As someone who has felt the healing power of running and formed precious friendships with other runners, I found this book heartwarming and relatable. I saw pieces of myself in several of the characters and a warm nostalgia of the Chicago running community.

A great first novel from M Rae!

I couldn't put this one down. Maybe the timing was just right (since I started getting back into running this summer) but it is also beautifully written. It is like short stories that are all somewhat connected together and through the theme of running.
The last sentence of the book was my favorite: "There is no finer metaphor for this life than the journey of the runner. When she runs, she shows us the strength that lies in each of us, if only we keep our feet, and our hearts, moving forward."

Well written book that threads together the lives of several women through running.
