Married with two teenaged daughters I love to read anything romance I can get my hands on especially if there's an alpha male involved.

I’m sorry, I really wanted to like this book. It was definitely insta-lust/love which I normally enjoy. It was supposed to have an OTT possessive alpha hero and a decent heroine. I feel jipped.

I started out liking the heroine, Gabby. She seemed a bit sassy but sensitive too. She was giving it right back to Callun. The attraction between the two was smoking hot. Then it started to go downhill. She turned into a wishy-washy blubbering mess! She gave me whiplash so bad I think I need a neck brace.
And don’t even get me started on how many times she blushes or gets embarrassed. WTF is that?
She argued over every damn thing Callun did. She didn’t want him buying her things, wanted to pay her own way and not come across as a gold-digger. I’m all for strong independent women but give me a break! Enough already!

Callun does a really dick move. I was pissed. Gabby was pissed. She had every right to be. He was dumb. But at what point do you forgive someone you love? She would not let it go. She kept on and on punishing him and crying over it. When confronted with it, what does she do? She runs to the bathroom crying, embarrassed. Grow some balls girl and kick him in the nuts! Or better yet, slap the other bitch into next week! Just get the fuck over it already! At 97% she’s still remembering what he did…

And if that all wasn’t enough, she jumped to so many conclusions she could have won a damn gold medal in the Olympics. Every single silence or blank expression from Callun, she would get the wrong idea and assume the worst. Open your mouth and TALK for goodness sake!

I really wish we’d had Callun’s POV. He was a little bit too OTT sometimes. I usually like that but there were a few times I worried for Gabby’s safety. He never physically hurt her, other than a few hot spankings that she obviously enjoyed but from only her POV he seemed scary. By the time it was over, I was glad. I just wasn’t invested in them as a couple anymore. I just didn’t care.

I'm not sure I can read book 2 if Gabby is still so damn annoying...

"I’ve only ever had two lovers in my life and they weren’t the best experiences a girl could have. I’ve never even had an organism before. But this, him, and the feelings he arouses in me are pure haven."

The writing was soooooo bad. All the characters talked and acted like they were 12 yrs old. I would not be surprised if this was WRITTEN by a 12 yr old.

Sexy and sweet insta-love romance between obsessed alpha H and self-contained Irish h. Low angst except for one incident I mention in safety spoiler.

Recommended for readers who like crazy in love alpha H's who go after the h with everything in them:)

Safety:

I also want to add that the writing quality wasn't out of this world or anything - it was readable, though some homophone typos were hilarious - messages/massages, steaks/stakes, orgasms/organisms(LOL!)

I recently picked up this book as an Amazon freebie, and while it is by no means perfect, I found it to be perfect for me. It's character driven with relatively low angst, and best of all, it features an OTT possessive alpha male who falls into insta-lust with the heroine and never looks back.

The story focuses on billionaire Callum and his pursuit of newly transplanted Irish gal, Gabby. Their relationship starts out with what Gabby thinks is a one night stand, but she is mistaken. Callum is immediately possessive of Gabby and very demanding of her, but I also liked that it took them some time to build up to love. Actually, the whole book is focused on their ups and downs as they negotiate how to find love together, and I rather enjoyed seeing this aspect of their relationship unfold.

There is a bit of issue with time passing, where a new chapter suddenly jumps a month or two into the future and daily minutiae is overlooked while the reader is informed about what has happened within their budding romance, but it's all well explained. There are also some editing errors and mixing of homophones, but overall this book was better edited than a lot of others I've read, so I don't consider this a major drawback. Finally, while this book reads as a standalone, there is a note at the end that Callum's and Gabby's story is to be continued, so I am anxiously awaiting to find out more about these two, along with the wonderful secondary characters as well. Mags Timmons is now on my radar, and I will be watching for more of her work.

I picked this up quite by accident, believing I was getting something else. Like...a book. Not so.

Finding Love in New York is the nearly unreadable debut novel of Mags Timmons. Riddled with errors of every variety (including but not limited to: run-on sentences, missing punctuation, inappropriate punctuation [special mention here of a disturbing penchant for using commas where there should be periods], poor formatting, and poor dialogue), I can't believe an editor so much as glanced at the blurb - which is a red flag all on its own.

Had this been a 99 cent book, I might have rolled my eyes and walked away, but as of this review, the cost is $6.99.

I can't recommend this to anyone. In fact, I'd strongly encourage the author to yank this and send it to even one honest beta.

DNF at 40%.

I've tried, not once but many times. It just does not work out for me.
The main characters are so immature, annoying as hell and frankly said the argue all the time, then have sex and all is rainbows and flowers.
Also H takes behind h's back his ex to this charity event and h finds out about it in the news paper! As if that's not bad enough, he makes this ridicules excuse that he only wanted to protect her, since he doesn't think she strong enough to face the harpies. I mean, really! Had it been my BF, I'd have funched him in the face and left his sorry ass! Gosh, I'm so angry just thinking about it.

