Soooo Not A Keeper! . . .
This book seemed promising, ratings were high and the cover looked great. However, the story was too crude for me to get through and the plot was obviously cliche. Now I rarely stop reading a book, but I couldn't continue with the story after the third sex scene occurred in a matter of 11 chapters and the main characters had only met once for less than 5 mins.

It was Lucy’s destiny as a Keeper to be the last line of defense against Reapers out to steal the souls of the dead. It was also her destiny to be the prophesied Keeper to put an end to the soul-sucking Reapers. Little did she know, there would be one Reaper who could steal her heart and his mission was to end her life.

I just loved this book! I’m so happy I have both the book and the audiobook. My favorite setup are books that have graveyard scenes. I loved how the author does the souls after death. The auras the main character could see are beautiful. Lucy finds out she is the Chosen One. Now all the Reapers want her dead. Just because she is the one to end them doesn’t mean it involves killing them all. Well, I think it will be because her and the head Reaper, Jack, hooked up. After all, she only wats to liv

I had to stretch to give this a three. The idea behind the book is a good one Reapers, who feed off souls, versus Keepers who protect them .Then there was the prophecy that made Lucy Mae the keeper to end all reapers. Her. father dies, and her life is turned upside down. The reaper arrives, a royal son at that, named Jack. He only has to kill one college student. He finds himself attracted instead. This book has way to much sex. Jack sleeps with anything that walks, and has a foul mouth. All the

This book is so different from anything I've read lately. You've got Reapers that survive on souls, & the Keepers who have sworn to protect the souls. They have been enemies since, well forever. Until...Jack walked in for a donut. Who knew their whole world to be turned upside down with one simple touch? Ok...I seriously could not put this book down!
The character's personalities are as dazzling as their auras, their sarcasm contagious, & the possibilities unlimited.

Cliched? Yeah, but I liked it anyway.
Some people hate the swearing in this book, I actually found the politically incorrect YA language... refreshing;-)

I really wanted to like this book. The story blurb was interesting & seemed promising. And there were 2 POVs. However, I just could not continue. Partly cuz the author decided to include every.single.detail. I really don't care if the main character uses irish spring soap or some kind of soap to smell nice, lathers well or comes out on the plush bath mat, drying himself. Really, not needed. It drags the book and takes forever to get to the point. I went through several chapters without ...more

This was a decent read. I was surprised by all the sex in it. That was because I thought his was a YA book. I liked how Jack was willing to stand up to his mother in the end. I was also glad to see that he wasn't as evil as the rest of the Reapers. I did like how Lucy's family was willing to stick up for her. Although, I didn't care for her brother with a drinking problem. He will do something stupid eventually and things will get bad. I already own the next book so I will continue on and see ho

This is the first book in an intriguing NA series. I enjoyed it.
I downloaded this on to my Kindle, but due to time issues was not able to read it. So when the author offered me a complimentary code for an audiobook copy in return for an honest review, I gladly accepted.

This book is about just what the title says Keepers (soul protectors) vs Reapers (soul suckers/stealers). Our two lead people are Jack a reaper and Lucy a young keeper who has just lost her father. I feel in love with Lucy her quick wit and overall attitude had me laughing though out. Jack was a hard one for me to love. He has a lot of issues but you will learn why (mommy issues).

While I have some of this author's other books on my TBR, I haven't yet had a chance to read any of her other work. But if the rest is as good as Keeper vs Reaper, I think I'm going to be pretty darn happy with her books.

What a great book by Jennifer Malone Wright. This is the first book that I have read by her but I am completely hooked. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. This book has some drama, love, action, and of course lust. You get taken from the very beginning and you have to stay until it’s over. I have to admit that there are parts where I cried, where I smiled, and even laughed. I became part of the book and joined in with the very likeable characters. I loved how involved all of characte

I was addicted to this book from beginning to end and I enjoyed every minute of it!!! I never would have thought in a million years that this amazing author could blow me away once again, and guess what, she has amazed me with her writing style with this new series. This story is full of action, suspense, and family. That's what I liked the most about the book was how tight the family was to one another. I loved the love, hate, and romance throughout the story. It has for sure left me wanting to

I really liked this book. The story was quite unique from other books I've read so far and that kept me glued to the pages, but what I found most impressive were the characters. They were so relateable and felt authentic. Lucy and her family had a close bond and loyalty to each other, but the author allowed us to see their flaws and the dysfunction that many regular families experience. This brought the story to life for me. Add to that the fact that they were Keepers and their deceased father l

Lucy is the next in line to be the Keeper of souls that have recently passed including her father. Her job is to make sure that Reapers don’t come and snatch them before they get a chance to cross over. Jack is a reaper, whose new job is to kill the Chosen One….big problem however once he meets Lucy he has a sudden urge to protect her. Can Lucy be the one to end all Reapers or will her attraction to Jack come in the way?

I one clicked this book a few weeks ago, not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised with the story line and immediately fell in love with the Lucy. Jennifer Malone Wright didn't waste a single moment to jump into Jack's promiscuous behaviors. This book is a tale of Keepers (guardians to the souls who have not crossed after death), and Reapers who feed on the souls for sustenance. Lucy, a keeper, inherits her fathers role when he loses his battle to cancer. Lucy not much later finds s

Any story where girl meets Bad boy and turns him into a simpering fool of the heart, you know will be a great read for all those who enjoy a happily ever after. Lucy and Jack come from opposite ends of the supernatural spectrum yet gravitate immediately to each other. Opposites attract? While one is here to protect those who have yet to "cross over" the others purpose to collect and "feed" on these spirits. And though it should be destined for a couple such as these to not be together, the pull

The Chosen One, and I wish I had chosen another. This is one of those many books that's sat in my digital library waiting to be read. Often I find a great gem. This is not the case. O how I wanted to love this book. I would've settled for liking it. I was simply jumping for joy when it was over. Was it the worse I've ever read. No, there are some books I could never finish. But this one just ends smack. And it ends a few(3) pages after it appears the author finally gets a rhythm. Don't get me wr

I have to say that, I really enjoyed this book. it was a refreshing change to have a heroine that wasn't whiny or unsure of herself. Lucy knows what she has to do, and does it. Jack is a self appointed ass, and isn't afraid to let us know that he doesn't give a shit, until one day when all of that changes and suddenly his world is turned upside down. The interaction between the characters is something that you can see happening not something that is so far fetched you are left disappointed. Jenn
