A Family Saga with humor, heat and heart--not to mention beer, bourbon and basketball!
The smoldering intensity of first love ~ the forbidden fantasy of temptation ~ the cold hard facts of real life.
When one man’s hopes are dashed apart in a split second after years spent chasing a dream, he returns home to Kentucky furious at the world and everyone around him.
Kieran Francesco is the middle son of the volatile, tight-knit Halloran-Love family. His role as peacemaker and the one true athlete is well established. He now faces life devoid of the sport he adores after a horrific, career-ending accident, which places him in a new and entirely uncomfortable position: that of the brother with no future.
Over the course of a few tumultuous months Kieran is plunged back into life at the center of the Love family, where he must cope with one self-destructive brother, one ill-timed reconnection to an old flame and a series of bad choices that land him in more trouble than he’d ever known existed.
Liz Crowe is a Kentucky native and graduate of the University of Louisville living in South Carolina. She's spent her time as a three-continent expat trailing spouse, mom of three, real estate agent, brewery owner and bar manager, and is currently a digital marketing and fundraising consultant, in addition to being an award-winning author.
The Liz Crowe backlist has something for any reader seeking complex storylines with humor and complete casts of characters that will delight and linger in the imagination long after the book is finished.
Her favorite things to do when she’s not scrolling social media for cute animal videos is walk her dogs, cuddle her cats, and watch her favorite sports teams while scrolling social media for cute animal videos.
What I have discovered about this series is how the author presents real people with real issues... no one is perfect or without flaws...just like in real life. Relatives we have will do things or say things which may strike an unhappy chord... or they may just be the Aunt or Uncle you could do without...Families have so many different dynamics.. it can become difficult to remember who is pissed at who...
There also something which seems to run through these Love Brothers... they allow their little heads to make important decisions their big heads should...because this installment has cheating once again.
And this cheating cannot be done in a vacuum... no, it is done with the high school sweetheart who broke our middle son, Kieran's heart. Cara lied and told him just before she started college... she never loved him and broke him.. Kieran was destined to play professional Basketball... got picked by Miami...played and then had a career ending, brutal accident on the court. Back home it took him a while to get his head together. It seemed he was almost there...found a woman...became engaged and started to settle in.
Cara went on with her life...knowing she made a mistake... but she also thought she had moved on... was wooed by a wealthy man who made her feel safe and cared for...became engaged and she settled in, too.
Until a perfect storm happens and both these two connect again on a level which in a drunken haze cause both their lives to tilt; causing all sorts of hurdles. Both are supposedly tied to others... but the pull to each other will not be denied.
While we experience this part of the tale there is another story brewing... Dominic, the second son... the dark brooding, tattooed and pierced son has been carrying weight on his back. His Mother senses it and we become engrossed with what is happening with him...
This book was well written and gave us a lot to think about. I did have some issues with the main focus of the story due to the cheating... I have difficulty liking characters who do it...however... it happens in the real world and this family is reality based.
This is a complex family...they have many parts which will either butt heads or give advice... but always love one another.
The next book with be Dominic's and I think this will be the most interesting of all.
A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review.
I received a copy of Coach Love via Book Enthusiast Promotions for an honest review.
I cannot express how excited I was when I received this book! I really enjoy reading sport romances, and after reading Love Garage, I could not wait to get my hands on Coach Love. And it delivered in spades!
Let me tell you THE most fantastic thing about Liz Crowe. When she writes a story, it will always take you by surprise. You think you know, but you have no idea. Every time you think a story plot is going one way, she manages to turn it in a very unexpected way, and YOU WILL LIKE IT! She keeps you on your toes, there's not doubt about that! LOL
Kieran & Cara were high school sweethearts until Cara broke Kieran's heart. Kieran went on to play professional basketball until an accident ended his career. And now he's broken both physically and emotionally. Just when his life is getting back on track ... WHAM, Cara.....
Cara's got the life she always dreamed of ... allegedly. She's engaged to a very wealthy guy. Their relationship isn't perfect or without flaws, but Cara only sees those things as 'par for the course'. Nothing is perfect. You take the good with the bad and you deal. But then Kieran comes back into her picture and now everything's not so clear ....
Reading this book was like watching an episode of General Hospital (any soap-opera will do, that's just the only one I watch sporadically LOL). There is drama at every corner. There's (wait, what?) almost every other page. And while you're trying to keep up with the whirlwind that is Kieran & Cara, you have another storm in the horizon ready to make landfall, Dominic Love!
