Every year, one of the former APL children's librarians would pull this out for storytime, and I fell in love with it.
Hamilton Duck is sure it's spring--it's getting warmer, the flowers are starting to come up, etc. But one day the sky is full of white! What's happening? Has winter come back?
So every year now I watch for "Hamilton Duck day" in honor of Jacque and all the children she shared it with. It's usually pretty striking around here, and when the library had a row of crabapples in front of it, it was especially striking.
