CD DRAMA:
Rating: 5/5
Cast: Hirakawa Daisuke x Terashima Takuma.

"Suki. Ai shiteru yo. Ai shiteru... Kokoro kara kimi dake wo ai shiteru."
"I like you. I love you. I love you... From the bottom of my heart, I love you."

In this second volume, we finally have Kaede-san’s POV, which helps a lot to understand where he is coming from, and why does he fancy Rintarou-kun.

The first half is set up in the cultural festival of Rintarou’s school, which he didn’t want Kaede-san to attend to, since he is dressed as a dog, serving others in his class’ café. And, as usual, he is absolutely cute and easy to tease.

But the main problem here is that one of Rintarou’s friends confronts Kaede-san, and basically he stands against their relationship. But, our beloved private teacher is not playing games with Rintarou, he says, yet he does feel threatened by the age gap between them (I think it’s only 3 or 4 years, but still). So, he puts Rintarou into a test and the guy passes it quite easily.

And, my god, when they tell each other how much they mean to them, my heart completely melt. Kaede-san uses the words ai shiteru several times, and in case you didn’t know, these words are only said when you truly love someone, in a way that you want to spend the rest of your life with them. So, yeah, he’s not playing games.

In the second half, he kind of misunderstands Rintarou’s intentions, but at the end of the chapter, he even gives him a key to his apartment.

Now, it’s nice to know that Kaede-san is not always confident on himself, and that Rintarou really affects him in a way no other person can. He truly loves this kiddo and I mean, who wouldn’t? He is kind, empathic and always puts others before him. He might seem a bit oblivious at a times, but that’s because he is way too innocent for his own good.

Anyway, I really, reaaally love this manga, and despite all the flaws it has (like, Kaede-san being possessive and monopolizing), I must admit that I kind of understand what it’s like to love someone so much, you just want all their attention on you. You don’t want nobody else touching them or making them feel special. And yeah, that’s obsessive. This is why, from the very first volume I said this was, and will always be, my guilty pleasure.

I know some things shouldn't be encouraged (this is not a healthy behavior in any way), and I’m trash for liking them, but I can't help but to love it in this story, at least. Can’t wait to read the third volume!

The characters are being really cute. Much better than the first book. The uke is so clutzy and cute. I like that the seme is showing more vulnerability, makes him more realistic and not just an over powering dominant perfect cookie cutter character like so many yaoi out there.

Unless I'm wrong, this volume has chapters 9- NOPE. I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THIS HAS CHAPTERS 4-7.
They really like to use the word "monopolize" in this translation. HAHA. Well, as always, the uke's closest seme-like friend starts to realize his feelings for the uke, Rintarou. Seme goes in and tells the friend, Ninose, to leave Rintarou alone. Seemed really cool. Misunderstandings again and then insecurities when it comes to the popularity of the other. I forgot just how old they are from each other.

Kaede "tests" Rintarou to see who Rintarou really belongs to by taking him by the stairs. HOW SCANDALOUS. They then confess their love towards each other. Boom.

It looks like we start off seeing things from Kaede's perspective. Spending some time with him while he figures out what Rintarou's up to. Eventually, Kaede thinks that Rintarou is cheating on him when he was actually working to save up enough money to buy a watch for Kaede for his birthday. Awe.

Oh, what is this other short story? The younger guy has glasses. OMGGLSKDJLDG. MEGANEEEE. He's super cute, too. Okay, so the younger guy with glasses is a university student and the older one is a host but he seems like the uke. The younger guy has a more strict personality. Me gusta. HAHAHA.
OHHHHHHHH. So they ended up being ex-step-siblings. Huh.
Ohhhh. Nevermind.
I see how this is going now. HAHAHA.

SO, APPARENTLY, the second volume is chapters 4-7, then a two part of 'Melancholic Trickster' and then there's a small extra of the original story. Okay, then. Weird.

Kaede’s really suspicious of what Rintarou’s been up to & finally confronts him about it to find out Rintarou took a part time job to save money & he bought Kaeded a late b-day present; a watch - Kaede feels so dumb but relieved it wasn’t another guy or girl Rintarou was seeing - Rintarou’s going to uni - Kaede gives him the key to his apartment -and soon enough, it’s spring break -they’re watching a horror movie& Rintarou’s freaking out.

Tokiwa (expressionless, comes off as cold, wants to make friends) & Haruka (a social butterfly & a bit touchy feely) - Haruka likes hanging out with Tokiwa & he finally tells Tokiwa his feelings, whose happy to have someone like him.
Idk if my review includes some of Volume 3??
