I see the magic of a new beginning with you.

Sir Keller de Poyer, a seasoned knight but kind of inexperienced with dealing with the fairer sex, is stationed in Wales and he is awarded a castle and a woman.

Krystobel, is forced into marriage with an Englishman but she is certain that nothing can compare with the nightmare she lives everyday, suffering the abuse inflicted upon her by her own brother.

They find a solace in each other. Trust and love soon blossom and their only obstacle i

This was such a wonderful book to read. Full of excitement and wonderful romance. Characters were so well fleshed out all of them even secondary characters and the villain was truly nasty. Highly recommended.

Once again, I’m captivated by this author-narrator team. I had the opportunity to listen to this audio twice. Second time around, it was just as exciting and suspenseful as the first. A great production from start to finish. Ms. Le Veque’s stories intensify emotions with her captivating plots. She brilliantly draws the reader/listener emotionally--hook, line and sinker. You love, laugh, hate, stomp your feet, and ultimately draw swords and daggers, ready to do battle, alongside hero and heroine. ...more

Sissy's Romance Book Review
Sir Keller de Poyer has been rewarded lands and a title in Wales for his meritorious service...this also comes with a women he must marry. Keller is a older man about 41 years and he has been award with women after being promised to a widow whose husband shows back up. Keller was attached to the widow children and has never gotten over the hurt of that deception. So when he meets his 'new' wife Chrystobel he is quickly attracted to her but is slow to trust her. I liked the main characters and their story, but there was a lot I didn't like about the book.

This book needs editing badly. It really bothers me to read a book with many errors. It is jarring and tears me away from being involved in the story and draws my attention to the writer instead.

The other thing I didn't like is that the bad brother just seemed a caricature. He was all bad and no good and no one is like that in real life. It was a little extreme for me.

Lastly, there was a point

Good story which flowed well. I liked the way revenge was played out by the women and not the powerful protective men. Also liked the way the characters intertwined without centralising on just the couple.
The reason I didn't give five stars was because I was a little irritated by repetition and the mention of teeth. She had "prominent canines"just got me thinking of vampires! The knight had large hands, meant to scan and see how many times this was mentioned because it has to be over 10. By half

Another winner from Kathryn Le Veque! This story about two Welsh sisters abused by their brother and the English Knight that changes their lives forever is heartfelt and action packed. A plot filled with dynamic characters, brutal violence, intrigue and passion....this novel will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved the way Le Veque drew me in and made me care so much about her characters. She is a master storyteller and drags me right into the past with her wonderful historical details an ...more

Love wins out!

Another excellent story written by Kathryn Le Veque! Set in Wales it is a story about an English knight coming to take the castle and marriage to the daughter. He finds evil instead in his new wife's brother. I would recommend reading this story to see how it ends .

Love of A Seasoned Knight

Love of A Seasoned Knight

This author has done such a magnificent job with Netherworld. Keller and Crystobel's story was truly wonderfully written.

Keller, a seasoned knight, feared and respected by others was gifted the castle of Nether and also a bride for his service by William Marshall. Keller was also a man who had his heart stomped on a year prior. He would now have his own land in Wales along with a young Welsh Bride, who he did not particularly want. As he arrives

I have to say this right. Because this book is just..... I don't think I can put the right words to do this book justice. I loved it from the start. The Prologue to the Epilogue. You will fall in love instantly, with both Keller and Chrystobel.

How can I tell you that when you start reading you wont be able to put it down. How can I tell you that she brings you into her book and takes you with her as she writes. I have said these things so many times. It's true each time, but with this book I am
This is the first book I have read by this author. The fact that it takes place during the Tudor Era appealed to me. It was a tender love story, between a hardened fighter, and new Lord to the estate, and the young abused woman who is to be his bride. I loved the chivalry, and kindness. He was strong and dependable, yet cared about her little sister who had also known abuse. I loved his friends, and fellow knights. They went out of their way to make the two ladies comfortable, and happy. There i ...more

The Author Who Doesn't Spell Check

In EVERY single book I've read from this author the books are riddled with typos and extra words in sentences! You can hardly focus on the story at times. I do have to say that this is the first one I have read that the female character differs from the other leading female characters. In the others I have read I can pretty much guarantee what the characters are going to be like and the timing of their "seeing the light" in love. I have enjoyed most of the stori

I like the book mostly because it was set in Wales. As with most of Le Veque's books I've discovered, there are some missing words, which surprises me for someone of her reputation. This one also had a few phrases repeated, so maybe she needs a new proofreader.

As in her other books I've read, she draws the reader in with vivid descriptions, highly accurate historical details and engaging characters. I love her tales of knights because she makes them seem larger than life, yet shows their emotion

Gleaming Gold

Prior to reading this book I thoroughly enjoyed " The Whispering Night". If you saw my review for that novel you will know that it has attained rarified status as one of my favorite of Kathryn's books. Keller de Poyer ever the honorable and gallant knight aided the woman to whom he had been betrothed, her husband and two children escape to safety at the expense of his own feelings because as he stated it was simply the "right thing to do".
So at last the Knight with a "heart of gold"

Much of the story is frustrating but in a good way as the mad brother to Christobel and Izlyn keeps escaping the clutches of Sir Keller and his men. However, at the height of the conflict of the story when Christobel told her sister that they were no longer going to be afraid of their brother, that they would face him bravely, I wanted to cheer.

This is a terrific story, and definitely one to re-read. I loved it!

All the characters were very well written, and I hope that Ms. Le Veque revisits the

Once again this author has delivered a great novel. K was given a castle along the daughter of the current Lord , because he didn't want his son to inherit the land due to his aggressive ways. The Lord son abuses all including himself and his daughters. His son seeks vengeance but underestimate the new Lord.
Great read .

Good story

This book was pretty good. I thoroughly enjoyed the story line. Unfortunately, there were quite a few mistakes in the spelling of some words. some words were left out and some sentences repeated. I will put that down as the proofreaders fault. All in all, this was a pretty good book.

Come into the light

Another enchanting read. It's a good told story that even fits into today's domestic abuse and some of the reasons behind it. Unfortunately especially for woman from those times there wasn't much help for them unless there was a knight who truly believed in protecting the weak. All Kathryns books never disappoint me.

I found it fascinating to read about Whales instead of the traditional Scottish tale. Keller was a tender hero who protected Chrystobel and her sister from their abusive father and neglective father. I loved the side characters too. Recommended.
