Erin needs some helpful tips, specifically tips on how to negotiate with people who take your irresponsible mother and her boyfriend hostage. As Erin is an artist and fairly introverted she doesn’t quite have the circle of friends that have these expertise either. When she receives an email from her ex-boyfriend’s mother with the date and time ...more
Four years ago some bad decisions on both sides broke Erin and Zander apart. They've been in love all through their teenage years - the hellraising thrill-seeking son of a strict military Dad and the quiet, nerdy art-lover, who lives with her grandma because her mother is not really all that dependable.
They haven't seen each other for a long time, but now Erin needs Army-Ranger Zander's help.

This is the first Jennifer Chance book I've read. I like her writing style and I do see myself open to the possibility of purchasing future books written by her. As far as this particular book goes, I can't say I liked it enough to buy it. I'll explain why shortly. But first let's go into what I did like.
I liked the plot; specifically the part about the second chance love story between former high school sweethearts who broke up under ...more
A sweet, dramatic story about long lost love and how thing can come full circle.
Despite the fact that she was trying to lie absolutely still, Erin instinctively arched a little, and Zander's expression changed, his smile deepening, going almost wolfish.
"Something you want, Erin?" he asked, and he leaned down close, his body shifting again to lie against hers, the heaviness of his erection hard and insisten ...more

A story about lost love, intrigue and rekindling that love always has my attention. “Want It” sounded purestdelightawardinteresting and I hadn’t read any of the other books in the Rule Breakers series … was told that it could be read as a stand-alone … so I was looking forward to seeing where Ms. Chance took Erin and Zander.

This is the first story I've read by this author and I quite liked her writing style. Want It is well paced and I like the way Erin and Zander's past was revelled to us in dribs and drabs.
While the story line of the army ranger helping the ex in distress is contrived a lot of this story focuses on the relationship between Erin and Zander and their relationship is far more interesting that the trouble Erin finds herself in.
This is book 3 in the Rule breakers series; however it is also a total stand alone. I have not read the other books but in no one did I feel I was missing anything. I am left full of questions as to what will happen with these characters and will be getting the others in the series to learn more of them. The sexual chemistry between the two characters was beyond belief and was a more focal point of the overall storyline. An ...more
Book was a good read. I liked the chemistry between hero and heroine. But I did have some issues with some scenes in the book that just seemed over the top and didn't make sense for the story line. The heroine did a couple things out of character and the hero at times I didn't like (how he reacted to the heroine a couple times).
Overall I liked the main characters together and the idea of the story in general was good.

This is a great series that each book could be read as a stand-alone however I would read them in order to get a better feel for all the characters and the dynamic between them all. This particular read is about Erin and how she comes face to face with her past. This author does intertwine all the characters from previous books into the current so it's an added bonus. :)
**This is my honest opinion based on ARC.

I'm torn between a "2" and a "3" on this. The number of errors was tremendous. I realize this is an ARC, and I rarely, very rarely, come across an ARC from a traditional publisher that has this many problems: the wrong words; misspellings; missing prepositions, pronouns, and articles; extra and missing words; and, verb ...more
The thing that bugged me about these books started to become apparent in book two and galvanized with this one-these don’t feel like NA stories and I don’t mean that in a good way.
It feels like plots written for main characters in their 30s were just slapped over college-aged protagonists. Not just the current scenarios but the backstories of each character just don’t feel legit for characters so young.

There are many times I start a book just wanting to kill some time. Maybe there’s nothing on TV or there’s an extra long wait at the doctor’s office, whatever it is I scroll through Amazon or Goodreads and try to find something that catches my eye. When I picked up Want It that was the kind of mood I was in. I expected to like the book but didn’t think it would be anything overly exciting. A few chapters in I was beginning to rethink my assessment.

This was a pretty good story. I liked Erin and Zander. Their situation was tough but I was happy with how things worked out.
Erin is an artist (a painter) and also works in an art gallery. She did not have good life growing up. Her father was absent and her mother was only there part of the time, leaving Erin alone often from the age of 6. Erin's grandmother stepped in and helped raise her but Erin found herself having to bailout or rescue her mother many times over the years.

It was a no brainer to read the third instalment in the Rule Breaker series as we finally get he story of Erin the girl who owns the brownstone and brought the four roommates together. I hadn’t got a feel for Erin really from the previous books and was excited for this story. The start had me attention captured, who goes to a funeral asking someone for help, especially a ...more
