[Siren Publishing: The Lynn Hagen ManLove Collection: Erotic Alternative Paranormal Cowboy Romantic Suspense, M/M, shape-shifters, capture, HEA]
Stripper is no stranger to using whatever means necessary in order to gain the information he needs. He's been hired to find a missing woman who has the codes Nicolas Reno is after. When Stripper kidnaps Reno and takes him to a place where he plans to torture the man for information, he soon discovers that he just might have the wrong guy.
Wilbur Castro has no clue why he's been kidnapped. He wakes tied to a chair in a grungy room with no recollection of the night before. The stranger with hazel eyes keeps calling him Reno and no matter how much Wilbur argues otherwise, the guy isn’t listening to him. His captor is convinced that Wilbur is the man in question. When the real Reno goes after Wilbur, intent on stealing the man's identity and life, Wilbur finds himself reaching out to the very man who'd kidnapped him.
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
Wilbur was hilarious! I loved him to death. The story itself in this book was a bit mediocre, but Wilbur saved it.
Stripper and his team accidentally think Wilbur is the criminal they’re after and kidnap him.
Wilbur rapidly shook his head. “But I don’t want to go in there. Can’t you interrogate me on the front porch with some lemonade?"
Of course they find out that Wilbur is not a criminal and actually Stripper’s mate. Wilbur is shocked to find out Stripper is a bear, although he took it rather well.
“But I’m not a very good pet parent.”
He just has a way with words.
“I actually give lots of fucks. Tons of fucks. I’m a prostitute of feelings.”
Even during sex.
Mine!” Stripper snarled the word as he fucked Wilbur even faster. “Who does this body belonged to? Whose ass is this?” “Mine,” Wilbur cried out. Stripper faltered and then a wickedly sinful smile appeared on his face. “Cognitive thoughts aren’t your specialty during sex, are they?”
And finally, we get a C-section. No ass baby this time.
Most of this I actually didn't have too much issue with. Stripper's issues I didn't find to be all that.. Kind of overplayed a little to ME. I like that
Sorry fellow readers, this is Not my favorite. However I wouldn't go so far as close to being worst. My BIGGEST ever issue with this is the make up sex scene.
Cute and hilarious story, however, does anyone else notice the higher the price of a book, the worst the editing gets..? Hence my low rating. Ridiculous!
Okay there really isn't anything I can say about this book. It wasn't pour a glass of wine over it and set it ablaze bad but it wasn't anything particularly great about it either. The MC's are cute together and the story is okay but it was just okay for me.
I honestly only have overwhelming feels about two things.
And lastly, I really wanted an explanation about the size of Stripper's balls. Cause I'm just saying, it's been a thing that's been talked about in every book since these dudes showed up and yo...I just kind of felt like since this was his book we might get a lil convo about his bits and pieces. I mean like how big are we talking? Bigger than the average bear big, fetish porn big or totally could have been a character in American Horror Story Freakshow big.
I'm totally reading these out of order and am a little pissed at myself for doing it. At least I did remember Stripper from a previous book so I wasn't completely lost. I just adored his little, not-so perfect mate, Wilbur. And can we just take a moment and say WTF is with the name Wilbur?!? That is about as unsexy a name as I can think of. It's horrible! Talk about getting yanked out of a sexy scene..."Oh you're so tight...Wilbur" Ugh! And why aren't these bear shifters and their cum all healing and shit. That would come in handy for these guys. lol. I really did enjoy this little read even with all my nagging.
I really liked this one. I was a little worried in the beginning after the hell Stripper put Wilbur through that I just didn't see any future for them, but I should have known better. Stripper turned out to be much more of a tender loving mate than I thought he would be. And I loved Wilbur, his whole demeanor was incredible, he really was a great character.
Just some confusion on the whole Reno fangs scenerio and lack of connecting-the-dots moment. Those who read the book might understand what I'm getting at.
I really enjoyed this book. Loved Stripper and Wilbur had me cracking up. I enjoyed seeing them come together as a couple. Great addition to the series.
