Who knew pet-sitting could be so dangerous…or so sexy?!

Socially awkward Emma “Spider” Fisher prefers her laptop to people, so she’s more than happy to oblige her boss when he asks her to pet- and housesit while he honeymoons in London.

But it doesn’t take long for accident-prone Spider to lose a dog, get locked out of the house, and set off the house alarm!

Thankfully, her h

My first read from the author and definitely not my last! Looks like I’ve found a new favorite author.

One mornight after finishing a book, I’ve decided to look for another story to read. Still hyped about reading but choosing a book out of a hundreds can be quite difficult. Hello, bookworm problem! Anyway, there is this really pink book that stood out on my kindle library and I’ve remembered that I am part of the blog tour for this book. Haha!

So, I’ve started

This book had something of a rocky start for me, as I immediately loved our heroine Emma/Spider in all her quirky crankiness…AND was a bit put off by her flightiness. From the very beginning she reads as somewhat younger than her twenty five years, and her seeming ability to develop a crush on every male she comes into contact with was odd, and more than a bit out of character for how she is in the rest of the novel. I’m all about finding yourself, but that doesn’t necessarily equate to teenage ...more

Spirited Away by Angela Campbell is an good romance novel with healthy dash of humor, spooky ghosts and thrilling criminal mystery.

The heroine Emma/Spider is a computer nerd, who works for private investigation company (they also do some "ghost-busting" stuff) and she is house/pet sitting for her boss, who's on his honeymoon. She has kind of hard time at start with the animals (they are used to the master/slave who can read their mind :)) so they do a number on her to let her know their feelings

Every now and then I’ll come across a book which reminds me exactly why I love reviewing so much – and Spirited Away was one of them.

This sexy, funny romance is a treat and its supernatural side makes it all the more unusual. Spider has been hurt in the past and is determined to make her way independently in the world as a grown up. Unfortunately all the fit guys at work see her as a little sister, as she’s a very young looking 25, especially given her propensity for dying her hair outrageous co

Noah I love how he reassures Emma on certain things, "a woman's boobs can never be too big. Trust me on this." Emma may be bada** but she has a vulnerable side and I'm kinda glad we saw that, "why don't you go home and get changed? Make that call you wanted. Maybe you can come back later? Help me go through these boxes?" He didn't want her to stay? Feeling hurt by the implication, she nodded. She wasn't clingy, so why did his dismissal bother her so much?" I loved how Noah was upfront, "this mig ...more

This is my first book by this author and I absolutely loved it. A tough but vulnerable heroine with lots of crazy situations and a very hot neighbor that always seems to catch her at her worst. They end up thrown together as they face paranormal events. This provides plenty of humor and mystery. Laugh out loud funny, but totally engaging mystery.

I can't wait to read more by this author - she is now on my must read authors' list.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing an ARC in exchange for my hon

This was a very cute book, more of a mystery than I expected going in, but I really enjoyed it! I liked that the heroine was a smart hacker type, and her t-shirts cracked me up. Definitely can be read as a standalone novel, as I haven't read any of the other books in the series so far.

Another great book

This was another great book I this series. I would hate to think this is the end however. While it did come to a conclusion this book also left a sense of not complete.

My English review

I’ve never read the first novel in the series but having enjoyed the second book, I was curious to discover this one to see the new couple staged here. Indeed, as in the previous story, we once again will have two characters who deal with supernatural problems.

Spider was hired by her boss to take care of his house and his animals (you know, the talking animals we see in book 2), but she is not very good at that, oh no, because they make her crazy every time t

If you love ghosts you won't be disappointed with 'Spirited Away'. The paranormal characters add to the humour, mystery and suspense but they are just the icing on the cake.

Abbott, Charlie and Costello, the animal stars of this series are involved in many comic scenes which make this fun to read. Spider' our geeky, vulnerable heroine is not psychic but the quirky pets manage to make their wis

I don’t know why Angela Campbell wasn’t on my favorite author list before, but she is now. I adore this series so much!

I remember reading an excerpt for this at the end of Something Wicked and wanting to read Spirited Away as soon as it came out.

Spider!

I love Spider. What a fun heroine she is. She is a gamer, a computer nerd, has a collection of t-shirts that I would love to own, is independent, and I kind of want to be her. :D I think she is going on my girl crushes shelf over at Goodreads and

As I've been known to do, I started this series on a book other than book 1. I'm a rebel. I know. Hardcore. Anyway. Starting mid-series didn't cause me any moments of confusion (awesome) and the bits of backstory we were given had enough explanation to whet my appetite for more (even more awesome). As an aside, hunky demon slayer/ghost talker dude... I might have to go back and read the book he made an earlier appearance in. Because I do like hunky dudes who can nonchalantly deal with demons and ...more

I enjoyed 'Something Wicked' so much I did not know what to expect with this story, it's followup with different characters. I'm happy to report I read this book in one sitting, it captured my interest so completely. Spider is...oh, such a great character! I honestly expected something very different with her character and with this story, but the author surprised me by turning stereotypes on their heads and bringing a fresh new paranormal mystery to the table. And the animals. Oh, my word, I lo ...more

This book has a little bit of everything – a little paranormal, mystery, humor, and twists and turns.

I recommend reading book 1 (On the Scent (Psychic Detective Series, #1)) & 2 (Something Wicked (Psychic Detective Series, #2)) in this series before reading this one. If you don’t read the other books for some parts of this story you will be a little lost. Kind of like the characters are a little lost in this story.

Spider is going to pet/house sit for her boss. Spider is freaking funny

It's a tough call to decide whether 'Spirited Away' or 'Something Wicked' is my favourite Angela Campbell book. This was another great read, filled with humor, action, a light paranormal touch, and two fascinating characters who kept me entertained from page one all the way to the very satisfying conclusion. Spider is an intriguing, quirky, lovable heroine and Noah a delicious hero. I enjoyed the twists in this book, but for me it was the author's voice that made this a 5-star read.

Geek/gamer/hackergirl Emma is a very engaging--and capable!--heroine. While pet-setting for her boss, she gets caught up in the ghost troubles of her hot next door neighbour, Noah. And, of course, Noah has secrets of his own... Some genuine chills, some laugh out loud antics, some romance and a mystery all wrapped up in one. Fave moment: when Emma is trying to bribe the cat not to tell on her to her boss (who's a psychic who can talk to animals).

Spirited Away is a winner in romance, mystery, and paranormal! Although it started a bit slow, but it didn't take long for this milti-faceted tale to take off and drag me to the edge of my seat. Awesome!!!

I already bought one of the earlier ones and I don't think reading them out of order will make any difference. I can not wait to read Connor's story.

An eclectic reader who loves almost every genre, Angela Campbell read her first romance novel at 16 and immediately endeavored to write one, too. Many offbeat attempts (and a couple of decades) later, she published her first novel through Carina Press. Her new romantic suspense series is being published by Harper Impulse. With every story she pens, Angela aims to build in a paranormal element to a ...more