I'm gonna tell you right now that if you can't read without prejudice, please don't read this story. If you pay attention to what I've written, you should understand there's gonna be some cheating, amongst other things. And while I understand it is really hard to take your personal feelings on subjects out of the equation when you're reading a book, you should try really really hard. Because Liz Crowe has exceptional writing skills. And she's going to give you a story that's real in every day life. Cheating happens every day. People are flawed.
So give Coach Love a try and the rest of the series while you're at it. It honestly IS a very well written, entertaining page turner! #TRUST
I wasn't sure what to expect from the series about the Love brothers. They definitely are not easy men to live with and love and the women in their lives also deal in lies and betrayal.
I would expect the sons of a religious family with committed parents to have more respect for themselves and the women in their lives but they tend to cheat and lie pretty easily.
I would have preferred less interactions with others when they are saying how much they love and care for someone else. They don't have much quilt over their actions either which would have been appropriate.
In this second book, Kieran is dealing with a lot of failures when he runs into his ex. She is engaged to a hot shot lawyer and he is engaged to a lawyer as well. They were young and in love for years before she broke it all off. They both know they should keep their distance but they can't do it. There is a big secret revealed at the end that really impacts the family.
You really have to keep a scorecard with these brothers to keep track of all their women and their bad behaviors.
It definitely packs heat but in the end it is hard for me to like the characters. The story does keep your attention.
I read the first book in the LOVE series and loved it (no pun intended). This one is ever better. I feel in love with Kieran, he seems so down on his luck and I felt sorry for him. Though he did have his I wanna kill him moments too. this is a great family series and you get a glimpse of all the brothers and know they will all have their own stories is great ..cant wait for the next one
Book 2 in the Love Brothers series. I highly recommend reading book 1 before embarking on Coach Love. This book although based around Kieran Love contains the continuing drama of the Love family, you will get much more background on each character if it is read in the order the series is written.
This is the second brother and peace maker Kieran's book. Always the good boy, the chilled and calm brother, Kieran has found his future hopes and dreams shattered with a career ending injury. Basketball and the NBA is no longer an option for Kieran so he finds himself depressed, questioning his future with a high maintenance girlfriend that no one likes, back in Kentucky around his family and with way too much time on his hands to wallow in thoughts of what could have been.
When he attends a Physical Therapy session, he is surprised to find his therapist is his high school sweetheart Cara. They have both moved on with there lives so things can remain professional and platonic between them; or can they?
Cara is engaged to one of Kentucky's most eligible bachelors. Kent is everything she should want and she thinks she is happy... Until Kieran reappears in her life. Should she follow her heart or her head? and is Kent really as eligible as everyone thinks he is?
Old feelings bubble under the surface and when Kieran and Cara bump into each other at a bar one evening those bubbles POP! Leaving them both questioning the decisions of the past, the present and the future.
The high drama continues in the fast paced second instalment in this brilliant series. I love how Liz twists and turns her stories, you just have no clue as to where she will take her characters or if a HEA is even possible; Kieran and Cara are no different. They parted on friendly terms but it is clear that they still have a connection from the moment they meet again. In true Liz style this couple have to overcome many obstacles both in there relationships with others as well as with themselves.
What you will certainly see is a different Kieran than the sensible, laid back character we first met in book 1. In some ways he is the black sheep. Not in the usual rebellious sense - that title is most certainly Dom's. It is more in a sense that he is a typical middle child; quiet, peacemaker, doesn't cause concern, easy to overlook and to top it off he is the only ginger sibling, which he is reminded of frequently. I liked him and I loved that he had a very close (or as close as you can get) relationship with the very troubled brother Dominic. Throw in the Love families drama's and sometimes dysfunctional dynamics and you have another awesome book.
Well done Liz. Your books never fail to suck me in. Your writing style and the depth you add to your characters is amazing and you never leave the reader asking questions. You dot every i and cross every t in your storytelling; not many writers have the talent, skill or passion to be able to do that.
I should now say that I am eagerly anticipating Dominic's book, but being one of Liz's early readers on this series I have already had the pleasure of reading it. Instead I will tell you to hold onto your hat, pull up your big girl panties and look forward to Love Brewing, Dominic is full of surprises.
