Revisited the old Children's Bible I had when I was a kid, growing up in a Christian family and having my parents reading it to me. I left my faith behind a long time ago, but I wanted to see what it actually was like. There's a lot of gentle but firm indoctrination into Christian faith going on here, and it's mildly unsettling for someone who is nowadays opposed to all kinds of religion. But I also remember the cozy feeling of wrapping myself in my faith as some kind of safety blanket against a harsh reality. Some nice memories though, mainly from seeing the old illustrations.

So wundervolle Illustrationen, die die großen Erzählungen visualisieren.

A fine tool for the german intermediate learner. The illustrations are cute. A wholesome book.

I read this with my daughter throughout the year, the very same (now old and crumbling) copy my parents read me several times when I was a kid. It's good and I hold it close to my heart.

Read this with Kate for the first time Spring/Summer 2013.

excellent resource for capturing toddlers interest in the scriptures. popular for the art which omits attempts to put a face on Christ or God. good for toddler devotional time.
