4 years ago Rachel worked at Ross and Ulrich , after an unpleasant incident , she resigns but she leaves a hand written note in the desk for her replacement. The person who finds it makes contact with her and invites her for coffee , so she sets off to meet this random stranger ......
Patrick is tall , with the most beautiful green eyes , a dimple and broad shoulders with a Scottish accent to match ....,sounds like a god! He's so charming and attentive. He even brings Rachel a posy of heather tied with a lavender ribbon ! OMW! What kryptonite this delicious speciMAN is ! They seem to be relaxed in each others company hold on WTH !? They're being watched !!!Actually its more like being stalked ! Its someone who has an unhealthy obsession with Rachel !
I have a good chuckle , when she gets home Julia gives her the third degree wanting to know everything ! Her dad seems like a real sweetheart , he's a retired Marine Colonel but he has a super soft spot for his " little girl" . He's like a super security freak though ,her home is like fort nocks ! Having said that ,no understand the reason for it , I love the secret language she shares with her dad , found it rather entertaining .
Watching the relationship develop between Patrick and Rachel felt like an intrusion of their privacy at times . Patrick is older and more experienced , both in life and the bedroom . He's a very sensual ,passionate and unselfish lover , he aims to please . Now keep in mind she's a 20 something virgin but this man can pop the proverbial cherry on that puckered star fruit ! Patrick makes me look at a few things with new ,inquisitive and hungry eyes , things that were taboo will now be considered # blush blush # in all honesty Patrick could make even mother superior herself want to give up her star fruit !
Again , I'm amazed how well Jennifer Gavran let's the darker side of this tale just shadow the beauty ,romance and passion of this tale , it just adds that unknown edge . Even in their most intimate moments they're being watched !
Rachel's stalker gets brave and gets his hands on her and what happens next shocks me to my core and not my happy core ! I feel not only fear but betrayal , I couldn't get over what I was reading ! OMW! That someone so close and trusted who knew your worst fears could be so deceitful !?
Trust in me was extremely well written. A beautiful love story with a frightening edge .
A hell yeah , shout from the rooftops 5 bomb read !

Trust In Me Book 1 in the Kiss & Don’t Tell Series by Jennifer Gavran
A Sweet Sexy Read.
I was provided an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Trust in Me is the first book released by new author Jennifern Gavran. It starts off with a premise that was new for me. A man cleaning out a desk finds a letter from a former employee and texts her, want to meet her based on her kindness in the letter.
Rachel is a paralegal, who has had some unwanted attention from men with less than honorable intentions towards her. She wants to have a love life, but after having been victimized in the past, it is hard for her to open up and let anyone it, even a handsome Scot like Patrick MacQuiod. Although Patrick seems like a light in her relationship darkness, its not easy for her to trust. Rachel is a woman who hunts her own game, lives alone in the middle of the woods, and has been protected by her ex-Marine father. Can she let her guard down and take a chance to experience a love like she has never experienced before?
I really liked the character of Rachel Teague. She is feisty, strong, true to her beliefs and her family. She is a good friend, and does not roll over when bad things happen to her through no fault of her own.
Jennifer Gavran’s writing is engaging and I am personally looking forward to what she has coming in the future.
All it took was a text message and they were both intrigued. Rachel is amused that a letter she wrote and left in her previous job's desk has been found now, four years after she wrote it. The man that has found her letter has been so intrigued by what she wrote, he is compelled to ask her out for coffee so he can meet her. And so it begins... a relationship unequaled by any other, an attraction the burns deep in the soul, and a long lasting friendship that makes her feel protected and safe.
This book is more than a romantic story. It is a mystery that throbs as the undercurrent throughout the story until its heartbeat comes to a crescendo of suspense and torture. This is not a story for the faint of heart. There are evil people surrounding Rachel. Those who really and truly love her, must come to her rescue and save her from a horrific end.
The love affair between Patrick and Rachel is one for the classic romance books. It is romance, sensual erotic attraction, all merged together with the impending doom that foreshadows our story. Although this book does NOT end in a cliffhanger, we know there will be more. There are still some questions left unanswered and culprits in need of justice. For myself, I would like the sequel ASAP. I want to know what comes next!
Trust in Me is a story of two halves, it is a hot & steamy romance which leads into a dark and sinister tale. The main character is Rachel Teague, a young woman trying hard to live her life under the shadow of her past. Patrick MacQuoid finds a letter that Rachel left in her old desk and decides to meet her. When they end up dating, Rachel’s past comes back with a vengeance. I enjoyed the twists & turns within this story, it really kept you guessing & left me gasping with the total surprise at the end. I liked Rachel, but I couldn’t warm to Patrick as much, I found him a bit too pushy towards Rachel, but I did enjoy the whole story.
I enjoyed reading this book, although it’s hard as life itself. You can find a lot of things in it: The unconditional love of parents towards their children, the jealousy some people feel of someone who has everything, the selfishness of people who just follow their desires without thinking of the people who are going to be hurt, the betrayal of someone close, the bravery to face extremely difficult and hard situations, the passion two people feel for each other that can’t be hidden or restrained but let loose in steamy hot scenes. I can’t hardly wait to know what is coming next.
I very much enjoyed this book. It has all the elements of a spicy romance between two likeable characters with a twist of a surprise. When you least expect it, the story turns dark and this is where it gets really interesting! I thought the sex scenes were well done, but it's the author's ability to write about humanity's dark side that in my opinion makes this book stand out.
I am torn on this review, the book has a wonderful plot and is a good story. I have issues with this being a virgin book and the things that happen to her or she did. If she is a virgin I really doubt she would have a sex toy as most people call them BOB. Had she not been a virgin or had lost it early in the book I would have bought into it and the author would have hooked me. Now do not get me wrong I did enjoy the book and it does have a wonderful plot. I just could not get over the virgin and all she does, the BOB was a big issue for me. With that being said maybe there are more than one BOB’s if so the author did not make that clear to me. I thought there was too much time spent on telling us she was a virgin and talk about her virgin pussy.
It did have a spicy romance between two very likeable characters with a twist and turns. It does have mystery and the author does turn it to the dark side which was ok with me. I just could not see the bad guy not going or doing more than he did. I know that is confusing to you but I can’t tell you anymore or it would give the story away. I do believe the author did tell a compelling story of abuse and a stalker. I did find that part of the book believable. I did find some of the rest of the book believable. I loved the main characters, her father was a trip and her friends are the best. I am so sorry I wish I could go higher than a 3. This is one review I wish I did not write but with that said, it was a great story and the plot is outstanding. Deep breath but this is my very honest opinion.
From the very beginning I was torn between loving and disliking slightly. While the plot itself is believable some of the storyline just had me longing for more. Twists and turns made me fall back in good graces with the book but the parts of the book talking about her being a virgin had me disliking it all over again. Jennifer's writing sucked me in but couldn't hold th whole thing together for me. The heat between Patrick and Rachel is hot, the accent he has I can totally hear in my head as I'm reading it.
In my honest opinion I'm not sure I can give it more than 2.5 stars, even if the book did have some redeeming qualities, I still felt disconnected from their story.
A gifted copy was given in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed reading this book, although it’s hard as life itself.
