I loved books as a child, the library was like a candy store to me. I'm still searching for the answer to "who's my favorite author," when it comes to fiction. For nonfiction, most definitely the answer is Carolyn Myss. Any writer could benefit from her works to help develop characters (as well as understand people and relationships!). Any Libby's Journey reader can see that my favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz. Dorothy brought balloons that carry Libby away. :)
The story begins with 1 Chosen Road: Libby's Journey. Libby begins an adventure from South Carolina, and travels the United States--originally heading to the Grand Canyon for a hot air balloon festival--but sometimes you just have to buckle up and enjoy the ride.
The story continues with Chuck's Song, a novella produced in the fall of 2014. Chuck picks up where Libby's Journey ends.
Hollie's Folly is a novel that runs concurrently in time with Libby's Journey. It follows Hollie Hayes, a young, determined singer/songwriter who follows her dreams from Tybee Island to L.A--but her street of dreams crosses the devil's path.
The series has grown into six books, Mal's Pitch, Megan's Fool and Joe's Heart are in progress (2016).

It's my favorite book. :)

This is the best book I have read in a very long time! The author kept me captivated the whole time I was reading. The way she described things made me feel like I was right there riding along with Libby. The book included excitement, adventure, reminiscing, love, romance, hopes, and heartaches, all that is guaranteed to make you want to read it again, until the next one. I hope! I have read it twice already and loved it just as much the second time as the first! Amazing author!!! Can't wait to read more of her works!!!

This was an enjoyable story about a woman, Libby, who has lost a lot in her life and yet is blessed by good fortune. Her acts of kindness and generousity make you instantly like her a lot, and her attraction to musician, Joe, makes for an interesting romance. She is also a redhead so of course I instantly related to her - being one myself!
Their love story is so natural and sweet that I loved the way it progressed. The line between attraction and friendship is beautifully done, and so discrete - refreshing in the currant climate where erotica seems to seep into so many stories that do not warrant it. In this case, the way their relationship evolved worked wonderfully and I have to admit that I cried at the end.
I don't want to give a spoiler, but you should read this book if you enjoy books that tug on the heart-strings.
At times, I wanted a bit more description. This is the reason it did not score a five. Especially, when she sees the balloons. I thought it needed more. Minor thing though.

I could not put this book down until I finished the whole thing! What I really enjoy about Whirlwind Love is that it does not follow the stereotypical rules of a cheesy romance novel. Quite tastefully written, Libby's Journey is so much more than a love story as there are many surprising twists and turns all the way to the very end. A must-read for any time of year, whether curled up on the couch on a dreary day, or catching rays out by the pool. Truly a wonderful way to "escape" for a few hours while joining Libby on her journey across the nation. A+++

I loved this book! It was full of adventure, excitement, romance, happiness, and sadness. I didn't want to put it down until I finished reading it! It was exciting to see where Libby would go next and the detail by the author of each stop and each adventure was amazing. It has inspired me to take an RV trip in the upcoming weeks and see what adventure is in store for me... Can't wait to read the next book!

I really enjoyed reading Whirlwind Love. The font was so much easier to read. I like the progression of Libby and Joe's relationship. Just can't wait for the next installment to find out what happens to everyone.

I love this story. It includes adventure, Love, hope, joy, dreams fulfilled, and some sadness. Everything that makes a great love story. I appreciated that there weren't explicit sex scenes, but instead the words painted pictures of Libby and Joe just loving each other. I loved the journey, and found myself not wanting to reach the end. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
