3.5 but I'm rounding up. Sweet fated mates/second chance OMV. There's some hockey involved but not a lot of it. No OM/OW drama, no third act breakup. There's a second chance storyline and it was pretty cute. She talked a big game about grovel but ultimately accepted him back with very little fuss.
The big difference between this (where I accepted it), and other books that do it (where I still despise it), was the MMC. He truly only wanted her his entire life, and there were very clear signs of that even during their separation. And as soon as she was back in his life, he made efforts to make the past right. Not sure how much longee he would have waited to do that if she hadn't have happened to come back into his life though...

It's a quick, easy OV read. It felt a little off I think because I didn't feel their connection fully. There wasn't any build up to it and the conflict wasn't really conflict at all.

This was such a fun little read—super quick, super cute. I love the scent-match and instant-love trope in omegaverse, and this book totally delivered on that front.
Mandy and Axel? Loved their dynamic. They clicked so well, and it made the story feel extra sweet. My only gripe: I wanted way more groveling from Chase. Maddy told him he’d have to work for it, and then… she folded kinda fast. Not a dealbreaker, but I was ready for some serious groveling that never fully showed up.
Overall, it’s a solid read—spicy, swoony, and fun. Just missing a little extra oomph in the tension department.

This is a short and sweet omegaverse. It is very low angst. Axel was easily my favorite character of them all. He was so sweet and respectful.
I personally had a hard time really getting into or connecting to the story. It felt like it needed something to push the storyline along more. I also wish she made Chase earn it like she said she would. He did some sweet things but not much before she was already leaning in. This is all my opinion.
All in all. I'm looking forward to more of this series to see how the team turns things around.

This book was a delightful and quick read. It effortlessly blended two of my favorite genres: the omegaverse and hockey. The instant connection between Mandy and Axel was captivating, while Mandy and Chase’s connection was complicated due to their past. Axel is a golden retriever boyfriend, and his nickname for Mandy, Mally, due to her marshmallow scent, was adorable. Chase, on the other hand, uses the cute nickname he used for her back in high school. He made amends for the things that had driven them apart back then. The ending was a surprise that made me smile like a fool. I’m eagerly looking forward to reading the rest of the series as they are released.

Okay so I really liked this one. I loved that there wasn’t really any angst - I normally go for angst-y and dark reads but my panic and anxiety disorders have had me going through it lately so it was really nice to not have any conflict really in this book. 🥰🖤
The reason why this isn’t a five star is the random time jumps from chapter to chapter with little detail setting up for that change. Getting so engrossed in a chapter just for the next to be days, weeks or months different without a heads up (ie. “One week later” at the beginning of a changing next chapter would have made it make more sense.)
With that said, it wasn’t too confusing. It was more like we were missing out on pieces of the story. But, with the size of the book it makes sense.
I loved her alpha’s. I wish we were able to see more of Chase’s personality though.

Knot Your Pucking Mate is an absolute delight from start to finish. The author blends humor, heat, and heartfelt emotion in a way that makes the story impossible to put down. The chemistry between the FMC and MMCs sparks from their very first interaction, and the banter is exactly what you want in a rom-com. Witty, charming, and occasionally laugh-out-loud chaotic.
Mandy is a romance author who is trying to break into the hockey romance world. Axel is a professional hockey player who enjoys reading romance books. Chase is another professional hockey player who was part of Mandy’s past. The book was a good and quick read. No third-act breakup, but lots of groveling after a miscommunication.
I have been enjoying the Knotty Puckers Universe so far. This is the second book in the series, following Puck My Life by Tea Ravine. I can’t wait to read the third in the series. I'm hoping someone is writing the HEA for Marilyn.

All in the name of research, this story exudes the classics, fated mates, friends to lovers, cute-meet and so much more. The characters are written with sincerity and heart and I enjoyed reading their insecurities, their desires and their need for pack. The hockey side of things seemed to take a backseat to the romance, which I didn't mind as these two players seemed to have their heads on straight, which was a huge contrast to Book One. This book was a quick, easy read and I highly recommend.

This was a sweet romance. It was very fast and did leave me wanting more from it. There was definitely a chance for more but what we did get was cute.
Mandy is a romance write and was talked into writing a hockey romance but she knows nothing about the sport. She makes a deal with the local hockey team that allows her to get the knowledge she needed to make her book a success.
What she didn't expect was the first hockey player she ever meets to be her scent match. They connect quickly and she learns he has one pack mate that she needs to meet. Turns out she knows him under a different name and he broke her heart.
I enjoyed the big extravagant date he planned to get back into her good graces but I honestly thought we were going to get more grovel.
Overall it was a very sweet MFM story with scent matched mates.

This is the second book in the Knotty Puckers: A Hockey omegaverse. Each book is written by a different but amazing author. Many of my favorite authors have written a book for this series so I am very excited to read this series.This was my first time reading a Roxy Leigh book and it will not be the last.
I loved the story, the backstory and the characters. I especially loved the premise of this story. The FMC is an author researching hockey to write a hockey romance. And the MMCs, they are hot, athletic and protective. I am sure when they leave the rink a huge puddle of water with the level of their steaminess!

