Tomie dePaola does this kind of holiday board book very well. Christmas, Hanukah, Easter...Whatever the holiday, he knows how to build up excitement in children by walking them through some of the basic elements that make up their favorite seasonal celebrations. The books are also very re-readable, and have the potential to be passed down through families as a book cherished by each new generation of toddlers.

Plus, you don't have to be a toddler to enjoy the fine artwork of Tomie dePaola.

I can never say enough good about Tomie dePaola's books. This is another hit - Christmas style. What another cute storyline and great illustrations!
Conquering Dinner
A fun book to read at Christmas, especially if you are potty training a child.
I like the more elaborate illustrations in his earlier books much better, though I realise this is for the very young.