WOW I just do not know what to say, Liz sure throw a twist in this book. I never saw that coming. Just goes to show you when you think you know a character you need to think again. I totally loved this book, it is so touching and heartbreaking. Liz puts a twist on her stories that are so unlike anything I have ever read. This poor family just keeps getting hit with more pain than it can take.
Kieran comes home with his tail between his legs trying to start over from losing his job, his women (that no one liked anyway) to find he still has feeling for his high school sweetheart that dumped him. Things are about to get very completed not only for Kieran but for Cara, Melinda, Kent and Dominic. The saying goes Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive! Each have secrets that are about to come to a head that can’t be hidden any long. Oh there is going to be fall out, pieces broken, hearts torn apart and love lost before it is all said and done. The question is who will be left standing and who will be with whom?
Kieran is strong but has a fear of being alone and feels he needs a woman to hold. Melinda just isn’t doing it for him. She has a big secret which will make Kieran finally walk away from her. The question is will he stay away and what about this pull he has for Cara, can he make things right with her or should he leave her alone to marry Kent?
Cara is a strong will woman who left Kieran after high school wanting to sew a few wild oats before she settled down. In walks Kent they are days away from being married when his secret comes out. He swears it is nothing and he will walk a straight line, he loves her more and will do right by her. Can he keep this promise and can Cara stay out of the Kieran arms long enough to say I do?
I am sure you are asking where Dominic come in all this mess, well just take it from me his has a VERY BIG secret that will tear his family apart. It will put father against son and maybe brother against brother. Can love stay in this family and bring it back as a whole or will all the secrets finally tear the Love Family apart?
Liz in her unique style makes you laugh, want to cry, leave you with your mouth hung open saying OOOOHHHH my god as she spins a tale of a family barely holding it together trying to find their way in life with many bumps along the way. I have totally loved the entire Love Brothers series, I have to say this is the best one yet. Each are unique and worth the read as Liz tells it like it is with a complicated family who is just putting one foot in front of the other as they make a mess of their lives as they try to bring it around to live another day hopefully with the person they love.
Liz has an easy style of writing a complicated life, her words flow easy and she draws you into the life of her characters. She gives you a page turn that her readers will not want to put down. She never leaves you behind but pulls you forward as she writes a story of pain, heartbreak with love. You never know who her characters will end up with until the end. It has a wonderful happy ending but is sad at the same time. Liz you did a wonderful outstanding job I totally loved this story.
This is the second book in the Love Brothers Series.
As a young child we were often anticipating the changes of the seasons. The warmth coming in is the slow sign that summer is coming near. The changes of the leaves we all look forward to fall. The ever loving singing of the birds showed us spring was coming. Let’s not forget the first chill in the air warning that winter would be near.
Cara-pretty, smart and nervous
Kieran-hunky, scared
Kent-hunky and reserved
Dominic-hunky, hidden
Cara is the woman that knows what she wants out of life but is a bit reserved when it comes right down to voicing exactly what she wants and feels. This makes her an awesome catch. Frightened at times with the past lurking in the forefront can she find her way to bring the past and the future together as one? Will she keep her fears hidden or will she voice them to the world?
Kieran is the guy that every woman wants to be with. He is hunky and knows it. But what his heart truly desires is the one that got away or has she? Can he dig deep within his heart to let the fears out and go after his true heart? Can he finally have his happily ever after?
Kent is a successful lawyer that has a hidden desire that he keeps close to his heart. Even though he is with the one that he loves dearly his heart has another heart trapped within his that truly wants to come to the forefront. Will he keep the one he loves dear or will he finally be able to let his true heart out and let it become one with the truest of hearts?
Cara and Kieran were childhood loves circumstances and choices forced them apart. Seeing one another after such a long time it’s like their hearts have never been apart. Both committed to someone else and seeing one another is hard on them both. Their hearts however never seem to falter the magnetic force between their two hearts is so strong that each of them know that their forever hearts will always be one. Can these two loves along with the magnetic force bring them to find their forever with each other?
What about Kent? Will he be able to go through with his commitment with one or will he allow his true heart to lead him to the one his heart holds dear?
Dominic has a hidden secret that one only knows which he is determined not to reveal but when his heart gets involved will he be able to follow it or look away forever?
To the author: One amazing read that had this reviewer on the edge of her seat from page 1 and never let go till the final page was complete. You have such a gift when throwing sweet twists in when you least expect it. In the end however again you floored me to best. I was surprised and flabbergasted during this entire read. Thank you for allowing me the honor in reading this great expectation and blowing it all out of the water in all a good way.
