1 - Unusual, and not in a good way. Stars.

I have to say this is probably the most unusually written book that I have ever tried to read. I say 'tried' as my concentration drifted so many times that I had to go back and re-read more than a few paragraphs.

My main problems are that the story is written in the first person, but then the flashbacks revert to third person, its all very disjointed, and to be frank the writing style is so clinical it felt like I was reading an instruction manual a l

Dangerous . . . Drago really was.
Crazy . . . that was her.
A relationship that could have ended with an "I do" is rekindled four years later brought together by a single common goal of finding a murderer, Angel.

Camille and Drago spent an amazing weekend together including nonstop sex. It could have worked out--Camille was so sure, except Drago didn't call after.

I have tried reading this over the last 4 days and just cannot get into it. I feel no connection to the characters and storyline. I also have some issue with the way this story jumps around from present to past because it really disrupted the flow of the story and was hard to follow along. Sadly, this book was just not for me.

Okay, this was the hardest book for me to ever read.

Well, not the hardest one EVER, obviously, because it is being published by a major publisher so it's obviously a cohesive novel, but man oh man ... I couldn't get into it. At all.

But since I received a copy via Net Galley and Random House - Love Swept in exchange for an honest review, I had to do my best to follow through, one hundred percent. And I did, even though I had to put the book down and pick it back up more than a few times.

I was hoping for a great thrill of chase, you know. This addictive feeling where you're just this close to catch the bad guy? Yeah. I didn't feel it in this book. The style of writing is a bit confusing to me and I have to "push" myself really hard to finish it. I liked Drago because he's a badass, but I have a bit a hard time to like Camille. To me she's annoyin

Detective Camille Martell’s obsession with catching a sexual predator leads to a young girl being taken and her suspended from the police force. With a feeling of guilt so strong it almost suffocates her, she turns to her ex-mentor on the force who runs a private investigation agency and finds herself partnered with Drago Nance, a man she had a steamy weekend with once upon a time and a man she hasn’t seen in four years.

This is my first read from this author, and I can say it won't be my last. It was well written. The suspense factor as high added with romance and Dangerous is a hit.

When Homicide Detective Camille Martell takes matter into her own hands to hunt a sexual predator and gets herself suspended. That becomes her only objective, catching "Angel". She finds herself over her head with no one to call. The only person who can hel

This is a fast paced novel about police/PI vv serial killer, with a side of hot romance. It is well written, combining moments of tension, with humour and passion. Told from the pov of both the leads, we soon get an idea of how much these two affect each other - and yet struggle with their pasts and present realities. Can love conquer all? Will they get their killer before he gets one of them? The set up is good, the frust

Dangerous easy to read suspense/romance. There is good cop drama as we follow career focused Detective Camille Martell and PI Drago Nance try to tract down a serial killer, and a decent amount of romance as Camille and Drago fight their attraction.

While the story is fairly predictable, I read it during my holidays and it was just what I needed as it wasn't too brain taxing. I was happy to discover that Ms Rosemoor has a larg

Dangerous is an okay read, but it is confusing and disorganized. Both the hero and heroine have flashback moments that are hard to understand in relation to the current action. It distracted from the plot and ruined the flow.

The bones of the plot are good. It is well paced and interesting.

For the most part, the character development was complete. The heroine was portrayed as being quite an emotional wild card; all while being described as a "black and white" thinking cop. Considering that she is

I'm really torn what rating to give. Straight after finishing the book, I added it to Goodreads with four stars but I had no time to write a review. Now, a few days later I have the time but I can't remember a single thing from the book. It feels wrong to give a four star rating to a book that left absolutely no impression neither good nor bad (I do remember two things: the sex scenes were hot and I skipped a few pages once in while ...). I might do a re-read at a later time, but for now three s ...more

This was a well thought out story. It was pretty intense from time to time, but that is to be expected considering the subject. There were a few things that got in the way of my truly getting into the book, but overall, definitely 4 stars.
There were only two things that bothered me and kept this from being a 5 star read. For one, Camille puts her unwanted attraction to Drago on the same level guilt level as letting her neighbor be kidnapped. She even mentions that she doesn’t know which she is m

When I started reading this story I knew that this was a storyline that I found interesting. The internet can be something very useful but it can also be very dangerous. I was interested with who this person could be murdering women that had similar characteristics to his mother. I wanted to know who would lure women on a chat and then did unmentionable things to them then kill them. I could not believe how they fought their feelings toward each other but I knew sooner or later they would end up ...more

Chicago homicide detective Camille Martell is a cop through and through. She eats and sleeps the job. She believes in the system and has dedicated her life to working within the system. Then this sexual predator case happens. It haunts her. It feels personal. She wants this guy. Bad! She felt she was handling the job just fine. But women were still being taken and eventually killed. Heart-pounding. That was my first thought four pages in. Know that feeling you get when you’re watching a movie and you just KNOW something bad is about to happen but the characters blithely walk into danger and you are left screaming at your TV as it happens? Yep, I had some of those moments too and I had to put down my kindle a few times because I couldn’t take the tension anymore.

Chicago homicide detective Camille Martell is consumed with tracking down “Angel”, a sexual predator who already

When I hear the words romance and suspense the following comes to mind:

Hot and sizzling romance

So when I chose to read this title I was hoping to find all these ingredients. It did not matter that I was not familiar with the author’s work. The blurb was enough to win me over. Now that I have finished reading this story I was not sure if I would be able to write an adequate review. Why? Dangerous did not turn out the way I had expected. I did not get the hot and sizzling romance

I took a liking to Camille right from the start. This smart successful homicide detective decides to take things into her own hands when she is removed from the case. Her boss is correct in thinking that she is too involved emotionally in this case. Putting herself on the line by approaching who she thinks the killer is over an online chat service. When she discovers that Sandy has made arrangements to meet with Angel she tries to find her. H

Dangerous is a good read, if you're into romantic suspense. However, for those who are looking for a story whose focus is the romance between the main characters, this book will probably be a little disappointing.

The author pulled me right into the story, with such vivid images and feelings of terror, fear, and dread of a new capture of innocent victim.
The anxiety and frustration of Camille are palpable. She is running with emotions on top, only on fumes, trying to catch the cruel murderer. At first, her overly emotional behavior was a bit confusing to me, since she is the top detective, but soon the story started to unfold, her reasons came

I first read Patricia Rosemoor's books when she wrote for Harlequin Intrigue. I always enjoy a story where the hero and heroine work together to solve the mystery in the story.

Camille is a detective in Chicago. She is obsessed with catching a killer. So much so, that she ends up suspended from the force while trying to catch him. SO she turns to her PI friend for help who partners her up his brother, Drago.

I'm rating this 3.5 stars, upgraded to 4 stars for Goodreads. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like this romantic suspense story because the characters seemed a little standoffish, not only to each other but to the reader as well. But as the plot progressed, so did my feelings for them. Camille is an intense homicide detective who has been placed on administrative leave because she's so overly involved with the case of a killer who approaches his victims through the internet.