Clearly this one is not my cup of tea.

Alpha: There's what Ava in KA's Rock Chick Revenge refers to as "sexy bossy" (meaning Luke) and then there's over the top alpha Callum in this story who takes alpha to a whole other level bordering on scary. That and the poor editing made this one just an okay read. With only a HFN ending evidently there's more to come for this couple in the next book.

I loved the H; he was so dominant, jealous, possessive, and protective. The sex was HOT but it was a little too frequent. I found the h annoying. She had low self-esteem and constantly had doubts about her looks. Every woman was drop dead gorgeous and catty. The H did something stupid and the h forgave him way too quickly. She should have made him work for it but she rolled right over.

An okay romance between an Irish girl who falls for her dominant, alpha male of a boss. Lots of editing and spelling errors. She had a great "organism" and the "metre d" seated them several times.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review..

A very sexy read! a little shorter than I was expecting and it finished to quickly.
I really enjoyed the story of Gabby and Callum the interaction between them was thrilling and fresh. The story had elements of dominant behaviour but that made for a more interesting read. Yes Callum had expectations and wanted to control Gabby, but only because he wanted her all to himself not because of a complete caveman "ugg me man, you woman" mentality, but genuinely, because of the love he felt for her!
I really like how Gabby was able to find her inner strength as this story progressed, gaining the ability to match Callum for whit and sarcasm, in and out of the bedroom! but also to stand up for herself with others and their attempts to drag her down with their bitchiness...

I would like to hear more about Callum and Gabby as well as more on Gabby's best friend Jen and her relationship with Paul!!

On the down side yes there were a few editing errors, simple spelling mistakes and limited punctuation, but I only found them slightly distracting.
Get lost in the story not the mistakes and enjoy a fun sexy read!!

Hot and steamy romantic read. When Callum sees Gabby he know that he wants her and he goes after what he wants. Gabby feels a strong connection to Callum but thinks he is moving to fast. They can't deny the attraction between them. Their romance moves swift and both of them fall hard. Callum tries to protect Gabby but learns that sometimes by doing that he hurts her. Gabby is a strong women that fights for Callum even when he does hurt her. Even thought Callum is possessive he has a romantic streak that is so loving.

I liked that Ms. Timmons did not forget the secondary characters in this book and did a great job of developing their story also. Great read where two people fight for their love and don't let anything stand in their way. Contain some hot and steamy love scenes along with some great fights that lead to more hot and steamy love scenes.

I received a gift copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book was frustrating beyond belief. Callum was possessive and controlling and not in a sexy way, but in a one step away from abusive way. He was thoughtless. There was a bunch of Sex at inappropriate times. Gabby lets sex overcome rational thinking, and no problems are resolved. She gives in way to easily, and lets him run all over her. Both act Childish. She lets him turn things on her and make her feel guilty when he was the one in the wrong. I want to bang my head against the wall. Gabby is always crying. By 65% I wanted to throw my kindle. Everybody always has to assure Gabby of Callum's feelings, and Callum isn't being reassuring with his actions. He is being hurtful, and Gabby makes her feelings known, though in a childish manner. But Gabby is also an insecure mess.

This book was recommended by my fave book blogger, but I don't see what she saw in this book. I really didn't like it. Couldn't stand the characters.

This book was given to me by Mags in return for an honest Review.

I started this book on Saturday Evening and Finished it on Sunday. I just couldn't get myself to put it down.

I loved the attraction between Gabby and Cullen and just how from the moment they saw each other they just couldn't get enough of each other.
The fights felt real and I related to that, Cullen not wanting a guy to look her his girl or the dress she has on is to hot.

This book is what a real relationship is about, hot with fights and love.

Applause to Mags, well done for your first novel, I am impressed.

Ps I don't like to read R rated books but this one was worth it.

There were a lot of mistakes, sometimes it was just hard to read. The passing of time was simply not well executed. You read and at some point you're like: two months have passed? What? You get the information that some time have passed but nothing more. The characters seemed too flat, not captivating and the ending was, for me, too abrupt; some of the issues were not resolved. Despite all of the cons there were also few good things. The story was a quick read with opportunity to have a laugh.

Loved this story and for one main reason...CALLUM! He is the ideal alpha-male! He can be a little mean and very arrogant at times but you still love him. I found Gabby to immature at times but overall I loved their relationships and enjoyed reading their fights and of course their make-ups:) I'm looking forward to part two and hope it comes out soon!

Very sexy book

Very sexy book! I enjoyed the story, but didn't always like how mean Callum could get. I enjoyed the sex scenes...there's a lot, but a little more rough than what I expected. Very few errors but just a few I noticed. It didn't deter from the story, though. If you're looking for something to heat you up, you've found the right book!