To the readers: Please expect the unexpected cause at every page you will be surprised you will never actually know where these characters are going to the very last page. You will be in tears at some points and screaming at the characters on the next page but in the end you will be in awe.
The old saying that "cheaters never win" does not stand true in COACH LOVE.
Kieran Love has always been the strong Love brother--the good guy, the one people relied on. He's also the athletic star of the family--or he was, before a horrifying career ending injury cut his time in the NBA, drastically short in his rookie season. Now engaged to the bitchy but beautiful Melinda, Kieran finds himself drowning in a pit of self-pity and alcohol and loathing...and drunken lust as he falls back in bed with his ex-girlfriend, Cara Cooper.
Cara is also engaged, but breaking up with Kieran all those years ago has always been a deep regret, and damn if she can find it in her to give a shit when he makes her feel like a (albeit drunk) goddess. In addition to the fact that he can't stop thinking and drooling over his ex-girlfriend, Kieran's life is quickly spiraling out of control. Too much time on his hands has him drinking himself into a constant stupor and falling into some really self-destructive bad habits. Join the Love family as they take on this most recent challenge of supporting one of their own.
LOVE COACH is book 2 in the Love Brothers series that spotlights a seriously dysfunctional Italian/Irish-American family that love each other…but don't seem to like each other all that much. As a huge fan of Ms. Crowe, I devour anything of hers I can get my hands on, and while this series isn't exactly my favorite, I can't deny that her "Romance for Real Life" writing style has me up all hours of the day and night devouring her stories as fast as I can.
My main issue with this series is the seriously obscene amount of unremorseful cheating! And that everyone is more or less A-Ok with it in the end (which seems totally non "real life" to me, BTW). The characters don't make a big deal about it, and it's just a fact of falling for a Love Brother, he'll totally f*ck you over at some point. So while it's clear that Kieran and Cara have 10 times the chemistry than they do with either of their fiancée/fiancé, would it kill them to maybe break it off with their SO's before going after each other like cats in heat?
Ms. Crowe's writing style isn't for the faint of heart or those who want a light frothy read. You'll get "the feels" from page one, start rooting for SOMEONE by page 10, cry by page 60, laugh at 70, throw your ereader by 90 and at the end, if you're not too mentally and emotionally spent, you'll say brava...and pick up another of her masterpieces.
In this installment we look at Kieran and begin to delve into Dominic. The ending will tear your heart out. Poor Dominic. The only one who truly truly accepted him was Kieran. Love should be unconditional but for Dominic we see that doesn’t happen.
Kieran’s life is spirally downward. His girlfriend he doesn’t like and he breaks up with, his job is gone and his brother Dominic is in a quagmire. One he wishes he could help with but can’t he can only show love and support. To top it off his ex-girlfriend who he loved since high school the one that dumped him in college and said he was nothing to her is marrying someone else and he still loves her. That is not the strangest part of that tale. His ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend is in love with someone besides her. This comes out at the wedding or non wedding and this is when Kieran and Dominic declare their love. Kieran outwardly to his ex. Dominic in a show of strength and courage one that Kieran is proud of.
This story entails these two brothers and how they are dealing with their spiralling life. Dominic with heartache and accepting who he is. Kieran with trying to start over and live with the fact he loves Cara his ex from college. The story is told from Kieran’s and Cara’s point of view. Unfortunately for Dominic he intertwines in the story for both Kieran and Cara. You will feel so much for Dominic especially at the end. What he goes through and is trying to come to terms with just will break your heart. And when Kent finally accepts and comes to terms with who his heart really wants it may be too late. I do hope that works out.
I love Cara in this story at the end with Kieran. He keeps having to ask her for her hand and go through hurdles. Too funny. the one character though that will wrap you in love and warmth is the mom. She accepts and loves unconditionally and I hope she can help keep this family together with that ending. I love Kieran and his support and love for Dominic as well.
A wonderfully written story of love and acceptance. Of finding who you are and becoming comfortable with it and standing up for who you love no matter what the consequences. I look forward to seeing Dominic’s story and am so hoping he finds his love.
I was provided an early reader copy of this book and I know that editing is still in progress. After reading the first book, ‘Love Garage’ and now this second book, I am truly invested in the characters.
Liz Crowe has a tremendous talent with character development and she is able to make the reader love/hate the characters, feel the love, loss, sadness, happiness, and realistic issues on life decisions that people have to deal with so often.
