Read so Far:

Blessed are the Hungry by Victor Fernando R. Ocampo. 5/5 stars. This is an awesome story, and I wish it was a full-length novel, because I would SO buy it. A Sci-Fi Distopian about life on a starship generations after leaving earth, and how the society has evolved - and devolved. We see through the eyes of a young girl as those around her struggle to survive from day-to-day, until things come to a head when the leader of their parish is unjustly executed.

This is the first edition of this magazine that I have read, and I really enjoyed it. I would, however, recommend subscribing rather than buying single issues.

I liked all of the stories in this issue: The Food in the Basement (an excellent twist on vampire stories), Blessed are the Hungry (a revolutionary sci-fi), Insurrection in Silk (powerful female characters everywhere), and Willow Pattern (which wa

I'm giving this 4 stars primarily because of the story Insurrection In Silk by Gillian Conahan. She did a fantastic job with this piece and I was hooked on it from beginning to end. My only complaint was that it was far too short! It was a great and captivating story with a good plot and great execution.

Blessed Are The Hungry was another standout for me. Not so much as the first but I'm a sucker for settings in outer space. It was a little hard to follow at times but still an interes
