Attending his first year of college is supposed to be a new start for him but Theo isn’t connecting with the other students and finds the coursework difficult. Then there are the bullies. He’s surprised when another human comes to his aid. Except Theo is very good at running away.
Wylder Carter
Joining the military and continuing his family’s tradition was something that Wylder just accepted. Being asked to join a special operation had been a better option than possibly being sent to war. Except the experiments had gone wrong, with very few of the subjects living. Wylder made it out but now carries additional enhancements.
The military faked his death before paying Wylder a lot of money to go away. Getting an education seemed like the smart thing to do. That was until a little cat shifter caught his attention when Wylder ran to his rescue against a couple of bullies.
Meeting Theo begins a whole new adventure into a world that Wylder had no idea even existed. Four mates? The job of protecting the world? Wylder’s ready to throw himself in fully and enjoy the life that could have so easily been taken away from him.
Aleksander (Alek) Lenkov
As the eldest son of the Lenkov clan, Alek takes most after his vampire father with a few perks. There is a one-in-five chance that the universe would pick him to become this generation’s chosen. In his heart Alek always knew it would be him and spends his entire life preparing.
He’d known that he was safe until he found his first mate. And he’s just met his little shifter mate but his mate ran from him! Alek wasn’t prepared for that. While searching for his wayward mate, Alek runs into an enhanced human that also smelt like his. The time has come for Alek to take on the responsibility that will forever change his and his mate’s lives.
Once one mate is found, the others quickly show up as well. Alek must prepare his mates for trouble even before the mating is complete.

He might be a billionaire and a golden dragon shifter, but he is also all alone. His money can’t buy him happiness, no matter how much Dario would give it all up just to find someone who understands him.
Coming across Theo during a lecture Dario gives at the local university renews Dario’s faith in fate. Except Theo isn’t the only one that is meant to belong to Dario. He isn’t a stranger to the name Lenkov or what that means. Now Dario must help his mates accept their place in their extraordinary world.

As a demon warrior, it is up to Mitch to keep the realms safe when danger threatens to expose paranormal world. He’s been training all his life for this job, but fate has something more important in mind for him.
Being summoned to the human realm has thrown Mitch into a prophecy and challenges everything he thought he knew. Having four mates sounds like fun, but Mitch isn’t quite sure how to connect with them. He doesn’t have much time to figure it out as his youngest mate’s attack is what brings Mitch forward to begin with.
Mitch doesn’t mind being the muscle of the group. But what happens when he can’t see the threats that are around every corner?

I wish I was paying attention enough to notice that the other books in this series weren’t out yet! The writing was good. The characters were complex. The storyline was interesting. The spice (understandably) took a while to build but towards the end of the book, I was hooked. That cliffhanger was wild and I’m not sure how I’m expected to wait for the next book.

This book is amazing. Athena is one of my favorite authors of all time. I know everything they write is going to be great!! The world building is topnotch. The interactions make sense, it’s just amazing. Highly recommend the read!!

I have read this author before, and those books seems ten times better than what this one came out to be. The writing was a bit all over the place. I stopped reading at the halfway point. I had hoped that this book would turn out better, but I couldn't keep going on. Between the way this author wrote it, it seemed either the author doesn't care about creating a good story anymore, or this author isn't who she once was, I just couldn't do it. I don't like I'll read any more of the books by Athena from here on out.
To me, a story should be captivating, holding my attention, and having enough description to keep my interest. This one had none of that. There was moments where Theo was interesting, but his past was rushed, his connection turned rushed with the other MC's too. Which is disappointing because the summary sounded so well written.

Theo, a cat shifter raised in foster care, struggles with college life and keeping his true nature hidden—until military-enhanced Wylder comes to his rescue, introducing him to a world of mates and destiny. Alek, heir to the Lenkov clan, recognizes Theo as his fated mate but is surprised when Theo flees. Meanwhile, billionaire dragon shifter Dario and demon warrior Mitch soon find their own connections to Theo, drawn together by fate. As the group forms, they must navigate destiny, danger, and the challenges of their extraordinary world.
I enjoyed this story with the five men meeting and recognising that they are all mates. Theo was adorable and very like his cat with his love of cuddles and rubs. The ending was a cliffhanger and I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMMMM story with mature content.

This is the first column in a new series which centers around Theo, Wylder, Dario, Mitch, and Alek. The 5 of them are the "chosen" and act as diplomates, fighting evil and coordinating between the supernatural species. In this volume the group meet and start to learn what it means to be chosen all while balancing their new relationships and jobs or schooling. This book does end on a very large cliff but has all the good stuff: age gap, why choose, daddy/boy (very minor and not identified as such), and "little one". I'm eager for the next installment. Spice level: 1

So many realms, so little time!😍😍😁
Ugh!😶 So good, but a cliffhanger? Really!?😒 Theo, Dario, Wylder, Alex and Mitch are fiercely sexy! Falling into Theo's universe is thrilling. Such a crazy ride full of suspense and intrigue. This is the first installment in the Chosen trilogy and it really leaves you wanting more and I can't wait for the next in this exciting and compelling saga!😘 I highly recommend. Remember to check your triggers.🙂

Amazing world building
I adore this author. This one is definitely different than her others, but I gave myself a book hangover. I seriously could not put this down. The characters were fun and so interesting and the story was fresh and charming. Whilst I hate cliff hangers, I still read this and am anticipating the next one eagerly

A great beginning!!!
Ahh…the honeymoon stage of mating. They guys are great! Wylder is a hoot, Theo is sweet. Dario definitely meets the Daddy criteria. Mitch is awesome and Alek is definitely the too serious one of the bunch. Fun watching Wylder push all of their buttons.
Cliffhanger…booo!! Poor Theo really can’t catch a break!!!

might be the best one yet!
I love Athena Steller, I have read every book released and I think this series is going to be my favourite one yet! All the MC’s draw me in for one reason or another but I’m happy the focus is more on Theo as he is my favourite one. Very excited for the release of book 2!

Wonderful
This book is absolutely amazing! The characters are written very well and the story plot is wonderful. Th author keeps you drawn in throughout the whole book. Athena Steller did an excellent job on the book and I simply could not put it down. 5 star ⭐️ rating for sure! 💜

Awesome book
I took a chance on this book. I will say it right that I'm more than ready for the next book. The story had me from the beginning. The story just flowed together really well. I will get the next one as soon as it comes out.

I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was a good start to The Lenkov Journals Series. I did notice there were a few errors but they were a lot less noticeable than in the previous books that I’ve read of Athena’s. I loved being able to immerse myself in this new world that Athena has created. I liked the longer length of the book as it allowed more character and plot development. This is a MMMMM fated mates story between Theo, a Maine Coone shifter, Wylder, an enhanced human, Alek, a vampire with some extras thrown in, Dario, a golden dragon shifter & Mitch, a demon warrior.
Both Theo and Wylder know very little about the paranormal world so I liked that their other mates took things at a speed that they were comfortable with, instead of just rushing into things like paranormals usually do. The whole concept of being brought together by fate at this exact moment to serve a higher purpose is interesting. I’m really looking forward to continuing on with Theo, Wylder, Alek, Dario & Mitch’s story during the next book, even more so after the cliffhanger ending. I’m looking forward to reading more books by Athena in the future. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