I love this story of 4 brothers and a ‘baby’ sister, along with strong willed parents. I enjoy reading about Kentucky, the horses, the brewing company, and I love that the family gathers for lunch on Sunday’s. Afterwards, there is an all-out war type of basketball game between the brothers and no one leaves without at least a bruise or more. Of the four sons there is the oldest one who watches over everyone, the second is the athlete and peacemaker, the third is the bad boy with various issues and works in the brewery, and the baby brother who spent many years in higher education and becoming a writer.
Kieran is the second son and the peacemaker. There are a lot of changes with his career and love life and I empathized with his pain and trying to find his way.
This series is different from other Liz Crowe books and where a broader range of readers would enjoy the stories. With the sons, you have the love, loyalty, fighting, and competition. The parents who are still in love with each other but Mama Love doesn’t put up with much, so the husband and sons know to watch out! There are several side characters that the boys date/marry, some scorching hot sexy times, and an overall addicting storyline. You can’t help wanting to read more about the brothers and the Love family. Liz provides a HEA, even though it might not be the one you expect.
I look forward to reading the next story, ‘Love Brewing’ which focuses more on Dominic and I can already tell that he is a heartbreaker. I can’t wait for these stories to be published in early 2015.
ARC received from author in exchange for an honest review
Love Garage was a little rough around the edges, but Coach Love definitely brought it's A-game. I enjoyed this one the most out of books 1-3, even though the whole cheating theme was still very much present. I felt like Ms. Crowe brought more than enough to the table to compensate and I found myself completely invested in this story and curious about the direction it was going in. There is definitely no shortage of drama, love, lust, and horribly made decisions in this second installment. All of which will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. And OMG what an ending!
Allow me to backtrack a bit... Keiran and Cara are high school sweethearts. Both are currently engaged to lawyers and neither is 100% invested in their relationship. Why? Because they're still pining after each other and their failed relationship. Nobody really likes Melinda (Keiran's fiancé) so I personally couldn't care less about her, but Cara's fiancé Kent is a different story. For all intents and purposes he seems pretty amazing, the perfect catch. Although the saying "it's too good to be true" rings very true in this situation. But that's something I'll let you figure out on your own.
The fact that all of Keiran's life plans seem to be crumbling, one right after another is what I think brought him back to the original source of his heartbreak...Cara. So now, even more than before, he can't get her out of his mind. And vice versa. Cara is aware she made a bad decision in ending things with Keiran, but her relationship with Kent is too far along to go and end it all.
I love that the family dynamics are still going strong in this second installment, and that the dual POV is still present. The writing is pretty much on point and the story flows well. I would definitely recommend this one, with the warning that it may not be for everybody on account of all the cheating/love triangles.
The romantic twists and turns of another Love brother are on dramatic display in this second installment in this series. Kieran's life seemed to be going so well in high school until he was painfully dumped by his true love Cara. His cycle of pain continued when a career-ending sports injury occurred which drove him back home leaving him a lost soul. Just when he finally seems to have gotten his life back together with a new love he's reunited with his old love which leads to some painful decisions for everyone. Kieran was always seen as the perfect son but his cheating in this story tarnished that image for me, but with Ms. Crowe's impressive writing skills she still makes him likable and had me rooting for his HEA throughout all the ups and downs.
Cara always knew she'd made a mistake dumping Kieran but moved on to find a man she cares about with a life of contentment. Seeing Kieran again has her doubting her happiness though and with old feelings intensifying she reconnects with him despite all the pain it leads to. Cara's a likable woman doing something that I find disappointing, but Ms. Crowe makes her a multi-dimensional character whose acts are understandable in her quest for true happiness.
The people in this story are flawed, they don't always do the right thing but they go with their heart despite everything. Their imperfections are what pull you in as we see the grey side of life depicted. Family plays a large part in this story and are equally realistic as they're sometimes overbearing and say the wrong thing. They're loyal though and always there when needed. Amidst the romantic drama surrounding Kieran and Cara is the emotional struggle weighing on Dominic. His pain is palpable and I'm even more drawn to him in anticipation of his story arriving next.