This is a lovely, quick read which combines sweet, a little spice, low angst and two great tropes: omegaverse and hockey! Really enjoyed Mandy's story from start to finish, easily can read in one sitting. Axel and Chase had nice, contrasting personalities but complimented each other well with Mandy. Axel had a more sweet, caring personality while Chase was more working hard to redeem his past with Mandy. I did love Chase's gesture for forgiveness but it could seem like he didn't grovel enough. Also two words that summarise this book: Hockey butts!
Can easily recommend this as a standalone read and it's part of a multi-author series so can discover some new authors!

Super sweet and spicy and fun omegaverse with scent matches and second chances. Mandy decides to write a hockey romance, but she doesn’t know anything about hockey. When she gets paired up with Axel, and secondarily to his pack mate, Chase, Mandy freaks out after discovering just how perfect they are for each other. They go out together and work through Mandy’s feelings. When it’s time to meet Chase, Mandy is taken completely by surprise with the blast from her past. It takes a little work, but the three of them are able to work through their differences and toward their happily ever after. Loved it!

Mandy stepping into the hockey world for book research was super cute, and the instant chemistry with Axel made their connection easy to root for. Chase adds tension and history, and their contrasting personalities balance each other so well.

It's a sweet/fast omegaverse. I have a feeling the whole series is going to be on the sweeter side. At least that's how the first two books went. However, I think it was solid overall. I just wish we had more struggle and payoff because we leave a lot unanswered or just swept under the rug. Like Chase's parents. I get why they were needed, but I wish we had some follow-up with them since they are so important to his and Mandy's relationship. However, that being said, it was a good book, and I'm curious to see where we go from here. I think I preferred this one over the first one because it was a faster read, and it kind of makes what happened make sense.

Such a sweet and spicy read! Mandy, Axel, and Chase were a joy to read about. I loved watching their romance unfold. Axel was all-in from the get-go, and who doesn't love a romance loving man?! Chase had his ups and downs, and learning about the history between him and Mandy was heartbreaking, but so worth it to get them to their HEA. I enjoyed reading about a romance author getting so involved to learn more about "hockey butts" to break into sports romance. This book was funny, spicy, sweet, and oh so worth the read! I highly recommend!

Super cute sports romcom omegaverse, with good spice. Two words: hockey butts. LOL. Yes, this is used a lot. Love the characters, and how they all fit together. Axel is adorable and outrageously funny. Some angst, but it melded in with the story perfectly. It wasn’t over the top angst. I’ve read two of this series so far, and both have been excellent. Looking forward to the others! And I am looking forward to reading more from this author. That’s what is so brilliant about a multi author series. You get to try new authors.

I'm definitely a sucker for the hockey romance. And omegaverse. Which is why I picked this up.
I gave this 3 stars (rather than 4) because I liked it BUT...it was a bit predictable and the second-chance-romance was eh. But I'm picky when it comes to that.

Knot Your Pucking Mate is a very low-angst MFM hockey omegaverse with fated mates and second chances. There’s not much friction or obstacles aside from the nature of the second chance romance, making this quite a sweet romance. There’s not a ton of hockey, but I did enjoy the aspect of our FMC being a romance author, which maybe gives us a little insight into how our favorite indie authors go through phases of inspiration and distraction, how they learn about technicalities to make their stories all the more realistic, how they navigate marketing and promoting their books. If you’re wanting a sweet romance with little stress and a lot of swooning, you’re going to love this one!

I don't know. Did she actually learn anything about the game? Was it discussed when that happened? I don't recall that happening. And if that is the whole premise of the book shouldn't that have happened.

I loved this short hockey omegaverse!!
Mandy is a romance author who is encouraged to write a hockey romance by her friend. Together they head to the rink where Marilyn offers to pair her with two team members in order to learn about the game and help PR of the team.
Axel and Chase are pack mates on the hockey team that Marilyn pairs Mandy up with. Axel and Mandy hit it off from the start but when she is introduced to Axel pasts are revealed!!!

I really enjoyed this! A short sweet second chance and meet cute? Not normally my preferred reads but I'm so happy I didn't let that stop me. I think the only 'bad' thing I can say about this is that I wish it were longer! Even saying that the story is definitely complete, there was nothing left needing further exploration I just wanted more cute dates. The story draws you in and holds on tight. I honestly picked this up and couldn't put it down, finished in about 2 and a half hours.

This was a sweet addition to he Knotty Puckers Universe. If you are looking for a book with tender comforting and low angst, this might be the book for you. While this is a fast-paced story, I felt its brevity leased any true emotional impact. I wish we had had more time truly delving into them getting to know one another and earning a grater understanding of each character’s motivations.

She’s a indie writer and a successful one her friend tells her to write about ice hockey players butts so she goes with her friend and Marilyn suggests that she hangs out with an alpha to understand the gain more and she agrees. Went to a surprise that she finds out he’s her second match and not only that her true love chase is his pack mate and her scent match. She will never forgive Chase for what he did leaving her alone at the prom, but hopefully in time she will forgive him.

I loved this book. The characters and story were so sweet. I normally don’t like second chance romances but the author did it in a way that I could get behind. Only critique is that with the FMC needing to learn about hockey for her job there was very little that about hockey and the other players. It would have been nice to have some really good side characters.

This was a very cute omegaverse story. It's about fated mates and hockey which had some drama and spice!! I loved the instant chemistry between Mandy and Axel and the history with Chase. This is the 2nd story in the Knotty Puckers series and I'm excited to see all the different authors coming together to continue this series. I would definitely recommend!
