I thought it was beautiful how these two people were able to face their demons and take a chance at happiness. I felt like these characters were real and their stories were so touching that I could not put it down. This is not your typical romance. ...more

I loved the way this book was written. I was able to follow along with the characters and their story. Both characters had pasts and issues to overcome to be together. As their story unfolded, I laughed and cried with them. I did a lot of sniffling at the end! A very well written book.

Andrew Foster is a golden boy with a Midas touch...a modern day renaissance man. Success comes easily to him in everything he tries. Blessed with swoon worthy looks, a wealthy loving family and a talent for art, it would seem Andrew has it all. Haven McClain, on the other hand, has lived a life filled with hard knocks. Determination, a gutsy personality and a dream of leaving Detroit behind have allowed Haven to survive. When Andrew and Haven meet, their story seems on track f

Well I read this book in a day, just because I didn't want to stop until I found out how the story ended!

This book is about Haven who had the awful junkie mother, she was abused and has the scars to prove it.

She is getting through life one day at a time with plans to leave Detroit and travel. She works 2 jobs and has saved half of what she needs to leave.

Then her sister shows up and all her plans go out the window.

She meets Andrew one day when he saves her from being attacked b

I really liked this book. It was full of mystery, suspense, action, drama, angst, steam, and had one swoonworthy hero who will always be there to catch you when you fall. This book kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more. Filled with moments of passion, anger, sadness, and laughter, get ready for a seriously crazy ride that will leave you wanting more at the end.

This is Haven and Andrew's story. Growing up a horrid childhood, Haven is trying to make ends meet and just make it day to

Nicole gives us an experience of love that is rough and jagged around the edges. Haven is a fiercely independent woman who's raised and relied on herself from a young age. She's only got herself, a step-sister, and her friends she's met through work. Andrew is a mystery emotionally, but physically has a put together persona. Haven lacks trust due to her upbringing and rightfully so doubts any positives that cross her path

This story has a little bit of everything from suspense and intrigue to the emotional journey of finding oneself. Haven had a rough childhood growing up and she got out of her mother's house as soon as she could. Her mother was a drug addict who bounced around from men to men, leeching money from them. Poor Haven was just along for the ride.

Andrew did not have a rough childhood. In fact, the comes from a pretty stable, normal upbringing. However, he had a bad relationship and is a bit standoffis

Reviewed for A Wanton Book Lover Blog:

Jagged Love follows the journey of Haven and Andrew’s relationship from the beginning to the end. Haven has had a rough life. Because of this, she is not very trusting. While working at a coffee shop, she meets Andrew when he stands-up for her against a rude customer. Andrew invites Haven to his art show later in the week. Andrew on the other hand has had it easy. Although intensively private, Andrew had taken a bit step just invited Haven to her art opening

This wa a quick read, I really enjoyed it.
Haven hasn't had the perfect role model for life, her went through men for money, became a drug addict and died from an over dose. Haven was left to fend for herself and with an impression not to trust anyone or believe in love til Andrew.
while haven was at work a rowdy customer crossed the line and Andrew came to the rescue. He has an instant connection to Haven. Haven is big on be

I really wanted to love this book, but I didn't. I could not connect with these characters. They just seemed too far removed. I think part of the problem was the editing. There was missing words, jumbled sentences, wrong words in places, repeated words, and missing punctuation. It takes something away from the story when you have to keep going back to reread it to figure out what it is suppose to say. If you are someone who can look past that, then this would probably be an enjoyable read for yo ...more