This is the second in the love Brothers series, and I leaped into it with both feet. This book brings us the story of Kieran, the star athlete of the family until an injury removes him from basketball permanently. He returns to the family fold and a job he enjoys, but life throws him more than his share of curveballs. His fiancée, Melinda, is every bit the bitch that Dottie from my books is, except that, unlike Dottie, Melinda doesn’t have mental illness to fall back on as an excuse. She’s just a bitch. The best part of the whole book, for me anyway, was watching the situation with Kent as it twisted and morphed heading into his wedding to Cara and the depth it adds to the storyline. It could've derailed the entire plot for me, but the conflicts between Cara and Kieran, as well as the continuing conflicts within the family, kept me nailed to the story and wouldn’t let me go. One of the things I like best about this book (well, the series, actually) is the fact that every one of these characters has a distinct personality, and the storyline expresses that in a way that’s palpable. I can’t say that Kieran is my favorite Love brother. I just didn’t connect with him as I did with Aiden, but I felt his pain and walked his journey right alongside him, and Crowe has an ability to let the reader do that in fine fashion. The ending felt a bit abrupt to me, and I know that the story will be picked up in the next book, but I didn’t have that feeling of satisfaction that I had at the end of the first book. Fortunately, it doesn’t matter – the writing is solid enough that I have every intention of reading the next one, and I’m sure there’ll be resolution there. It’s a story well done and a great read. If you haven’t started the series yet, do so and don’t stop until this one’s finished.
Have you ever been in a toxic relationship well meet Kieran Love, ex-pro basketball player forced to retire due to injury and his high powered lawyer fiancé, Melinda.
The author really created a hands down not nice character in Melinda that both men and women can relate to. Ms. Crowe wrote her as being very strong and at the same time weak. And though I personally didn’t like Melinda I did feel her bitchy character added to the story by creating lots of conflict and interesting moments.
Kieran is someone that I really relate to. It is hard trying to always be the good, perfect son. I love how his mentally falling apart because of his job situation and damaged body was written. It showed angst as well as the despair that there is no solution.
Dominic, Kieran’s younger brother plays a big part in this story and according to the ending it appears he will have his own book. At least he better or I will always wonder what happened next.
I do enjoy a good twist to a story so in comes Kieran’s only love from his youth, Cara. Ironic that she happens to be his physical therapist. Yes even more complications she is engaged to a lawyer. This relationship actually creates a very shocking ending to this book. I predicted part of the ending but no way did it come about as I thought and I really loved the impact of the events that left me with no solution for one and a HEA for another.
I am looking forward to the next book and kudos to the author! This book really was a much smoother read than the first book to this series.
I give this 4 stars.

I am so glad to say that this second book in the Love Brothers series was as good if not better than the first one..Liz Crowe you have once again captured my attention and heart with this family. I have said it before and I will say it again I didn't think anyone would replace Jack and Sara but you have done it! In this book we see Kiernan..he is the peacemaker in the family the calm one...one who doesn't get angry or upset he just doesn't do that! Well was I surprised! Kieran was suppose to have a successful basketball career but his dreams are shattered and he finds himself getting therapy and face to face with his former love...oh yeah that Margaret is still around but seeing Cara again has rekindled some fond memories of their time together. Cara is engaged to Kent a wealthy lawyer who has some secrets of his own to keep! In this book we see Antony, Aiden and their wives, of course Mama and Daddy Love and more of Dominic... Cara is a strong, independent and committed to marrying Kent and starting a life with him but her seeing Kieran again makes her question why she let him go. Oh yeah this book has secrets, surprises, made me chuckle, wipe away tears and gasp as I read...Well Liz Crowe you have me wanting the next book in this series now so that I can see what happens next since the few pages at the end of this book leaves me wanting more of Dominic's story. If you haven't read any of Liz Crowe's books please take a minute and get Love Garage and this book...you won't be sorry that you did!
This book basically covers Dominic and Kieran. Dominic is a ladies man. Someone new every night and pretty much catting around. But he has a big secret. It's bound to come out once his brother Kieran finds it out. Kieran is engaged to Miranda which the whole family hates. She acts to good for them. After shattering his knee in the NBA Kieran has returned home and ends up having physical therapy from his first love Cara. Cara is recently engaged to Kent, but finds herself still attracted to Kieran. She knows she never should have broken up with him back in college. But it is to late now they both have moved on.
Another book I don't want to say to much and give anything away. This book seems a little tamer with the sleeping around that dominated the first books story line. Still has enough sex and I am beginning to think all the brothers are dogs and will have sex with anyone. The grist of the story is wonderful. You find yourself picking sides and hoping this one will finally get the one they want. Dominic was the wild card. I can't say I didn't see it coming but on the flip side I didn't think I was right. There are enough hints to make you guess but then he does something totally different that you think ok maybe I am wrong. Coach Love gives you a chance to catch up with Aiden and Anthony's life and what is going on in their world.
