I am very grateful to netgalley.com for the opportunity to read this book. As with all books I read, I review and comment about them in general terms.
Billy Graham was a influential evangelist in the lives of my parents and I was able to hear him preach in 1973 and at Mission England c 1988 I think.
Over the years he gave a number of interviews with David Frost and the two became good friends.

I have always admired and been fascinated with Billy Graham having had grown up knowing that he is and probably will always be the greatest evangelist of all time. Hearing his voice there is a quality to it that compels a person to know Jesus. When I had a chance to read this book via NetGalley I was very excited and interested because of the format. David Frost writes this book based upon his interviews with Billy Graham and he really asks some hard questions.

This is the book to read if you want a general overview of Billy Graham's public life. David Frost interviewed him frequently and developed a personal friendship with the popular evangelist. Full of anecdotes and insightful observations, this will give you a glimpse into the man God used to communicate His Word to over two billion people.

In the last two years I have had the privilege of reading and reviewing two books written by Dr. Billy Graham - The Reason for My Hope: Salvation and Nearing Home: Life, Faith, and Finishing Well. Judging by the number of reviews on Amazon, I came to the conclusion that they were well-received. But I was shocked by the tepid response to Ruth and Billy Graham: The Legacy of a Couple by Hanspeter Nüeschas which was released on January 7, 2014 and Thank You, Billy Graham: A Tribute to the Life and

Good Overview Of Billy Graham's Life And His Thoughts
There are a few individuals in America that have had this much impact on so many people around the world over such a long period of time. Graham was a friend to ministry leaders, political leaders and world leaders. In fact, Graham has appeared on Gallup's list of Most Admired People 57 times -- more than any other person in the world.

Transcription of a number of interviews with Billy Graham. As such, one can see the consistency of his ministry and His rock solid faith in Jesus. A couple good quotes:
"No one presented the gospel of Jesus Christ as clearly or as straightforwardly as Dr. Graham. He believed his message totally, offered it without apology, and stated unequivocally how urgent he thought it was for people to accept Christ— now."
" 'How do you suggest that Christians get ready for the hard times ahead?' Billy’s answe ...more

I know very little of Billy Graham - which is bad. He was one of the most influential Christians of the 20th century. So I was grateful to pick this book up, to get a little insight and education on him, and his views. So on the plus side - I think the book did give me a taster of his thoughts and ideas.
But I suppose that transcripts of interviews will never be as exciting as the interview itself (one case where the movie is better than the book?), and I found the book quite disjointed and surp ...more

Just finished reading Billy Graham: Candid Conversations With a Public Man by David Frost.
I learned some interesting things about Reverend Billy Graham that I didn't know.
Some of the questions that are answered in the book...
Learn how and when he accepted Christ as his personal savior.
How long did it take him to ask Ruth out for the first date?
And how long before he fell in love with her?
What do the Graham Family have on Christmas morning as part of their tradition?
If the Lord hadn't chosen for ...more

Billy Graham, voice for God
Billy Graham speaks with humble honesty about his own faith in God. His love for everyone no matter what, and his reasoned approach to the Bible and to important issues in society promotes greater insight and understanding. He lights a clear and simple path for the rest of us to follow.

I received this ebook from NetGalley.com and David C. Cook Publishers for my honest review.
For starters I love Billy Graham so I knew I would like this book but I loved it! I am not used to reading books where its about interviews but this book really was interesting from the start to the end. This ebook gave us interviews from David Frost and Billy Graham when Billy just started out until his last interview in the 90's. If you are a fan of Billy Graham's I think you will enjoy this book. Absolutely loved. I so admire Billy Graham and what he has always stood for. I so enjoyed the aspects of what he believes in all subjects of life. So many things to ponder, but yet a simple truth.
I also believe this book came along at a time in my life that I was supposed to hear these things.
What a true blessing sums it up.
There is a question frequently asked, if you had the chance to have dinner with one famous person who would it be. I've always wished for Billy Graham, but dinner would not ...more

The book included excerpts from numerous interviews David Frost did with Billy Graham through several decades. The men were great friends, and that showed in their conversations. I found some of Billy Graham's opinions different from what I would have expected. But the most important thing that he always emphasized in interviews as well as in his preaching: Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and we are saved by grace, not by our own works.

Compiled in conversations between the two men from 1964 -1997, this collection of quotes from both Billy Graham and David Frost is enlightening. Frost was able to get Dr. Graham to speak about himself in ways he would not have in his own books. Consequentially, we learn about the private thoughts of a 20th century icon from another 20th century icon who knew how to get people to reveal themselves.

I enjoyed reading this book.
It was great way to know more the heart of this incredible man of God that has inspired believers all over the world for decades.
I liked how sure He is about the calling of the Lord in his life. I mean, his position is basically this: "I'm a evangelist, I could do anything else but this what I should do and what God blessed me to do". That's so great! Very inspiring. ...more

I am so pleased that I received the opportunity to read this book via a free kindle offer. It was interesting to see what Billy had to say on various topics, and I liked the way that the book was put together. A quick but fulfilling read. Billy is extremely consistent in his beliefs and his message. A truly remarkable servant of the Lord.

I really enjoyed reading and learning about Billy Graham's life. It was seamlessly pieced together with over four decades of interviews with Sir David Frost.