Wow after Love Garage I thought I had things all figured out, oh boy oh boy was I wrong.
Kieran Love, the perfect son, the perfect brother, or so everyone thought, until life messes with him and he takes on some bad habits to deal with it. When Kieran ends up in a local bar drowning his sorrow's he runs into his first love, who is engaged to the man of her dreams, its not their first run in, but its one that will set into motion events that will ultimately bring them closer together, but not before it drives them further apart.
Cara's life is perfect, she is about to marry her dream husband, or is she? So what if they have a few things to work through. Cara believes the trade off of things that are great vs. things that are not is worth it, she's thankful for what she has, until some events bring to light how wrong she is, including Kieran Love.
This series is written in true Liz style, which means everything does not happen the way you think it would or should, and there are things that happen that just have you going WTF! Its great, awesome and keeps you wanting more.
In this installment we also get to know Dominic Love a bit better and I cannot wait for his book, Love Brewing set to release in March, I have a feeling its going to be the best one yet.
I lived reading ?Coach Love (The Love Brothers Book 2), all about Kieran Love the ex-basketball star & Cara his ex-girlfriend turned physical therapist. Every week for the last year Cara has been treating Kieran's shattered knee problem with intense therapy. But according to her it would never heal properly if he continued attending family basket ball pick-up time every Sunday! The author wrote a unique story about Love brother number two, and everything that has been happening to him since his basketball career ended, as well as everything going on with the rest of the Love Family and their said drama. This is an amazing family, that rally's around their parents and each other in everyday life and everything else in between. Read this book, it will make you laugh, cry, sigh a lot, shake your head often and cum a lot! I loved reading book one and now book two and I can't wait to read book three. Please take a chance and get to know the Love Family, they are truly an inspiring bunch.
** ARC received on behalf of obsessed by books for an honest review ** we have a new love brother, which is not a bad thing. we meet Kieran the middle brother. He has had his heart broken by his high school sweet heart Cara right before she leaves to go to college she tells him she doesn't love him no more which breaks Kieran apart. while Care went on with her life Kieran tried to pick his back up. He went to play for Miami as a professional basketball player til a career ending accident happen and cause him to spiral back down and even though he put on a good show with finding a woman who he claned he loved and would be marring Kieran was not okay. Fate had defferent plans for Kieran and Cara, one druken night at a bar their paths crossed and the chemistry was so still there and now I don't condone cheating but its certain these two still love each other and seeing how neither one is happy with their so I say they should try. loved this book cant wait to read about the other love brother.
Well I am so torn with this story. So much happened in it that at times it took me a minute to catch up with what was happening between them all. There were so many characters with heir own story on the go that it wasn't an easy read by any means. That donut mean it wasn't a good story! I did enjoy it, even if I did want to take a few of the characters and smack them upside the head for being so freaking stupid. A few times I felt that the story went towards the unbelievable....like with the female lead. I like my female characters to have a backbone...and sometimes she just didnt. To go through with what she was going to...I mean have a little respect for yourself girl! I know if you haven't read the book that comment will be confusing but I don't want to give anything away!!
All in all a good book, annoying characters in the form of that Melinda, great characters who I want to know more in the form of Dominic and a good basis of a plot! I will read the other books
These Love brothers all know who they want and don't stop until they get them!
Liz, once again, did a fantastic job of writing a believable (and HOT) story while expertly crafting an ending that I NEVER would have expected! That's one of the things I really like about her writing style; just when you think the story is going to go down the "typical contemporary romance" path, the book ventures off in the opposite direction.
I liked Coach Love because it's realistic in the sense that it's about people who, though they are secretly pining for each other, are forced to live their lives without the person they really want to be with. The times when Kieran and Cara had their secret interactions, the dialogue between them was very moving. I really felt for them.
As I mentioned before, the ending was SO unexpected, and I cannot wait to read what happens to the Love brothers next!
***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
I actually listened to the audible version of this book and, it was great! I admit that the narrator wasn't always perfect for every part but, he did a fine job.
I LOVE reading more about this family, all the Love brothers and their parents. They aren't perfect, they're real and flawed. Gritty and messy like families in real life tend to be. These books aren't just about the romance, they're also about strong family ties.
Kieran Love is thought to be the perfect brother, the peacemaker...but, even the perfect brother falls from grace. Injuries have taken away his high octane career, his love life is a mess, he has no real job. Yeah, the perfect one...Moving back to his hometown may not be the wisest choice for him but, it works out in the end.
Not pretty issues, not a perfect family. But, they are "real" in their flaws. Hot, funny, and heartbreaking. Can't wait to see what's up next for the Halloran-Love family!
Those Love Brothers have a way with women. Kieran returns to his small town to work as a teacher after an injury sidelines him from his NBA dreams. With a ice cold fiance he can't help seeing the problems between them...and the problems between her and his family.
Kieran is like a lost boy who still misses the dream he had. He wallows in his despair. It takes one instant for a match to be lit around him, turning him into a stranger. (Yes...I'm trying not to give spoilers). But like any temptation, they aren't easily let go of.
I love how Ms. Crowe weaves the stories of this family and the people of the town. We see more of Dom (another son) in this book as well as more of the matriarch Justine at her prime. She's overcome an illness and has the much needed wisdom to finagle her children's lives in the right direction.
A must read for fans of Nora Roberts family stories. Ms. Crowe does for Kentucky what Susan Mallory did for the coastal towns. Bring on the next brother!
In the latest installment featuring the hot Love brothers, author Liz Crowe turns her sights on Kieran.
Coach Love earns high marks not only for the ease in which the author continues the Love family storyline, but with the pairing of Kieran and Cara. Packed with plenty of panty-melting scorching scenes, this is one story that earns a spot on the keeper shelf for the completely unexpected plot twist.
Whether Cara and Kieran will get to finally experience a happily ever after is the big question. With Kent and Melinda on the scene, the likelihood starts to diminish.
After reading several books by this author, I can say that her work is always engaging. As with previous titles, she leaves me satisfied, but ready for what happens next. I'm hoping that Dominic will get his story next.
Oh my goodness! I adored this story...even though yet again there was quite a bit of cheating involved...seriously people...can anyone in this town be faithful while dating?!?
The romance in Coach Love was sweet and sigh worthy. I saw some of the twists coming...but it didn't ruin it in any way. The flow of the story and the development of the story was nothing short of perfect! By the end I had laughed and cried, yelled and grunted so much that I just didn't know what I felt anymore! This was one emotional rollercoaster that I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did.
As I have come to expect from Liz's books, the characters are beautifully developed, the story line is unique and extremely well written, and the issues covered are extremely realistic. Liz's writing style took a bit to grow on me, but now I am abso-freaking-lutely obsessed and cannot wait to start the next book!
Coach Love is the story of Kieran Love ex NBA player and local star athlete. This is book 2 of a four book series about a family of four brothers who live in Kentucky.
Kieran is the good peace making son whose life has not quite turned out the way he expected it to turn out. Add in a bitch of a fiance and an intense desire for his High School Sweetheart Cara. Cara is a girl who wants her hearts desire but seems to be settling for less. Then there is Kent. Let's just say expect the unexpected Liz Crowe Style for Kent.
Bravo to Liz Crowe for all the feels you made me feel in this book. I laughed, I cried, I gasped is disbelief. Well done Liz, this is why I will read every book you ever write.
This is book 2 in the Love Brothers series and it follows Kieran Love, Love brother number two. We met Kieran and his fiance, Melinda, in Love Garage and saw that she wasn't well liked by the Love family. This story delves into his relationship with Melinda and his first love. Cara, his high school sweetheart, has returned home and is engaged to lawyer, Kent. Old feelings are stirred up when Kieran has to see a physical therapist for the career ending knee injury and it turns out to be his first love, Cara. We see a bit more of Dominic, the third Love brother, in this story and we just know that there has to be a reason for his anger issues that we get glimpses of. As this story evolves we get hints as to what that reason may be. I am so excited to hear Dominic's story.
If you want to get lost in a wonderful world of gorgeous and moody men who know how to love, you must read Love Brothers series. This second book is just another wonderful story about Kieran who was once a great athlete but was left behind with the injury he is still recovering from. We witness his struggle to get back on his feet and his emotions towards woman he loves and woman he is engaged to. Liz creates characters that come alive as you read their story. You feel like you know each and every one of them and can't stop reading until you find out what decision they make and how their story ends.
I highly suggest reading Coach Love. It's filled with emotions, humor, family and lots of love scenes.
